Those F*ckers just sitting down on there asses in the front row just dont really know or have a clue how lucky they are to have been there! I cant imagine how awesome it must of been! The Cars Till the End!
They better be in the rock hall, or that place has zero credibility. And I'm a metalhead, saying that No doubt that they're a hall of fame band more so than any rap or hip hop act. Zero contest, hands down
I've seen a bunch of live Cars videos and I think Benjamin Orr must have had perfect pitch. I cant remember him even signing off pitch. Listen to this again and just try to find any imperfection in that vocal. The others were a bit off on the background vocals but not Benjamin.
Ben Orr and Ric Ocasek were absolutely amazing talents. It's so sad Ben died of a painful disease like pancreatic cancer at 53 years of age, what a loss to the music world.
Wow! The syncopation in this performance is great. Easton's entrances and exits are featured along with The Cars band mates imploring him, and everyone else - "Don't cha stop!" It's seriously humorous to realize that it's all a series of starts and stops, and they had that live-wired.
unbelievable how this is played live so well-can't imagine how hauntingly cool it was to hear this song played on MMR or YSP driving home up 309 on a hot humid summer night with the windows down so long ago
I'm 55 years old and have listened to and ❤ The Cars since grade 4. I had no idea there was another lead singer in the band. Ben Orr is beautiful. He's such a great singer. So talented. I'm falling in love with the band all over again!
Tight as the original on the album. These guys were so great together. They fed off each others Awesome talent.Way ahead of other bands of the late 70s, new wave rock.🙏♥🇺🇸🙏👍
