My youngest son and I went there last October on a whim. I had found out exactly where it was located and on a whim I asked "Hey, you wanna go see The Conjuring house?" To which he excitedly replied "Yeah!" So, via GPS, we got there in about an hour and, with his permission, Mr. Willoughby gladly showed us around. He was a really nice guy, although he was a little bit drunk at the time, lol. Our experience there was a really good one. 👍

A lot of these houses are dilapidated, and they're not very safe for a film crew just like the house off river rd North Carolina used on Jezebel... the walls were picked apart the ceiling was falling apart and filming up stairs was very sketchy. The house that the mother lived in on good behavior was also in Currie North Carolina, and it was a dilapidated mess as well. They don't have air conditioning in those homes. And Bastard out of the Carolinas house in Whiteville North Carolina had a giant hole in the kitchen that was used to pile up with feces and garbage, but it was said they got paid $10,000 per month while we filmed there in the winter time pretending it was summer in the freezing cold snow. The locations departments have been the same for 30 years, and safety isn't one of their priorities
Yeah, they don’t respect the crews very often unfortunately. I’ve heard productions were sending crews into the abandoned electrical plant in New Orleans for years while knowing about asbestos problems. That’s pretty disgusting about the kitchen hole 🤮
