I think there should be a new law to allow the condo owners to installed their charger. At my place JMB also doesnt allow that, and i think that hinders a lot of people from getting their electric cars.
One of the reason i sold my apartment and move to a landed. I know not everyone is privileged to be able to do this transition ( I'm grateful, not flexing). I saw this coming knowing Msians are generally are too slow to adopt EV especially with low fuel price
One of the challenges is raising the management fees (double if not triple) so that the JMC can build a new substation and apply and pay for new infrastructure for additional power from TNB so that the condo can accommodate additional load like EV charger and won't suffer from potential power shortages due to overloading the existing power lines which didn't account for EV charging when they were being built.
We just got our Dolphin from Sisma as well 2 weeks ago. Been loving the car allot. BTW the front arm rest area 13:58 of the video is the wireless charger for the high spec version to keep the phone from sliding out.

I very like this video! I like these genuine, un-scripted first impressions and also that you tested a «normal» car. I have owned a BYD Dolphin for 9 months (20,000 km) and can fully confirm the statements in the video. I bought the extended version (150 kW, 60 kWh); not because I need its range or performance, but because it has better features and I like its colours better.
You lucky people... Those of us in the US are forced to buy overpriced EVs.

@@tenchichrono Thailand is very aggressive at the moment. The government wants to transfer the local car production to EVs and therefor gives special conditions for brands, which will build factories in Thailand. Currently there are BYD, GWM, MG, Changan, CATL and others. So we customers get special conditions and there is also a price war between the manufactures. BYD wants to become the Toyota of EVs and dictates the prices.
Gettng one soon. My Tesla 3 twin motor has been given to my daughter. I am upgrading at much lower cost. My brother in law got a BYD Seal 3.8s and it is better in every way to Tesla 3.

You do do reviews like no others, Bobby! Seat of the pants, void of unnecessary tech details. I believe that was the standard range variant which you drove. @@esk4105 reliability x sure la ev sebab masih baru, distance range depends speed dan cara pemanduan, dh ada owner beli MG4 64kwh NCM bateri drive town driving boleh dpt 444km and balance power bateri tinggal 17% - 99km. Sy fokus handling and fun to drive. Dolphin yes fokus more comfortable and features. Bateri BYD yg hasilkan sendiri blade bateri and MG4 pakai bateri dari CATL LFP and NCM.
Jangan risau, BYD juga akan selamat untuk beli. Pun, Toyota dan beberapa jenama lain juga BYD batteri tapi tak ada komplen. Dan jangan lupa, BYD ada joint venture dengan Toyota. Bagaimanapun, pun MG tak sebaik BYD skit dari segi reliability tapi MG dan BYD masih baik dan selamat daripada Tesla

Depends. But many people still buy BYD Dolphin in terms of durability, features, safety, fuel distance range and technology. Want performance and handling, can get MG4
my VW polo have better comfortable seats than the Dolphin.. suspension is also harder, easily noticeable at higher speed.. the big difference is the saving on fuel vs electricity.. hence, we use Dolphin as 1st option, Polo for 2nd car..
the problem is countries trying to protect their domestic car production, so they limit the price , for eg. malaysia only allowed EV which is more then RM100k. if u see in china, they are small EV only cost RMB 25k , the brand called wuling mini, which once the sales was better then tesla, for this kind of money, thre's no aftermath, it's kind of "wear & tear" product, especially the petro price is high in that country, in that case, an EV car only cost RMB 25k, saving on patro, that's true " money saving". while in others countries, they talking about tesla are "money saving" is totally BS, thre's no saving in that kind of EV pricing, especially in Malaysia/countries that the petro is not that expensive, they would have replace the whole battery set for small battery water pipe leaking/broken aka no technical support, and the 2nd hand value is a nightmare, 3 years car price depreciation 40%, 5 years 60%(in taiwan), and the new user says the electric bill is so cheap and 0 maintenance .
@@jameswong7061 Totally agree with you. 0 maintenance? Lolzzz....wait till the warranty is over you'll see. ICE car also 0 maintence when you buy NEW and under warranty. EV user really can't see what is coming after their warranty is over.

Wait till your warranty over, you'll see how they charged you for those nonsense software updates. EV spend MYR12-20k to buy a changer at home. This amount of money ICE car can keep it for their maintenance after 5yrs. Every year EV car software update will cost you MYR HUNDREDS that is equivalent to service an ICE car. Mark my word for it, the car industry won't be so nice to you, you really think is 0 maintenance? BMW charged me Rm80 just to reset my software every time after the service that I've done. Don't ask me why, called them and ask. After 5yrs EV 2nd value will nose dive to hell, who want a 5yrs EV car with outdated tech? We have many EV noob especially the new gen keep thinking is 0 maintenance, car manufacturers will not be so nice to us, If not how they can sustained a company, DON'T BE NAIVE!!!!!
