I remember watching this game with my dad as if it were literally yesterday. I was a little more than 10½ years old & in the first semester of my 4th grade year of elementary school when this game took place... Time flies.
Big difference between Domterrell saying they’re relevant vs super bowl bound. Also, I think that he was referring to your comment about Baker snapping both of his ankles on the first play. Pretty douchey statement.
Memyself Here “i dont hate anyone but i hope the entire browns team breaks their spine and can never play again because i hate any positivity coming from a fanbase that deserves some”
I don’t know if you can get permission from the NFL, but you guys should post the full game of the ‘99 Hall of Fame game. I had a lot of feelings that night, and I’m having similar feelings this year.
Anybody remember that countdown clock (to the 1999 home game) at Tower City near the food court & snake fountains? They should've replaced it with a clock showing how much time has passed since they won the national championship in '64! Right now we're almost at 19973 days since they've last won a national championship.
I was pumped that night like everyone else and put money on the Browns to at least cover given the huge emotional return. Ahh... the final score was 38-0 Steelers and what a tremendous disappointment that game was to say the least.
@@afridgetoofar1818 Because I like having a team that brings back memories. The way, Art Modell went about the move was just wrong. However, the city didn’t have money when he took control of the stadium, which is why I fault it, too. Also, Mike White was extremely naive and reactive about it! I blame him, too. George Forbes didn’t understand how to help Modell out of debt and agreed to build the science center and rock and roll HOF before the football stadium. Which is why I blame municipal officials to a lesser extent. Anyone who doesn’t is wrong. By the way, Al Lerner helped take the Browns out of Cleveland. Then, he and the so-called “White Knight” mayor named Mike got really close! Those two idiots are also responsible for the move! So, Art may have lost his chance at the HOF, but there were other culprits.
who did the browns play in that openning game and I wonder how that game turn out? 🤔With all that fervor in the crowd, they must have blown out whoever they played that night... PIT:43 CLE:0 👀👀👀
