I have a WRX 2021 premium. Thinking of getting Blizzak WS90s 225/50/R17 - will it fit? thanks inadvance. My summers currently came stock with 245/45/R17 sizing.

I accept your opinion, but the quality of your tires change drastically the car performance. And the brand does the difference. I don’t know you, but I bought my WRX exactly to track it. There is no point of buying sports car and save on tires. My opinion! My one for the winter is running Blizzaks 245/40/R18. Same size that it came from factory. The tire is noisy, the car feel not even close to the Continentals Extreme Contact those came on it, but I had previous experience with the Blizzaks and it works(lots of snow here in Ottawa) Thank you a lot for the video, there is always useful content!

@@RazzleFrazzle I thought about Pirelli Sottozero as well. You will never go wrong with Michelin Alpin. I took my choice with Blizzaks to be able to drive over deep snow. For the feeling on the steering wheel the Pirelli would be better, as well as your Michelin.

I don't disagree, there is just little difference until you start paying for engineered rubber with better ice transition temps, and engineered tread patterns, etc.

225 50 r17's for me since I live in NYC and the roads are absolutely abusive to wheels.

it'd be awesome if you can compare stock tires on WRX and how they stack against aftermarket ones. are they reliable? better performance? I have Dunlops 245/40/R18 on my WRX Limited and they are needed to be change soon. should I keep them or get something different?

Unless you are ripping around a tracking at 100+ mph, you won't notice. Just my two cents. Get a good speed and mileage rating with a reputable brand, otherwise, get what is cheapest.

Yeah that are pretty good I really like them…I find the car handles way better and at high speed I still have control no vibration

You should be good. Standard is 245/40/18, so if you lower your 18s to 17s you can go higher on your tire to 45 series. 245 wide and standard ride height should be perfect.

38+ is where it full sit flush with the fender. Any lower and it will be poked.

Yeah I am +38mm, +22mm should be okay, potentially a little rub at full turn.

@@jmastersvlogg Depends on your set up. Most standard set ups with a 22 offset will result in a bit of poke, so your tire will be outside your fender and you will get rubbing at full lock or turning. Unless you go to a smaller wheel like an 8 inch instead of the 8.5 standard. If you know what your doing then you can play around with the numbers to get the look you want. But to be safe at 18" wheels with 8.5, 9, 9.5 inch wide go with +38 offset. From there your tires will determine if you rub or not. Best thing is to tell us what your wheel specs are and we give you advice on the tires to go on.

@@axeya366 I'm on stock suspension on a 21 Premium. I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on some new wheels and tires. I like the aggressive poke, but dont want to have to roll fenders. Would 18" x 9.5" +22 offset wheels with 265/35/R18 tires cause rubbing? If so, what should I change to get max poke but no extra work of fender rolling?
