Sonic and The Odyssey I’d be up for that or one based off several Greek gods, primarily Hercules/Heracles, and perhaps Sonic enduring his own twelve trials/labours like Hercules or something like that.

Sci-fi would have probably included things like H.G. Wells The Time Machine, Edgar Rice Burroughs Barsoom series, and not really sure what else, if anyone knows what other novels have been used please tell me, I’d like to hear your ideas.

@@CornelioLazarus-sg4gx A dagon themed level where the land and sea are shifting. Running through the village in call of cthulu. Climbing the mountains of madness. Non-Euclidean level design with impossible paths. A level that halfway through, its revealed that you are running around on the body of an impossibly large creature. Have the main gimmick being a cross between unleashed and colors. Strange lovecraftian powers or a new form. Main villain could be trying to use the old ones to gain power. But in thr middle, sonic stops them... but not before they wake one of the old ones. The rest of the game involves sonic helping the villain to stop the old one. At the end, the former villain would use their plan to give themselves power on sonic as the game's Super Equivalent.

Imagine Sonic.exe being the main villain.

Maybe it would have been similar to the story of the Odyssy

Sonic as Sun WuKong? This feels so weird considering the fact that Sonic is mostly reliant on his speed. I feel that Knuckles would fit in better with the story. At least that’s my thoughts. PS: I’m Chinese American so I know the story rather well.

@@worldsfunniestvideosandbes3684 That sounds like a good idea! Knuckles is the strength of the crew after all. Sonic might as well be an outsider who joins in for a portion of the story (since the games wouldn't follow the stories to a tee either). But it might surprisingly work, as Sonic's character was inspired by Goku, and Goku's character was inspired by Sun Wukong, so there's indirect insparation there as well.

@@rumeysaongul4765 I still don’t think that it would work. Based on my knowledge of the story, I think that Sonic would probably be better as an outsider than becoming one of the characters.

And Sonic Boom might not be doomed by the bad release on the WiiU

Romance of the Three Kingdoms spin-off would be insane. I don't even think Team Ninja has made a game for Sonic yet. "Super Sonic Warriors" could be a thing too if it wasn't taken by Dragon Ball Z first but it would be- I imagine a game about Sonic landing in the world of Dynasty Warriors. Feels like a "Spin off of a Spin off" if I were to say a "Spin off of Sonic and the Black Knight" but with a twist! Eggman tries to rule over China
