No, Toothless SPECIFICALLY is the most dangerous because he has the power of plot.

Not to forget that Toothless can disappear like a light fury but at a bigger scale, meaning he uses lightning power to turn invisible. This also damage dragons who are attacking him

Every dragon is somewhat based on a real life animal, toothless for example is based on house cats, no wonder he is op

What made toothless strong was also hiccup. A lot of the feats Toothless accomplished was because of Hiccup's intelligence and leadership skills. The thing which allowed Toothless to defeat the Red death, Screaming death, Skrill and other powerful dragons was always Hiccup's ability to know a dragon's weakness and use tools. Without Hiccup's help, toothless would of lost a lot of battles again many of the dragons on this list. In the very first few minutes Toothless lost against Hiccup losing a part of his tail after all.

Remember, Skrill alone was able to match Night Fury with best Rider ever, Night Fury is top 1 only because of Hicccup. If we consider normal Night Fury then many dragons will overpower it. Heck, Toothless was slave to Red Death as other dragons.

Did you know: speed stingers were apparently if given enough time they would have adapted to hunt in the day and also the speed stinger didnt just need ice bridges and glaciers they could run on water as we seen they travelled to go find the stinger the group took to heal they followed them and attacked.

Skrill can also use his lightning emiting ability to speed himself up, have probably the largest acceleration from all dragons, because is able to start so fast that is literaly disapearing.

I personally have to respectfully disagree and put the Screaming Death at number 1 as you said you can't really defeat it, and you forgot something on them, they have the thickest scales of any dragon as Toothless shot point blank and at only a few months old it shrugged every attack off like if Hiccup ever tried to punch his dad

Only 39?! I would be cool to see ones from the other medias as there are a bunch more dangerous and scary dragons! But hey, although I may not agree with all the rankings, I love this idea and you've done a great breakdown of the dragons power and abiilties!

Screaming death is a sub species of whispering death that is a albino and is a lot bigger. The one we saw in the series was still a baby. t would be a couple times bigger if mature! With size comparable to the bewilderbeast and all the abilities it is considered the stongest dragon and all who try to fight it will be doomed! Toothless attacks did nothing to him just annoyed him. He could hide with invisibility and stike him from distance but he would exhaust himself before doing any damege. The best he could do would be to bully him and cause him depression XD. The only way to kill it in it's mature form I can think of is to blowing it up from the inside, starving it to death or like droping a meteorite on it.

I would say the cavern crasher should be higher up. It only got overpowered when it lost its slime before that it easily took down the fireworm queen off screen and managed to hold it's own against all the dragon riders and their dragons with the help of its slime. It probably could have beaten any of them in a 1v1 with its slime.

I think you forgot about The Dragon Made of Bones!

The Night Furies are only number 1 because Toothless is of that species. If Toothless was a Gronkle, then you know Gronkles would've been at number 1. With that being said, if I were in the world of HTTYD, I'd want a Night Fury, Skrill or Screaming Death, even though the last one is completely untrainable, probably because of low intellect and high instincts.

While I may disagree with some of these rankings, especially with some of the descriptions you gave of some of them seeming better than ones above it, this a very well put together video.

I personally disagree with a large part of these rankings and can think of several species that were forgotten. But this was a great video idea

These r some other dragons I thought of as well as checked afterwards in my dragon books and in the httyd stuff online, fire terror, green death, eruptodon, snafflefang, thunder claw, snifflehunch, mudraker, timberjack, grimknasher, raincutter, wind striker, shovertooth, seashocker, submaripper, shellfire, sand wraith, bone napper, sand buster, forever wing, sword stealer and sand trapper

apparently every dragon is one of the most dangerous.

Toothless is as strong as he is because of hiccup but that doesn’t change the fact that he is the strongest. No other dragon would benefit that much from a rider because they are not as loyal and intelligent. Also remember he learnt the invisible thing without hiccup along with the going blue mode or whatever. Night furies have the possibility of becoming alphas with power and experience. (Also toothless and hiccup are the main characters so what did you expect)

You forgot the boneknapper, eruptodon, and night lights. Great video though Edit: also sea shocker and sandbuster

You also forgot, the Smothering Smokebreaths are also formidable because they need the metal they take for their nests.

The screaming death is stronger than The Bewilderbeast...? I dont really think so. Its ABSURDLY STRONG ofc. But the Screaming Death obeyed The Bewilderbeast from berserker island's call. It appeared with the rest of the dragons in a frame of the last episode of Race to the Edge

I agree with night fury being number 1. Its just that toothless is like a nerf version of its kind. He relies on hiccup and not that much aggressive. But a wild night fury will full aggression and fully knows it potential and power could make that screaming death its meal everytime it sees one.

Just an honest advice. If you make a list woth 39 and with still 30 left starting with terms like incredibly powerfull, deadliest or most dangerous and other superlatives you have the problem that the for the following part of the list (with os most of it) you cant really top that scaling. So you two dragons with much physical strength end up on the same even though one ist like 10 times as strong. You have to use these terms in a relativ view on the list. And besides that dont say all 39 when there are more dragons that are juat not on this list😂

There are way more than just 39 dragons

Toothless may individuallly be the strongest, but I’m not sure about the entire species itself compared to other alphas and the Red death, which is a literal force of nature. Even toothless has shown a lot of weaknesses throughout the series and can be over powered by any dragon in a similar size. A lot of his accomplishments wouldn’t be without hiccup.

This was a great video but I think that you left out some key dragons that may not be big in the movie but important to httyd fans

You also forgot that change wings can hypnotize and mind control other dragons. This ability worked against a dragon called the purple death in the comics. Which is basically a subspecies of the red death.

fun fact, the crimson goregutter shown in the third movie is actually a very young child. Fully grown crimson goregutters are way bigger, and can get all the way up to being half the size of a bewilderbeast

I'd say this is a very decent list👌. I personally would have put the monstrous nightmare higher (above the nadder or even higher). My top five would've been as followed: screaming death, skrill, bewilderbeast, red death and on the top the night fury. I have to mention: many in the comment section said that toothless was only so strong because of hiccup. And wile this is somewhat right he would'nt have had such strengh (and abilities) if it was'nt for him beeing a night fury. The screaming death is also a really op one. And many say that he's the strongest if he were an adult. But I don't think he could beat skrill, bewilderbeast and red death and toothless beat at least the last two. On top of that you have to consider the IQ and the ability to really think about what they are doing in the fight (wich is how he beat the red death). Fairly enough: this was hiccups idea but toothless still is much smarter about his actions than the other ones.
