This is why I love 1920s music, it just makes you wanna get up and dance

Absolutely . Better then the crap that is ''played'' today. Just a horrible hideous of noise

"The Charleston" is the name of it, which was composed by James P. Johnson. He actually wrote more "Charlestons" and must have been amused when one of them became the theme song for an entire decade, guaranteeing him royalty payments for years to come. A little less confused now?

THEY ARE DYNAMIC. I WISH I COULD LIVE LONG ENOUGH TO HEAR ADAM PLAY IN PERSON.

Amazing. For some reason I love the 1920's song, the songs in that time were very energetic and happy and also they did it man made like with there imagination, but in todays life they just use robots to make music that are not really good ._. but any way If you love the 1900's & 1800's time period tell me ;)

The versions of the Charelston I hear, in this video are captured from Old Piano Roll versions. I love how a piano player can replicate what he or she hears into realtime music.. This shows true talent... Adam, has a great ear to capture this.. And Tom! Well, he is just great overall.. Thanks for posting this... I tune and Fix Old players, this is such a treat to hear! Guy

I wish I had that skill, and yet I have to wonder. How many times does an amateur get to play for other people? Unless you go to an old folks home, play in a church, or throw lavish dinner parties, how often does an amateur get to play for other people?

caroline matzen Caroline, I'd suggest that you try using fine sandpaper on your fingers. After a while they'll be real smooth, but if you aren't careful they'll be sore for a while. All the better for cracking the combination locks on safes and not leaving any finger prints.

All this hard work and artistic endeavor must really cut into your TV and movie watching, sports watching, clubbing, partying, video games, and snapchatting. You guys really need to get your priorities straight.

@tdub1941 Tom, they're referring to the video I shot in August 2008 of their first attempt at this. It's in the Related Videos list. Last weekend, I captured Adam and Tom doing this tune on two pianos, so a further evolution of their playing around with this song. Haven't posted it yet though...

@aldaale1995 Well, dude, There may be "tons of versions," but when someone asks for the "name of a song" it is universally recognized by all people in possession of at least minimal intelligence that it is the title of the song being requested, not a "version." RagJazzMonkey Tom
