Terrific breakdown of the camera. Thank you for taking the time on this video and not rushing it out the day the embargo was lifted. Your effort in putting the video together made it very enjoyable to watch. And your photos looked great.
Great video and some really stunning stills in there. Incredibly excited to finally use it myself, hoping it'll arrive in the next few days! Liebe Gruesse!
Great video. The camera body is weather resistant. Just the lens is not at the front, which is why adding the adapter plus filter completes the resistance to fluid ingress.
@@verymental6999recommend you watch it. Very objective and lots of interesting shots compared to head shot technical waffles out there from other users. He used the V before I think, so has significant experience with the form factor.
I been waiting for this to come out. But... now that it's out. I still have not pulled the trigger. I'm too in love with my X-E1 & my X100 original. Not to mention i have a griiix. I was waiting for the VI for the ibis. I hope the size is not an issue. I gotta put one in my hands !
@@phillipbanes5484 that means what you read. US youtubers have the biggest share of views in the tech community. That is not an attack on them, that is great Americans have a big and passionate audience. All I`m saying is I`m happy to see other talented people gaining the same recognition. Chill
Great video! Loved the photos and videos you were showing. Liked seeing what the photos look like. Subscribed. Also what lut are you using for the video section where you’re talking. Edit: also people laughing at you saying it’ made you a better photographer are a joke. It made you go out and shoot more therefor you’re getting better
Think the tech experts say use a Thunderbolt cable and an M series iPad, Mac or iPhone 15 pro for super fast data transfer in preference to any wireless options. I’m taking an X100VI back to its birthplace (China) in a few weeks. Planning to only use Fuji apps for remote triggering and local sharing, then primary sort with 11 in iPad Pro after data transfer, some initial culling and editing whilst there, and then back up to a portable SSD for added safety. Limited iCloud access in China.
Tiny correction, you stated it's a 45mm equivalent when you meant 35mm. Great video though mate. I preordered one and cannot wait to have my first ever x100.
Great video mate, it's actually crazy the cult following this line has got. I will buy a camera one day but most likely the xt range if i go for fuji. 😎🔥
As a owner of the X100 original, i'd someday update to the previous X100V. I'd love to have a FF 35mm F2 lens, because the 23/F2 does have a different DoF, compared to 36x24mm Sensor. from DoF, it's like a 35/F2.8 lens.
It's not the camera, it's just just how do you approach this tool. X100 series is limiting you to think, compose and slow down, but it's not making you better photographer. It's just a tool. BTW. Owner of X100VI and XH2s :) So for all wanting to buy this tool, it's great camera, but it's not the gold recipe for being better photographer. And most important thing, it's not designed to be the only one camera for photographer in my opinion, maybe if you are very limited to certain kind of photography. If you are looking something for start it's not the best choice. X-T3/4/5 + zoom lens for a start is better until you learn and figure out what focal length do you prefer. Then you can buy prime lens.
Sort of. I use high end Canon gear since the 1980s with loads of very good lenses including some lenses that cost more than an HS2 and lens. I took a long time to decide to keep my (month old) 100VI. Until yesterday I was considering an XT5 or XH2 as a travel alternative but they are too big, heavy and overt with good zooms and a prime or two. I use full frame Canon SLRs and DSLRs, and the great little EOS M5 system for travel. At the other extreme I’ve shot Fuji 6x9 and Bronica MF, all over the place for decades too so I am used to heavy photography expeditions. So what attracts me to the small fixed lens X100VI? Size, low profile (only black achieves this), build quality, weather resistance, low weight, good lens (don’t believe the negative comments on this, it stands up to very expensive alternatives from f4), Fuji recipes. I could go on. It was marginal on investment between a fully kitted out X100 and the more SLR like XT5 or XH2. But as a highly experienced film and digital photographer since the mid 1970s, I understand all the technical aspects I’ll ever need to know to abstract good images from an X100. If a wealthy beginner or intermediate photographer wanted an excellent starting kit of quality then definitely a Fuji XT5/XH2 is the way forward as for about £3 to £4K you can build an excellent long lived system based on good glass. Maybe even start second hand with an XT4 and a couple of Fuji primes. Good quality kit for sensible money. In summary, assess your use case. Getting a high quality camera like an X100VI is crazy for a beginner or influencers.. It’s a semi pro level tool, not costume jewellery…
@@phillipbanes5484 I see. I don't actually pixel peep too much but I'm more into the retro palette of colors that XTrans sensors often renders emulating those film simulations. Plus 40mpx is so much for me already so I'm quite fine with my X100v currently.
Maybe *someday* Fujifilm would include a *real* rangefinder, see the french camera "Pixii" for comparsion. That's what i do like & prefer, from my 35mm film rangefinder, not just a OVF, or hybrid OVF/EVF.
Tolles Video!
Really think these cameras are over hyped. The lens and AF are really not great for the price. I compare it to an rx100 with a way smaller sensor and that seems to produce Sharper images. Only thing these have is the film recipes which is available on any fuji
The more I see the black, the more I question why I pre ordering the silver. They both look gorgeous but someone told me the silver takes better pictures lmao.
FUJI, please make an interchangeable lens version exactly like this one...10:20 moving around to find a comfort zone, is a missed shot and opportunity! I opted for an X T3 and now the X H2. Great cameras and not that big, except for your pocket but cheaper.
Bro the camera doesn’t make you a better photographer. It’s just a tool as any other camera. In fact good photographers don’t even bother in telling people with what camera they took a photo because at the end nobody care. It’s the composition what matters the most.
Good point about the battery.. I also wonder if the screen or EV could have been better.. four years and they keep screen quality is kind of lame or does the V screen look good?
If a camera alone can make you a better photographer, then you have never been a good photographer. To the best, you are a recorder relying on a machine to work.
A true artist will allow inspiration to come from anywhere (including a new piece of gear). And inspiration leads to progress, so your take is invalid. Not sure you aren’t a bot though, so I’m not going to spend anymore time here..
