Hey Carlos! Really really glad you took my suggestion(I don't know if others suggested this place too). Now please remove all memory of the Mumbai pani puri and try the fuchka of Kolkata from a place that serves tamarind water(imli paani) and not the green mint water(pudina paani). Try both the sweet and sour versions. Also, take a 'churmur' while returning with the sweet dal vada from the fuchka stall. Ask him to make it extra spicy 😉

I know I'm watching this almost 2 years after u uploaded this, but this place is called Barabazaar. It's history goes back to the 16th century, even before Kolkata was even established...this was a traders' and merchants' hub along the silk route. So 400-500 years back traders from every part of Central Asia, the Middle East and eventually things that came from Europe via the Mediterranean merchants along the silk route came through here to this part of the country. Later, after the East India company set up shop in the city and established other ports across like Kunming in China and Hong Kong, they would trade commodities from Barabazaar and ship them from the diamond harbour port to their warehouses in Hong Kong and vice versa.

Way to go exploring a city, travel to it's nooks & corners, lanes & bylanes, keep it up Carlos

The Mosque is the biggest mosque in Kolkata called Nakhoda Masjid.Carlos is stralling in the Burrabazar area which is Paikari or lumpsum market where small retailers buy their goods and it is cheap there.
