The first time I saw Josh I was like “Holy shit he sounds and looks exactly like Rami Malek”. It took me a couple years to realize that was actually Rami Malek
Watching this after The Quarry play through ended and totally blown away by the difference with everything about Sean and his recording style!!! Also feeling old once I realized this video was SIX. YEARS. AGO.
@@LegitParchment well if you search up the meaning of curse it says a solemn utterance intended to invoke a SUPERNATURAL power to inflict harm or punishment on someone or something and if you are talking about the TV show supernatural then you are still wrong
The real sucky thing is that in this game, they went with so many twists and turns that somehow blend together, they'd never be able to do it LIKE THAT again without it coming off as schlocky.
Yknow, once a few of my friends and I were pranked on Halloween by our other friends (Remember when we could go to parties?) and we were all disappearing one by one. I said that I wouldn't die since I was main character material, and immediately fell down the stairs, somehow without a scratch. Maybe I was right. But then, what genre am I in-
@@PxndaCakes if your genre is action related you only have like 30% chance of dying but you have 70% of dying or at least getting one of your fingers cut off in horror genre lol
Fuck, coming back to this, 6 years later, after watching him play The Quarry is an . . . experience . . . . don't think I was ready for the old intro XD
my thought exactly. I just watched his quarry play-through and came to this, immediately was surprised by his scream and just overall yelling, been a while since ive watched an older vid of his
Such a disappointment. Came back to this masterpiece to feel the nostalgia. When these series came out i was so hyped for every next episode. When jack started Man of medan, i got bored by the second episode.
I got weird vibes, but I excused it on Rami Malek's acting xD I think he's great, don't get me wrong, but he has a tendency to give off weird vibes. Or maybe I just will always see Mr. Robot when I look at him and thus always get weird vibes.
@@vickilljoy6099a reason why i think it was great to fake his death in the game. he was a suspicious character from the start but his fake death completely takes him off the list
I watched this video after watching a rant video saying that Lets Plays don't kill the desire to play games. I haven't bought a game in 2 years since I started watching lets play videos.
+Zach Claxton I've been watching Lets play videos for about 2 years now and haven't bought a single game since. Game like Duck Game and Rocket League may encourage viewers to buy and play, but story heavy games like this have lets players spoiling the plot and the gameplay isn't engaging enough for some viewers to pay money for.
true, but you can pick multiple paths, so you can try different paths in game, i wish i could buy the game, but i dont have a really good computer for it.
It wasn't that I was too lazy, it's that I was too scared but now I've discovered that I love horror, mystery games where you have to make choices so I came back. To Jack's let's play as for some reason he makes me less scared XD
I know this is years late but all Sam had to do was follow the group and warn Hannah before she entered the bedroom instead of going to go look for her upstairs.
One thing I really love about these games, is how set in their time they are. They're characatures, to some extent, but everything about this game makes it feel super mid-2000s, and it's like a time capsule to look back on. The clothes, the animation, the controls/promps, Jack's classic gaming RU-vidr sheet backdrop and fine-but-not-high-def camera... it all takes me back, and I really love that about this. In a few years, his 'The Quarry' playthrough will probably feel exactly the same.
I agree. it kind of reminds me of how I get a wave of nostalgia every time I pick up "Life is Strange" again. it's fun to see games (or really anything) that are/is based around their time because I love history, and getting to see a piece of it up close and detailed is really cool.
This game was what really got me into Rami Malek as an actor (I'd already seen him in Night at the Museum and Twilight, but I never really looked him up/sought out his other projects after watching those). A lot of the comments on Until Dawn videos back in 2015 mentioned his performance in Mr. Robot so I checked it out, and now that is one of my favorite shows of all time. I've been following all his projects since then. :D
*Grabs pillows and blankets* Welp I'm gonna be here for awhile, I've already watched Pewdiepie and Markiplier's parts that they have so far, time to see what good old Jacksepticeye will do, this'll be fun
+misteria247 I watched at midnight in the pitch black with my back to my bedroom door, when both my sisters were asleep downstairs and the front door unlocked. I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO smart.
