probably because they realized their own relationships and sanity wasn't worth pleasing the masses...they had something special. i say we should just be happy that we got to witness their musical magic for as long as we did.
@@siglkendon Doubtful. They could barely look at each other in their last concert, Joy looked absolutely broken, John Paul colder than ever. Then they immediately cancelled their sold out shows. Why would Joy plan a tour with the Civil Wars if she wanted to leave or change it? Why cancel the tour instead of just finishing it, finishing the CW properly, saying goodbye to the fans and making money nonetheless?? They don't even talk. Clearly other things happened and we might never know what.
@@iamsultana after seeing the way the were with one another and the chemistry..I suspect the civil war was with the relationship they had, that that shouldn't have had. Whether I think they stepped out on their marriages, idk and it doesn't really involve anyone else. But clearly they had a deeper relationship than just band mates. 🤷
I had me a girl Who taught me those things A young man should know Down, down on my knees I’d beg and I’d plead To learn a little bit more Oh that woman taught me to pray I saw Heaven every day Lord, she could Oooooooo Ooooooohhhhohhhh Ooooooo Ooooohhhhhhhhhh I had me a boy Who buttoned me down Drew me a line He, he washed me as clean As a sinner could be Showed me the light Oh that boy, he taught me to pray But for all of his spit-shinin’ ways Lord, he could Oooooooo Ooooooohhhhohhhh Ooooooo Ooooohhhhhhhhhh I had me a girl Like cigarette smoke She came and she went I slipped through his hands To my back door man Under his chin Oh that woman taught me to pray But for all her wandering ways She could Oooooooo Ooooooohhhhohhhh Ooooooo Ooooohhhhhhhhhh
lucky me. I didn't need a show to come back here. I did it voluntarily, thanks to nostalgia when I should be finished a powerpoint for a presentation in class tomorrow
+Hnf F My daughter turned me on to them. Bought a new iPod and I had her set it up for me, and she was kind enough to add some of her music. We both have VERY similar tastes in music. She told me that they've split up! BIG BUMMER!! We both listen to ALL different types of music so it worked out GREAT!! Have a nice night Hnf! Tony
well...obviously...you do...you...umm....commented....I'm just saying that most modern artists who claim to be "inspired" by previous artists are really simply stealing, and the current generation doesn't even recognize it....so to answer your question, I guess I care
+HollowMatt did u really listened to both songs? they are not the same, is not stealing. They may sound alike but it is because is the genre, if they are inspired by the Beatles well of course It'll sound similar, I've seen this in other bands and they are not stealing someone else's style, they are just inspired on it. Damn I think I'm being clear in what I want to say
