The light fury is actually a subspecies of the night fury, and are capable of breeding with regular night furys to create a hybrid species, the night lights.
Kenta Nourse that’s a bad example. The better example is polar bears and grizzly bears. Where polar bears are subspecies of grizzlies. So they can mate. And creature fertile young that can breed as well without issue. Tiger lion hybrids can’t mate with other tiger lions.
@WillFanofMany I had to look in the comments to make sure someone corrected this. lol Honestly, it's starting to agitate me how little people read from Dean before the movie even aired. >.< There was a lot of info he gave.
A detail I really enjoy is that the reason Stoick gets so furious when Hiccup starts trying to befriend the monstrous nightmare in the first film is because Valka also insisted that there could be peace with dragons and in Stoicks eyes thats what got her killed.
In the hidden world, You see other lightfuries when toothless and the main lightfury are crowned as rulers. Therefore that proves that they aren't just female and there's likely male lightfuries too.
yeah im right here with you, i was scrolling through netflix the other day and saw race to the edge was trending and remembered how much i loved and still love this show
This franchise is honestly one of the best, and probably my favorite thing produced between Disney and Dreamworks. I’m amazed at how well they pulled off non-magical dragons. I don’t care if it’s a cartoon for 7 year olds. it’s the greatest thing ever and I love it.
people hear the title "how to train your dragon" and automatically think oh i watched that when i was like 7 its such a kids series but it really isn't its much more there's so many things to think about when you watch it when your older and there's just something special about it that no other series has in the slightest
The Light Fury isn't actually a female Night Fury, she's a completely different species from Toothless and it has been confirmed that Toothless is the last of his kind.
Although I get what you're saying, the Light Fury isn't exactly a completely different species from Toothless. She's a subspecies of Night Fury. If they were two separate species, then the Night Lights wouldn't be able to produce offspring, pretty much dooming Night/Light Furies regardless of the work that's been done to protect them for the past three movies and show. But yeah, Toothless is the last of his kind nonetheless, and that's still pretty depressing.
What’s really poetic about the franchise is that it started with Hiccup putting his hand on toothless 10:46 and ends with hiccups hand leaving toothless 22:00
i like how he said “finally” to when Hiccup makes Toothless a tail for him to fly on his own, even though The Gift of the Night Fury was never mentioned in any of this...
(PIN THIS) additional info: the dragon egg that hiccup saved from the alpha against Krogan was given to the defenders of the wing where Valka took the egg and that egg is the Alpha shown in HTTYD2
BryanKent actually we almost all know Valka took it but the defenders of the wing said they know someone who knows someone so that mean somebody took it then gave it to Valka,so the real mystery is who gave it to Valka . 🧐
Also no mention of the Defenders of the Wing and Wingmaidens becoming allies with Hiccup's dragon riders, despite the former being mentioned earlier in the video.
TheMoonRover they also made it sound like in the second movie, that Astride came and saved Hiccup and toothless from eret when it was Astride and stormfly that got shot down.
@@Gorpolon the movies are great... But they are nothing the same to the movie... I love both have to think only thing similar are a few points and same species
Yea, they're incredibly different, but both franchises are wonderful. Would like to see how the movies would've turned out if they stayed more close to the books.
A trilogy with tv shows that do it justice and that is able to wrap up the series in a perfect way There are few trilogies I consider perfect, Lord of the Ring, Back to the Future and Original Stars Wars, this sits with them at that table of perfect trilogies
This has been one of my favorite film franchises of all time and seeing it finally come to an end brings tears to my eyes I will never forget the amazing memories this series brought me
Well just finished watching the video, honestly gonna miss this show cause the hidden world is the last of httyd. What an amazing journey been watching the first movie since 2010 and it's 2019 what a way to end the year :)
I guess it might not be too important, but at the end of race to the edge the egg they got ended up going to valka, which is the bewilderbeast in the second movie I guess
What is really cool is that HTTYD was based off a book that references real Norse mythology on dragons and once-famous stories from long ago that actually gave names to the dragons like: Nótt Hieft (Night Fury), Slygja (Grockle), and hvíslaði dauðanum (Whispering Death)
Nobody: Some person, reading a book, at a noisy cafe: CF: “A group of settlers, arrive on the isle of Berk. A small cold island, just 12 days North, of Hopeless, and few degrees, of freezing to death. Those are real places by the way: They are my current position in life, and the bus stop outside of my house, in the middle of winter, respectively.”
Sad fact: Toothless is still and forever will be the last surviving member of the night fury species, due to light furys and night lights being different subspecies
While most likely true that Toothless is the last of his breed I personally doubt that's the case, but we'll never know for as long as there are no more new films being made continuing the story of Hiccup and Toothless (and there shouldn't be any more made given that they ended the series so nicely in my opinion). Toothless has to have parents somewhere and he may be a hybrid himself given that the two breeds are now known to mate with each other. But thinking about it odds are there are other Night furies somewhere in the world of httyd! They're just that rare they're next to impossible to find making them extremely elusive (much like a lot of our own critically endangered species in reality. Also no I'm not counting the duplicate models seen in httyd 3). This is only what I reckon and I am not familiar with the lore here say for the 3 films that I own on dvd. I'm well aware it could be canon that Toothless is the last of his breed.