I feel you, i was so excited to play man of medan after playing until dawn and was very disappointed because i honestly thought it was gonna compare to this game, was still a nice play but not as immersive as until dawn
@@Smiley0.1 i really wish so too, i still haven't watched the play through for house of ashes yet but if it's anything like the one they released after man of medan about the witch trials it won't be good :(
@@rosiekeiser4664 I know I feel so bad :( they treated his depression when they needed to treat his schizophrenia and that lead to his death. I wish he had a better ending but it be like that sometimes.
PurpleBlob70 *watches Mark’s series* *watches again* *realizes Jack made a series* *spends the rest of the month watching it over and over, alternating between the two*
If Jack enters a room for that it'd probably be: More energy than a jackrabbit. Jack (Sean) Has a youtube channel Loves cake and cookies Louder than all hell.
+jacksepticeye absolutely do more of this game, it's so damn GOOD. Also, for next comments vid: what's your favorite Newgrounds porn game, and have you heard of Applequest. If not, don't play it. If so, I'm sorry.
I know this is so old this comment will get buried, but Jack's playthrough of this game is one of the things I've listened to for comfort numerous times over the years. And I just wanted to put that out into the internet and show my appreciation
Me too! And I was never a fan of horror but there's something about this video that is so nostalgic. Even though the game is fantastic, I don't get as much satisfaction watching other playthroughs. I think Jack just adds a wonderful combination of authenticity, insightful commentary, excitement for the story, and balanced humor which adds beautiful layers to the experience. And it's not forced humor either, just enough to demonstrate wit and intelligence. I hate other gameplays that try to make everything a joke because it subtracts from the horror element and makes it feel like they're mocking everything. So I totally get where you're coming from.
i know this is an old playthrough but i love the way he reacts with so much delight at tiny little details like the swiping to unlock your phone, programmers put in so much effort that goes unacknowledged by many players sometines. i mean, most art is taken for granted, and it’s not as though plenty of gaming youtubers/streamers don’t give credit where credit is due, but the way he reacts - the little “ooh! that is so COOL!” would make me so happy to see if i’d been the one to add that into the game. mr. septiceye doesn’t let details go unnoticed and i think that’s pretty neat
Jack, I just want to say thank you. Wait I want to say thank you to everyone who reads this, everyone here has done great to make this community what it is. And I hope this community never changes. Jack has gotten me though hard times but it always makes me feel better when I see you guys be nice to each other. This community is so great. Again thank you all for what you have done.
They can't hear him, he's got soundproofing all over his walls (if you didn't know, that foam wallpaper all the RU-vidrs have that's usually in a checked pattern is soundproofing) if he didn't have that he'd probably get loads and loads of noise complaints
oh my god watching this in 2018.. jack look like a little baby from what he looks like now.. he has grown up so much. so proud of him.. we love a glow up..
this is super unrelated and nobody is gonna read this, but while i had this video playing i finally had the motivation to clean some stuff in my room. just wanted to document it for myself :) it's been a rough 2 years.
For my fellow jumpscare-haters, I compiled a list of moments that might startle you since I haven’t seen another one yet. The more asterisks, the more frightening I found each scare. vvv 8:36* 27:18* 32:16* 35:33** 36:56* 42:31** 50:56* 1:00:13***
+MrAlextester Beth didn't survive..the branch she was holding broke and she fell to her death. I've watch pewdiepie yesterday and he picked the 'drop hannah' option. either way, they both died..
PredatorNet No! We don't hate you!... Well... you and Alien did kinda have a battle that could've been somewhere else that did a lot of damage... so... I wouldn't blame people if they did...
Welcome to Blackwell ... uh, Blackwood. I guess. I mean, its got butterflies, its got totems, its got weird prophecies ... just needs some dead birds and a storm and I could feel at home in that place.
"Gotta fire up the generator..." - I feel like after people pointed out how often you needed to find keys in video games, devs switched to generators (and their close companions, elevators!) instead. I swear, I have played so many frickin games in which I find myself, at least once, with an objective along the lines of "start up the backup generator to power the elevator". At least this one doesn't have an elevator. Yet.
