Probably money gimmick! They need to increase the FPS AND CAPACITY

They cancelled it because people complained about the fps and power of the first shot which is the most critical one. Because it fires as soon as you pull the trigger, the compressed air doesn't have a chance to build up to full power like it does in the SD and LE editions because those have a safety trigger that you have to flip before firing. The EP was designed without it because people asked for one that would simply fire straight out of the holster. Byrna gave them the EP and they complained that it wasn't as powerful as the SD and LE on that first shot... It's one or the other, you can't have both LoL.

BS, the EP has the best pull to pierce shot of any of the other byrna launchers. EP first shot is at 310 fps while the SD barely reached 180. Byrna discontinued it probably because the higher priced SD made no sense vs the EP.

The ep first shot is 6joules then 13joules down. It hit harder than the sd. To be effective you need to empty the mag on the purp.

That's mostly true, but the SD and LE are better on shot 2-7, so it balances out in favor of the SD and LE.

Play times are you got to have protection for yourself when you're in the field out in the streets there's no joke did you get a 9mm you might as well just get that wrong thing about right now they need to increase their clip 15 to 20 in a clip instead of the 7

True the S2 is more powerful, but it's also newer than the SD so of course it's going to be a step forward. The thing most people like about the Byrna is the trigger piercing system. The S2 is a smack system that can cause the launcher to be charged when you least expect it. Granted it's not gonna happen often, but it is a possibility. And it also could be an issue in a stressful situation when you're being attacked if you haven't practiced doing it a lot. Most people will buy one and put it away until it's needed and not practice with it much. First instinct will be to pull the trigger like a firearm, not smack the bottom of the handle of the launcher.
