Holy crap.... Derek Savage is such a freaking sociopath! Like you see the film and it's just like "Oh, ha ha, this man made a bad low-budget kids thing", but the more I hear about Daddy Derek the more it seems like he's ACTUALLY a really screwed up controlling person who can't take criticism and doesn't understand why it's bad for him to just do whatever he feels like. Like with that account of how he fired the Mama Cat actress because he wanted to get with her and thought she wasn't interested. I mean, he actually doesn't seem to get why that's bad. And then there's all the twitter stuff that's just so unaware of who he's making these posts for. Can you imagine if there was some kid out there who really did just like Cool Cat as a children's thing and then they just see all this stuff about Cool Cat saying people are fucking dogs and that CNN is fake news? Maybe I'm overthinking things, but this is some crazy bullshit. It feels like the type of stuff I'd expect from Randy Pitchford of Borderland/ Medieval Times Magician Flashdrive fame, but just way earlier and without as much power behind it.

That "gun safety movie" features a woman referring to a shot gun as: "it's like a baby only better." The "movie's" credits also features Derick Savage with a pistol in each hand running around the desert shooting shit and completely ignoring any kind of gun safety.
He even put what amounts to an infomercial for his Cool Cat movies and merch in the middle of the "movie" right after talking about a kid shooting himself accidentally.
The first time I heard his voice it sounded like Timmy's from the Adventures of Timmy the Tooth but the Adventures of Timmy the Tooth had a lot of heart put in it

I worked with Derek on the 420 awards! I did the nominees segments, sent them off to him, then he re-edited them, replaced some of the clips, added posters for no reason, and took out the audio from them for no reason despite the fact I made sure it was all copyright-free. Some of the audio he removed was also stuff I had snuck my own audio clips into, but I don't think he noticed, I genuinely think it's just a coincidence. What an absolutely surreal experience though, I did get a signed copy of the movie out of it.

The Creator of Garfield made Garfield to earn money, and has very deliberately controlled cycles of merch, releases and more to ensure people doesn't get burn out. He also deliberately made Garfield "unfunny" as in mostly he just attracts smiles and a "I know that feeling" relatability, specifically to never reach a high that people will judge all future content from. He created a commercialized cat from the ground up to specifically sell, and has managed to keep it mostly in the background but essentially always relevant. I don't see how that is seeing it as a Godlike Creation? Seems more like a pretty smart business man keeping a brand going far beyond a normal expiry date by doing hard work and brand control.

From my experience, those guys only hate Cool Cat because he's a "furry" and they both hate all furries, not because it's actually a bad movie or because Derek Savage is an awful person (at least until the DMCA claims). I'd rather rely on reviews that aren't biased. From an objective point of view, I'd say that Derek Savage has taught me to NEVER REVIEW ANYTHING, NO MATTER WHAT. I'm sticking to cartoons and shit. But never reviews, even on restaurants. Because I don't want to get fucking claimed. I've already had a dentist go after my mother for pulling a perfectly healthy tooth, causing pain and skin rubbed raw whenever I chew.

He came onto this poor woman and then had the nerve to fire her after she invites the Cool Cat actor to use her shower under the assumption that "there was something going on between them." I wouldn't be surprised if he genuinely believed that that was the case and he got angry that the actor who played Cool Cat was supposedly getting pussy (no pun intended) from the woman he was chasing and he wasn't so he fired her in retaliation.

Not every adult with a complete lack of self-awareness who's out of touch with reality and unable to handle criticism automatically has a disability. A correction: Savage never ended up using theodd1sout’s art for the cover of Bible Birdie. I believe there’s a whole video on the latter’s channel regarding the whole issue. The production of this was amazing, though! I loved the transitions for the chapters! Very nice job on the entire video!
If I remember theodd1 talked about the whole IHE VS Derek Savage fiasco in a video siding with IHE, where he also talked about Bible Birdie and made cover art for the book. Derek reached out about the book cover but soon found out about the video and backed out, Derek Savage claiming to theodd1 that "If you are not with me, you are against me" claiming it was quote from the Bible but it was actually from Star Wars.
Well after seeing this video, here's my thoughts on Derek - Egotistical: This is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Derek. Someone is literally just trolling his movie on twitter and he jumps on a twitter account that's supposed to represent a kids' character to bully them to fuel his massive and fragile ego. It's pathetic, really. - Manipulative: Another trait that lends well to Derek is the fact that he's manipulative. That whole part about him trying to get IHE's video taken down by *allegedly* illegally posing as a law firm is shitty to say the least. Also, the way he never put that 7K to good use is dumb, but then again nobody told those people to donate. - Boomer: He's a boomer. He tries to be "hip" and "cool" but fails every time and merging this with his fragile ego doesn't help his case. - Predatory: Yyyyeeeeeaaahhhh.....that last part about him coming onto people is disgusting. And then to barge into a house like you own the place and you're that woman's BF? Wtf is wrong with you Derek? Anyways that's what I've gathered from this video, is that Derek is an out of touch, insecure, predatory bully. Has he brought joy to some kids and people that love "bad" cinema? Sure, but he's kind of an ass. Also, I saw a lot of people going, oF cOuRsE hE hAs To Be A tRuMp SuPpOrTeR. I have an issue with this not because I'm a Trump supporter (because I'm not), but rather because it's dehumanizing opposition or "the other side" of a certain belief. If we all villainize and dehumanize one another (and both sides do it ALL THE TIME, so don't try to get defensive about what side you're, on if you're even on a side), we'll never accomplish anything. I think that's something we can all try to do better at. But regardless of that advice, we can all agree Daddy Derek (wtf made him think "Daddy Derek" was a good name?) is a POS, right?
I agree with all of this, but to build upon the "boomer" part: of course being a literal baby boomer, as in someone born from that time period is fine. I think it's more the fact that his attempts to be "hip" are purely out of manipulation, not a genuine attempt to understand others (given away by the fact that he chases whatever the biggest issue is at the moment half-assedly and has no clue what all the memes he replies to really are, retweeting right away instead of bothering to do any research first). He doesn't WANT to understand others, he just wants to skip the middleman and go straight to getting the attention he craves. He shows many traits of Narcisstic Personality Disorder, when you combine that with everything you said. Pretty dang disturbing.