I clicked this immediately. This is my favorite animated franchise of all time. I absolutely love it so much. The amazing storytelling and character development with all the cute and adorable characters was just so infectious. Like, we all wanted to meet Toothless in real life and just run over and give him a hug. ❤❤❤❤ Seriously though, I'm going to miss this franchise and it will never be forgotten. 😭😭😭😭😍😍😍❤😊😊
Ruffnut and tuffnut are the best characters and you forgot to mention the wingmaidens and the razorwhips and that tracker flass dragons are new and not a bork discovery
They were definitely my favorites, especially in rtte. Sure they had funny moments in like defenders of berk, but they turned that notch up in the next series. They still are to this day, but were kind of flanderized in the 3rd film though
Apparently, there was a restructuring of Bork's class system sometime after the peace with the dragons started. You are right, though, that Bork's system included a Fear class.
@@noobgamerthejokemaker276 It's because the reform of the class system got rid of the sharp class. Since the nadder has tracking abilities, it's now a tracker class.
I love the way dreamworks ended the series and i think a 4th movie would be dumb. The series ended perfectly and I love that they are not running the series into the ground.
honestly i think they should continue the RTTE series/ make another series about new adventures and more about toothless and hiccup (aswell as the relationship of astrid and hiccup as it was very wholesome)
Yessssss finally. I clicked the video so fast I accidentally broke the glass on my phone. I love these movies so much. Do a sequel involving the comics please
5:08-5:14 you got something wrong. He didn't meet Gobber during his childhood. If you remember during one of the tv-shows Stoick says that the very first words he ever spoke to Gobber was, ”thats my wife you're talking to”. Stoick's childhood friend was probably Alvin.
Yeah. And if I remembered correctly from defenders of berk, stoick and alvin being childhood friends ended when stoick became chief. It's been a long time since I looked into the lore of the shows but I think it goes something like that
They also forgot all the books... But the books are massive different. Books are great Movie is great But besides names and species almost nothing is the same. Well there is hiccups helmet from his mom from the first movie
@@TheSirCrown also, something that makes the ending even worse. (Not worse but emotional to watch) is the fact they used pretty much the same ending speech as the book
HTTYD was a very good film and TV show series that I enjoyed, the last movie that wrapped it all up made me so emotional, sad and happy all at the same time, I'll never forget HTTYD. It will always remain a favorite.
I kinda wished they took a little more care of the HTTYD universe story, it’s so cool, like I wish Heather and fish legs were together and at Berk, the DotW also helps them, mention of the Edge in the movies. I just wish it was a little bit clean up.
It was going to be cool but I don't think they deserve much. I love the franchise but I thought the third movie was the coolest of all, not for the story or outcome but for the development itself. I think the second that should have won the Oscar.
Actually, in RTTE, there is a episode where Berk celebrates their 400th anniversary. Given that it happens before HTTYD 2, and HTTYD was just 5 years prior, the founding of Berk had to be around 395-397 years BF. Just a pointer....
I personally still am mad at the creators for separating toothless and hiccup and having them live apart. I understand it’s supposed to be safer, but they have been through so much together and defeated hundreds of enemies, so I really don’t think they couldn’t have that time. It’s just super sad for no reason except content for like a reunion or something! 😭 Whyy would you do that? 😩😢😭
1: Dark deep not deep dark 2: fear not tracker, the inferior tracker was made by astrid during race to the edge 3: not female night fury slightly different species
Kinda left out "Gift of the Night Fury", Hiccup very early one made a prosthetic for Toothless to let him fly on his own when all the other dragons left during snoggletog. While Toothless leaves initially, he returns with a missing helmet and proceeds to smash his new prosthetic. Kinda like saying "I'd rather fly with you then fly at all". Pretty sure Astrid even mentions it in passing in HTTYD 3.
Bloodmoon Universe If you're specifically referring to full- two-hour movies, then yes, "HTTYD 3" is likely to be the last film. However, a 22 minute short film titled _How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming_ has been confirmed to be released this December. The events will likely take place not long before the epilogue of the final movie, showing a little more of Hiccup's and Astrid's adult lives. It isn't quite the same as a full- two-hour movie, but at least the adventure just isn't quite over yet...
As somebody who has read the original how to train your Dragon book series. The ending of the 3rd movie hit me hard. With the “there were dragons when I was a boy” if you’ve read the book series, you understand
So many points you left out. Like the prosthetic wing that doesnt need hiccup to be with toothless to fly, that happened in a snoggletog movie before this. And than valka actually ended up taking the alpha egg from bezerker island. And then stoick actually saved toothless in the first movie.
Such nostalgia 😃, i was 9 A 10 back then, can still remember how my parrents buchered the dutch version of the name, or how my brother became the incarnation of a skippy ball 😂 i miss the good old days...
The tracker class was created following the discovery of the Rumblehorn (Skullcrusher specifically) in Race to the Edge, originally it was the fear class, which comprised the Hideous Zippleback, the Snaptrapper, and the Flightmare dragons.
I cried watching the last movie since yeah its the last movie, i really loved the shows and the movies. It was all just amazing and im glad i was here when the show was made and stuff.
One day my teacher told us to do some reflection when i was 6 or 7 to this movie and that's was the first time i watch it and now im a big fan of HTTYD so thanks for my teacher back then :))))
You know, I always found it weird how dragons are reptiles who have bat wings. Dinosaurs most likely had feathers and modern birds are descendants of those ancient reptiles, but birds have bird wings, and bats are mammals and have bat wings. So it’s kinda weird that dragons are reptiles who have bat’s mammalian wings. So technically speaking would a dragon actually have bird wings?
