Love these pubs, years ago pubs like these were rare. Birmingham is a lot more cosmopolitan and versatile nowadays which is amazing. Love the Argentinian singer
although yes the Pat Kav is a good one. With my writer friends we'd have our workshops in the Prince of Wales but we sometimes met up in the Pat Kav instead.
It must be 35 years since I was last in the Bull's Head and it's fair to say that it's changed a lot. The bar used to occupy the entire central area and the seating was spread around the outside. No upstairs area or beer garden back then. You'd find Moseley legend Pete The Feet playing backgammon for money in the back left corner. It had a rather eclectic jukebox - but the policy was that Nick Berry's Every Loser Wins (the theme from East Enders) could only be played once a night and if you put it on a second time, somebody behind the bar would skip it. But any good night finished with The Kinks' Dedicated Follower Of Fashion - the joke being that of all the Moseley pubs, the Bull was the one that all the unfashionable people went to.
And the other big change, which took me a while to notice, is that they've moved the entrance back to the middle. For a very long time the entrance was on the far left, where the bar is now.
Hello, the name of the singer is Kamilo. I think he comes from Argentina but I am not 100% sure. He is on Instagram: kamilo_narino. Unfortunately I don’t know the name of the song. Take care.
