Excellent perspective...

The Church needs to stand up and call this woke crap what it is.

Hoping forward for more lectures about the bonum honestum, bonum utile and bonum delectabile as a Catholic Response to the challenge of Gender Ideology.

I very much like the focus on universal human dignity and imho that makes this video a bit better than some of the others in the series. I also agreedabout the dangers of utopianism but utopianism is certainly not unique to progressivism as you have characterised it in these videos (there are of course many many historical examples of dangerous utopianism). I also agree with other commentators who point out the context issues in relation to 'All Lives Matter'. If someone responded with that phrase when I discussed examples of perspecution of Christians in the recent Aid Church in Need report for example, I would not be too impressed, I would assume they did not really care about the issue and I can understand how campaigners concerned about violence against black people would have a similar response. I hope the last video in the series has more details on the positives of the Catholic alternative and involves less criticism. Thanks.

7:07 Rejecting special identarian knowledge - worth repeating That said, the curated experiences of individuals and groups (interviewed, case study, participant observation, survey) which are unique to the person and/or group can help us understand the meaning of their experiences - of which, other people (dominate groups) do not have. Hence, the "identarian knowledge" in this respect does not equate to the exclusion of others since they may or may not have similar experiences, but rather, it is to underscore that someone (outside of the individual or said group) cannot interpret the meaning of the experience as it is (re)constructed. I think there is paradigmatic tension that should be appreciated here.

The Church may believe the best way to protect minorities from radical majorities is to hold fast to the belief in equal human dignity but what's happening today isn't a radical majority acting tyrannical. It is the opposite. Wokeism, progressivism, whatever ism. they are using is a case of tyranny of the minority. A transgender activist and a lobbyist for outfits like GLAD has more sway and more power than a member of the clergy or any other person promoting traditional values based on objective truth, even though most people respect those traditions and acknowledge the truth. There are too many slippery slopes to list here but people who just wanted to be left alone caused this to happen when we allowed them to be slipped. We failed to speak up and draw simple rules, boundaries, and limitations as to what was acceptable within civil society and what wasn't. The live and let live submissive responses emboldened the enemies of virtue and the Word of God at every step and now that the horse has escaped the barn we aren't getting it back in. I agree with the thoughts put forth here but what about the tactical end of it? How is the Church, or any group based on traditional values and objective going to reach out to young people who have been taught values and objective truth are wicked? They have been taught that critical thinking is a tool for the white patriarchy to hold them down. The patriarchy has replaced the super-structure in the cult of cultural Marxism and the kids have bought into it because they have been bathing in it since they first stepped foot in a classroom. Look at the decline in church membership of all denominations in the west. The Church abandoned its flock in a twisted attempt to keep it. Churches kept silent when they should have been speaking out and evangelizing instead of worrying about offending people and pushing them away. Gen-Z as they are called are going to the ones to ignite whatever revolution is percolating below the surface. They have been told they are the vanguard of the great reset and young people like nothing better than rallying to a cause and feeling like they belong to something greater than themselves. Wanna win them back? Start by understanding you are not competing with an ideology, you are competing with a religious movement, a movement with greater fervor and momentum than Christianity at this time within western culture. Look around at how Christians who speak up and take a stand in places like Canada and Great Britain get handled. Take it in because it's coming soon to a principality near you. CBS aired an open act of Satanic worship and took pride in it. The event was sponsored by Pfizer by the way and everyone in attendance that night stood up and cheered wildly. If you think that is just harmless hijinks, it happened at the Grammy's and those people cheering on the demonic ritual have a whole lot more sway over the youth than priests and pastors these days. This is spiritual warfare, whether we want to admit it or not, and unless we all accept that the 2030s are going to be a dark decade indeed. Words are good, but they aren't enough, not against this enemy.
