The band that disappeared for 23 years and came back strong and wind up hitting number 2 on the billboard charts and getting nominated for the album of the year. Even if they dont get album of the years its a big accomplishment for what they did.
Every night, before go to sleep,I hear this song with my 4 years old son. I love this tune the most in the album,Move Like This. It is real masterpiece! I
This was the song that brought me back to that old Cars sound when Move Like This came out. Ric's vocals, Greg's keyboards, the band harmonizing on the chorus, and a similar chord structure to stuff like You Might Think... all things combined, a great tune.
Why is this not a single or on the radio all the time?? One of their best!! This album is a combination of their older stuff along with some new sound....Amazing feat considering they did it without Ben this time.
i seen THE CARS in NYC on May 25th at Roseland. it was a great show , bought a white CANDYO shirt, afterwards went to a karaoke bar and sang Lets go by the CARS
love the song Too Late from this album. I didnt even know they release a new album??? what a great suprise. Definately belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They were inovators and great artists
Great Song....So glad they were able to put out another record and tour (I had never seen them back in the 80's). Miss Ben Orr but glad to see Ric, EE, Greg and David.. They didn;t play this song in NYC and was disappointed cause I think this song embodied the CARS more than any song on the Release "Move Like This".. Great Job..
Move Like This is as good as anything else I'm adding to my iTunes these days. No radio for me! I listen to indie, alternative, underground, pop, rock, and pop/rock, mostly out of 4 big cities on the west coast, the New York area, and little tiny Scotland. Too late has been the fastest climber in my iTunes during June. The Cars were amazing in 1978 and they're amazing in 2011.
@THECARS7879 I was there too fellow CARS fan... Great show... Ended too early. Found myself wondering what to do after the show but had a long train ride back to the Island. Got the CandyO shirt for me, my wife and daughter... Hope they have another tour...
It is absolutely heartbreaking without Ben and I think they should be ashamed to call themselves The Cars without Ben. It broke Ben's heart when Ric told him he wasn't part of the band anymore, however that went down. Of course, Ben never let it show. He was such a good person. Benjamin Orr had a heart of gold. 🧡✝️🇺🇲 Benjamin Orr was and always will be The Man. He was a patriotic American, as well. R.I.P. BENJAMIN ORR. 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
Saw them in Seattle and had a great time. They did a lot off this new CD but not this song. My favorite song on the CD, love the trademark Greg Hawkes keyboard and quirky Rick Ocasek lyrics. Only missing a great Elliot Easton solo but can't have 'em all.
Ben Orr was not replaced , they said they werent doign that, If anything Greg played the bass. and all of the guys were responsible for the success of the CARS, Ric Ocasek along with David Robinson( he did the album work) , Benjamin Orr cause of the voice, and Greg Hawkes, and Elliot Easton guitar solos
@INDLIS I NEVER forget Elliot, in my posts, I always refer to him as EE. The Best Lead Guitarist ever (In My Opinion, but I am extremely biased, lol)...
R.est I.n C.hrist , I hope you repented and you made it R.I.C. Ric O. May he Rest in Peace Ric Ocassek The Man Exp.Sept 15, 2019, Revealed March 23,1944
ben was replaced and the new bass player sounds just as good.this new music sounds much better than the music they made when he was with them.bands move on and replace people, its the natural order of things.did you think they were gonna mourn ben forever and never do anymore music?? ac/dc lost bon scott and now sound awesome with brian johnson.enough said.
I think Greg and Jacknife Lee split the bass duties on this one, yeah. Greg also played Ben's bass for Touch and Go and I'm in Touch with Your World on their 2011 tour dates, I believe.
