Fun fact: The original Smashboards post where Scar essentially stakes his claim on the Scar jump has Scar saying something along the lines of "It's only the Scar jump if it's on Yoshi's Story" because of the technique to perform the wall jump is a bit different since the Wall of Yoshi's Story is a bit recessed from the ledge.
Man I've practiced wall jump mechanics for so many hours and I didn't know you can cancel your ledge grab Idle with the c stick. Now I get why my drift is so bad when scar jumping
There's also two different types of ledge falls, if you press c stick (or gray stick) left or right away from ledge, you'll drop with no fast fall. If you press either stick down you get a fast fall off ledge. Both useful for different things
Idk the technical info, but I def have always used away from ledge ont be C stick to detach from the ledge instead of the movement stick to get quicker Scar jumps
I'll let the idea of Marth with a better recovery slide once this time, but please please do not speak of this further. (for real though it would be a cool mod to play for sure) EDIT: except for puff or any character with a great recovery lol...that would be bad
