You brought up an excellent point about God not being a polygamist. Since Protestants believe the believers are the body and bride of Christ then what’s stopping them from converting to each other’s Protestant denominations? If the assert that Protestantism is the truth and the body of Christ then an Evangelical should have no problem converting to Jehovah Witnesses and Jehovah Witnesses to Pentecostal Oneness and Pentecostal to Mormonism and Mormonism to Evangelical Zionism and so on and so forth. It wouldn’t make a difference because of their assertion that the body of Christ is a collective of believers except Catholics because to them we aren’t Christians. But the reality is that Protestantism although all denominations just mentioned and more all fall under the umbrella of Protestant, really are different wives since each has their own beliefs.
There are eight type of protestant denominations not all those preach the the same gospel. The Catholics are just another one with their own so-called gospel. The so-called CC try to invented it own Christian organisation with the council of Nicaea. Constantine attempted by invited over 1800 bishops and about five of their disciple to create the first world denominations. Only about 300 hundred turnup with their five disciple. So even then everybody was not in agreement with this ecumenical council to unite Christianity under one flag. RCC throughout their existence has attempted to force-feed those that didn't agree with that council new dogma.
What scripture can you point out where the Catholic Church was the one that can be traced back? What about the Ethiopian church with dates back further than Catholic. Were they Catholic also?
The Church that Jesus established needs some attributes, traits, characteristics, theologians say "marks." Marks of Church established by Jesus should be THEORY 1/4: ONE (in truth, faith), 2/4: HOLY (in goodness, hope), 3/4: WORLDWIDE, UNIVERSAL, CATOLIKOS (in beauty, love), PRACTICE 4/4: APOSTOLIC (historically founded by Jesus through Apostles).
So in Old Testament and New Testament theres scripture about priest. Is the Catholic Church different from that priesthood? Which mean the the church at Pentecost may be different than the CC? I’m not trying to argue. I hope it doesn’t come across that way. I’m just trying to understand. Thank you for your time.
How can you read from a document which is the catechism and claim that it’s the gospel? Isn’t the Holy scripture enough to teach from? I assume you are only teaching Catholics by only teaching from documents and books and not the true God breathed word. It’s just interesting to know you come from your background and now seem to not even refer to the Holy scripture at all.
Thanks for the comment. I don't claim that the Catechism is the gospel. I claim that the Jesus established a Church, promised it would endure to the end of the age, gave that Church teaching and governing authority, and that Church is the Catholic Church, and that part of the gospel is that Jesus saves us as part of His Body, the Church, not just as individuals who get to choose our own way. The Bible does not teach itself, and the Bible itself is a product of the Sacred Tradition preserved in and by the Catholic Church. Also, I just launched this channel like two months ago so I haven't exactly had a chance yet to say everything I wish to say. All the same, I have numerous videos in which I explore the Scriptures on a number of topics. I appreciate your feedback and I hope you'll keep watching. God bless.
I look at the Catechism of the Catholic Church this way, Jesus handed on a deposit of faith to the Apostles who handed it on to their successors to be protected and accurately taught until he comes again. The CCC is the Church, attempting to write down a portion of that deposit of faith to make Gods Word more understandable to the average Catholic Christian and Christians in general.
So I feel by saying “ the Bible doesn’t teach itself” you’re saying Gods word is not alive and active. Or even that the Holy Spirits work in teaching is not valid.
Your wonderful wife sent me your testimony on Instagram and I watched it and absolutely loved it! What a powerful testimony! Excited about your channel! Your new follower, Ellie
