Good Work. My friend and mentor would enjoy it too. I worked with Burt several times over the years and was an apprentice at his dinner theatre in Jupiter.

Hi Gator Mcklusky, what an awesome documentary you have done... I'm a big fan of burt Reynolds.... Thank you so much for this great clip... I can't wait to see part 2... Can I ask you who is singing the intro song? That's absolutely awesome 🤠🎸🐊... In the original it is from Jerry Reed... But who is singing this cool version? Thanks so much good buddy. I really appreciate the tremendous compliment. Worked really hard to honor my hero Burt. I'm in a couple bands... I'm a drummer... I guess that's why I'm a decent editor. Got the timing down... My band WHEELHOUSE JUNCTION recorded the Gator track and I'll leave a link for you. It's available on iTunes as well. Again, thanks so much for the kind words and I hope to continue to entertain you. Cheers! Gator ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-H0vx41OIutA.html

absolutely solid Brother! Growing up, was always a fan of Burt. His characters resonated with me along with his personality he showed on talk shows. He also had a "vacation" home in my hometown of Winter Haven. You obviously put a lot of sweat, due diligence and swag into this biopic. Keep 'em comin'

Certainly looking forward to chapter two! He was certainly n American icon. I know Burt took a lot of heat for his temper, but I think people didn't realize he was in pain a lot from his injuries and on medication. Despite the few gaffs he had early on, I heard that most people enjoyed working with him. I was talking to a younger friend of mine the other day about the film "Deliverance;" It was shame that he had never heard of it. I told him to immediately go home and watch it! Bring on chapter two Gator!

Very interesting bio. I first became aware of Burt when he did Dan August. Before the Cosmo spread he was mostly known for being the boyfriend of Dinah Shore, who was 20 years his senior. Saw Deliverance when it first came out. Found it quite disturbing as I have never seen anything like what was depicted in that movie. One thing that always bothered me though. Why would you choose to do a fat slob like Ned Beatty, when you can have a handsome stud like Jon Voight? I'm not gay, but even I can see the difference between the two.

@@GATORMcKLUSKYreviews When John Boorman was looking for a toothless man who could act, Burt remembered doing gunfighter shows in the streets of the Ghost Town in the Sky amusement park in Maggie Valley, NC with Herbert 'Cowboy' Coward. When I visited the amusement park in the early 90's I heard or perhaps read that Burt had worked there before he became an established actor, but it seems he actually made a celebrity quest appearance there when he was working on Gunsmoke.

I'm sure you'll get to this down the line Gator, but Operation CIA reminded me of Burt's guest appearance as himself in the season 3 "The Man from Jupiter" episode of the aminated comedy "Archer." Archer is a huge fan of Burt (having name-checked him in several previous episodes and says that Operation CIA inspired him to become a spy. And Burt responded, "“Really? That movie was just god awful.” There's also a cool Burt car chase in the episode.

I believe I show a still photo of one of the scenes, but no, unfortunately, there have yet to be any deleted scenes leaked. Such a shame… Boorman is 88 and still alive so maybe it can still happen. Would be worth trying to reach out to him and ask. You never know… Thanks for the kind words and I’m glad to have you here as a subscriber. I sent an email to John Boorman’s production company in Ireland. You never know… all I can do is ask… Thanks for planting the idea. Here’s what I sent: Hello, I’m trying to get a message sent to Mr. John Boorman. If you could forward this his way I would be eternally grateful. My name is Gator McKlusky and I have been working on a Burt Reynolds documentary series. In the first chapter released, I cover his greatest performance in the classic film “Deliverance”. Many of the fans and viewers of this chapter have been shocked to hear the story Burt tells about some of his best scenes getting cut from the film. The way Mr. Boorman describes his choices in making these cuts are completely understandable as they would have changed the film’s narrative. This brings me to my question… Is there any chance we can see those scenes? Burt’s career has often been overlooked and made fun of for his lack of depth and quality performances. My understanding is that these cut scenes show what a fantastic actor Burt was and can enrich his legacy. I very much hope this message can find Mr. Boorman and I hope and pray that he is healthy and happy, surrounded by loved ones. GOD bless… All my very best, Gator McKlusky ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wN0_ipPlYOk.html
