I get that! It's such a great, understated piece. It reminds me of the days when TV show themes were truly crafted, and as big a part of the presentation, as the show itself. Like Taxi, for instance. Instantly memorable, and a stand alone classic in its own right. This tune for the end credits..it has that same feel for me..beautifully played, great feel, and perfect guitar tone. Wish it was longer.👍
@@shanejb2121 There was also The Rockford Files, Magnum, PI, Hill Street Blues, St. Elsewhere, Ironside, Mannix, The Jeffersons, Sanford and Son, Good Times, Night Court, Family Ties, The Cosby Show, The Equalizer, Mission: Impossible, 7th Heaven, Hawaii Five O, Frasier, Monk etc. So many iconic and memorable themes like Taxi and The Closer that we don't get anymore. These two second title cards we get now with generic music is so lazy and creatively bankrupt that it really shows how downhill television has gone.
I love this music from James S Levine on The Closer end credit music... There is someone on RU-vid that was able to make a complete song by repeating the end music from The Closer. I hope I can find them again?
When I first watched The Closer (which was just last week) and heard the ending music I really thought it was the beginning of 'L'arbre Va Tomber'' by Francis Cabrel. Search for it on RU-vid and see if you do not agree.
@@brucedaar Uploaded the video here: www.bitchute.com/video/uq1posH0X9Nv/ RU-vid didn't want to have it, but this site will. It's only 15 minutes instead of 30, but I hope you like it.
Composer is James S. Levine, like Ron said. He has a soundcloud account with only one song from The Closer soundtrack: soundcloud.com/user-728705549/the-closer
It sounds like what they call “rockabilly.” Look up Chris Isaak’s 1990 song “Wicked Game,” which is also rockabilly, and there’s a definite instrument, passion and low tone similarity.
