Hey Leigh nice video about last of the summer wine Christmas specials and I like all but my favourite is whoops so funny all the way through and sweet ending whoops outside Sids Cafe then choir starts after
The choral rendition of the _Summer Wine_ theme at the end of ‘Whoops’ (Season 5, Episode 9), is sublimely beautiful. That might be how I’ll always remember Foggy, Compo and Cleggy, exclaiming ‘Whoops!’ by way of a novel substation for ‘Geronimo!’ as the old friends laugh together and walk away into the Christmas Eve night 🌲🍷
Well said, Edward! I think it was inspired to have the Holmfirth Choral Society sing with the theme tune for the first time. It really rounded off the episode and gave it a warm, Christmassy ending!
THANKYOU Leigh for an early, but much appreciated Christmas present with a journey back to much missed and classic TV viewing, thanks again, and wishing you a merry Christmas and a happy new year.🤗👍🪅🎁🎊🎉🎠
Oh Leigh, another outstanding episode 👏👏👏👏👏👏one is so jealous to see you in that snow, where one lives is does nae snow at all, not even in thy middle of deepest darkest winter, ones favourite Xmas episode is all mod conned 😁😁, cheers all summer winos from a stinking hot and barmy summers ebening here in new🥝🥝🥝zealand 🍺🍺🍺🍺, oh and cmon arsenal 🥳🥳🥳🥳
The fingers-crossed for a new Summer Wine Decanted episode worked! Either that, or Christmas has come early this year! I knew I was in for a treat when I clicked on this video, and I wasn’t disappointed. Thank you!
@@upstagedbyadog I can’t promise after this past month of finger-crossing that I’ll be able to do so again other than metaphorically, but I certainly will try!🎄
What a wonderful Christmas treat ! Thank You Sir ! ! ! Like the cherished show, you bring happiness and good memories to us all. Merry Christmas to you from Diamondhead Mississippi (Northern Gulf of Mexico).
Hey Leigh when watch the Christmas specials nice to see they have nice Christmas trees for the house studios nice Christmas trees for house studios that’s nice
@@upstagedbyadog Haha! Like a parent trying to choose a favourite child! 😆 I admit they're all great, even the ones not directly set at Christmas or deal with Christmas 6 months early.
Ooh my goodness, that was Superbly done. I'm still cracking up. Oh how I remember those episodes. God bless you. You brought bubbly laughter to my day. What characters they were. I do wish you a very merry Christmas my good Sir. I thoroughly enjoyed that. 😅😅😅❤❤
@@MalcolmClarke25 Hi Malcolm, I'm fine thanks. I have written scripts for a 9-video series and 3 other individual videos. I have a lot of ideas, too! might be starting filming next week.
It wouldn't be a complete Christmas without an episode about LOTSW Christmas shows! We all "met" Auntie Wainwright on a Christmas episode, lol. Chuffer's wife in the "Whoops" episode looks a lot like Margaret Thatcher to me.
Ironically enough, some of the props in her shop looked like decent antiques (or knick-knacks) worth buying. But there's very little humor in selling someone a nice vase, as compared to selling (to Truly) a broken lawnmower! And Truly didn't even have a lawn!
Hi Leigh i watched Merry Christmas Father Christmas while Marina outside Sids Cafe I always said to myself that lady looks like Glenda walking pass Wow Leigh she Glenda played a different part
Great series of vids about LOTSW, just a pity they are not on one of the streaming services to rewatch. Strangely I did find some on UKTV , the American version but not on UKTV Australia , I do have 3 series on DVD but to buy the lot is very costly, it would be great to see the series again, sadly the ones on RU-vid are unwatchable due to copyright. Cheers from down under . 👍👍👍👍
Hi "DrGuy", pleased you enjoyed the videos. It's a pity Summer Wine is not available in Australia now, perhaps you need to pester your local broadcaster. I'm sure the series is relatively cheap for them to licence, and there must be a big audience there for them!
@@peterclark9677 It was annoying doing a three-point turn on a narrow, snow covered road, with a steep drop on one side! It was a long day, but in retrospect, it was fun - sort of!
As it was not really a "Summer Wine" episode, it didn't get released with any of the other Summer Wine videos. Back then, no one realised that people in the future would be interested in seeing anything like it again.
Hey Leigh when watched what’s Santa bought for Nora Clegg door knocks he said I wonder who that could be he said the same line in Wallace and Gromit the wrong trousers in 1993 3 years after that’s clever
