It was a car park for the hotel but I cannot remember if it was exclusively so. I don't think it was. We stayed there at the end and i don't recall having to give any registration details.

It is a nice quiet rural trail in a less well known part of the country

Why not ? I would say it is a good one for late Autumn or early Spring. You don't need long daylight hours as you can cover the miles fairly quickly.

The two we used were great. There is not a lot of choice. Would you be going from Blairgowrie back to Blairgowrie ?

I’ll have to use public transport, so I think, that I will need to hike back to Blairgowrie then? Is it difficult to find wildcamping spots because of private owned land or lack of nice, flat spots?

There is quite a bit through forestry and farmland when you are lower down. As with most places in Scotland, if you are discrete and pitch late and leave early you are unlikely to be asked to move on. I put the OS co-ordinates for the two sites we used in my description under the videos, but I am not sure how these would tie in with your agenda. Maybe the one we used above Glen Isla would work.