Man I will never get tired of the Cool Cat rabbit hole. The deeper you go, the weirder and weirder it gets. The movie itself reminds me of the 3D modeled "surreal" videos, where you aren't entirely sure what you just watched so you send it to other people to make them just as confused and bewildered as you are.
I know right, it's fantastic! The main driving force behind this video was that all this wacky, hilarious shit has gone down outside of the movie but nobody had really consolidated it into one concise video
The best part about this debacle is without YMS, IHE and the other channels he struck no one would know what Cool Cat even is. A couple months ago he tried to get YMS to endorse his next video and Adam absolutely blasted Derek over it.
The problem with Derek taking IHE’s name as him hating it, but saying Adam apparently liked it due to not having that kind of name, is this: Adam’s channel is named YOURMOVIESUCKS.

This was great video, I really like your editing, humor, and style of giving information. I'm very glad people have forgotten my "Cool Cat Joins ISIS" episode with Derek. I handled it all very poorly and regret that whole shit show.

So around Derek's copyright standoff with Alex from I Hate Everything (late 2015), I made a very rushed and unfunny RU-vid Poop titled "Cool Cat Joins ISIS Part 1". It's a very childish video that still exists out there somewhere, with the joke being how many references I could squeeze into the video, and mention ISIS as little as possible for irony. For a few months, it was able to remain up on RU-vid and gained enough views for me to try a 2nd part to the video. Both videos remained uploaded for quite some time. They were really poorly edited and unoriginal, but they were gaining an unnerving amount of views. As a nobody, I was hoping they'd just get around 100 views and fade into obscurity. But I was worried that they would land on Derek's radar in the future, I just didn't know when. Then in early 2016, I had received a strike from Derek on the first video, so I privated the 2nd one immediately and waited for the first strike to pass by submitting the appeal that RU-vid allowed back then (my legal information). I was a stupid teenager at the time and thought I could stand and fight on my little hill, thinking I was some kind of underdog that could win a legitimate legal battle with a grown adult. Eventually Derek's strike appealed since he never responded to my submission, so I un-privated the 2nd part of Cool Cat Joins ISIS. Very soon after, Derek struck the 2nd part down, so I repeated my actions of privating the first video, and appealing the strike. I thought I was dodging the system quite well at the time. Then in March of 2016, I received an email from Derek's exact Yahoo address from his website. It read: "So you like ISIS and your address is: *REDACTED FOR THIS COMMENT.* I wonder if the official ISIS websites have your address?" Derek had used my legal address at the time from my copyright appeal to send me this, and I took it as a threat. We had an argument through email, which I can share in a more proper time and place if anyone cares to see it, I tried my best to remember to archive this stuff. Basically in that conversation, Derek tried to scare me by saying he'll forward my information to "the FBI Terror division". I was freaked out for months because Derek had convinced himself I was actually a proponent of terrorism. Within the same day, he had some arguments on Twitter from friends of mine who simply asked why he struck the videos down. Within these arguments, he shared my name and address on Twitter publicly, and he was called out for it by those friends of mine. He has since deleted everything acknowledging me, and I have some screenshots from the ordeal. He also said he'll continue to post addresses from anyone else he wants to copyright strike in the future, which thankfully he never did. Now in the meantime, I'm not completely innocent. Like I said, I was a stupid teenager that thought he was tougher than he was. I made some update videos showing what Derek was doing and calling him out for it. There was a lot of inappropriate insults and name calling that wasn't necessary. It was dumb, wrong, and irrational on my end, but I doubt Derek or anyone that supports him even saw these videos. So it was all essentially Derek doxing me and threatening to dox others, and more fraudulent claims of legal action against others. It really made me fear for my safety to an extent. Thankfully, he's never acknowledged me since, even though I've continued to meme Cool Cat constantly over the years. Others have re-uploaded the Cool Cat Joins ISIS videos to RU-vid and other sites, but I think Derek struck those down over the years. They're not even funny videos, lol, so a lot of people saw it as wasted effort on his end. Eventually my channel got struck down from other strikes, which may or may not have been from Derek, I cannot confirm. That's why I have the stupid "2.0" in my name. Now I don't think I have anything to do with this, but a few months after my channel and the ISIS videos were terminated, Derek uploaded his "SAVAGE CRIME Show" video, where he acknowledges some ISIS attacks of that year. I really hope I didn't get that far into his head, but if out little episode had any influence on him making that video, I wouldn't be surprised. Anyways, I'm so sorry for the wall of text. This was very cathartic to write, and doing so made me realize the errors of my ways from back then. Derek sure scared me, but I think he and I have both moved on and I'm very glad nothing horrible came out of it. If anyone wants me to elaborate further, I still have some stuff archived.
