Wow wow wow !!!!! You just made me feel so informed of my current situation with high copper and low low energy!! I suffer from fibromyalgia… I’m so so thankful I came across your video ! I had lost over 80 lbs .. now I’ve gained back 25 and I’m so struggling
Such valuable information!! I wish medical professionals would incorporate this type of information into every health assessment and treatment, instead of pushing pharmaceuticals or the 'band-aid' treatments and not getting to the actual root of the true issue. Thank you for sharing with the common folk!🤓
Exactly. Copper can hang out outside the cells in unable to get in, appearing to be a toxicity but actually it cant get where it needs to go, hence deficiency
I was taking less copper because of error in measuring, I thought copper no longer work for me, yesterday I tried double the dosage and I can sense an immediate energy rush through my body, that's the reason why, my body was craving high dose copper all the time
Just FYI, for those following copper. Look up Morely Robbins on RU-vid. Only the most advanced tests help you determine if you are copper deficient, not the typical blood test. From my understanding, copper may appear excessive in the blood but may not be making it into the cells where it's needed. A few take aways for me: Copper is the door for iron to do its job. Copper is activated by natural vitamin A and C. However, store bought vitamin c, ascorbic acid, depletes copper. Glyphosate, round/up, deactivates copper. Ironically, most ascorbic acid is made with round up ready GMO corn. Low copper bio availability may trigger mold and fungus reactions. Copper may assist in lessening mast cell activation/allergic reactions. Morely likened the role of copper as a general in an army where as iron, for example, would be a foot soldier. Apparently copper does a lot. Morely noticed a few key studies on copper are not main steam information (i.e. he had to buy the books because it wasn't anywhere on the internet). FYI/DYR. No affiliation....
Dr. Aimie. Why would you say all these things that Anxious and Depressed people have.......and then NOT say what you did or CAN DO to get past the high copper? There are SO MANY Video's like this that explain the symptoms and yet NEVER give a way to rectify the situation.......even with a disclaimer........"This is what I did to get better.....blah blah blah....". People depressed look at this and say....."Yes......that is exactly what I am feeling and seeing.......but WHAT NOW?". WHAT NOW....Dr. Aimie?
mineral balancing with HMTA like tei or arl. fasting.... water fasting. and intermittent fasting and fasted training...to up detox pathways and up your androgens.
What about the blood tests which doesn’t show how much copper is in the cells? Can’t get any answers about this. One person said the hair analysis is the best way. Blood is not the best but usually shows it’s low. Drs don’t normally know or check about copper but it’s a devastating disorder. Most women and girls are on some kind of hormone replacement. Then later put on antidepressants or anti anxiety meds. Just the standard.
You can schedule a consultation with our Biology of Trauma professionals to know the right test for you www.traumahealingaccelerated.com/provider-directory/
Hair mineral anaylsis test is the best way to find out an accurate reading. However I'd recommend working with a practioner - there's a large body of work starting all the way back in the 60s by Dr Eck and another guy, (I forget his name). There's a guy called Dr Rick Malter who is in his 80s who learned off these guys and is continuing the research today. Another guy is Rick Fischer (he's the leading expert on copper toxicity currently)
What about deficiency in copper, what is its effect? Is wearing copper bracelet an effective way to get copper? Is wearing too many copper bracelets linked with excess copper?
It's more about the MTHFR gene variation, where almost half of us humans don't detox metals efficiently, and need to be more careful about what we expose ourselves to. We need regular supportive habits to keep up with excreting our own toxins....
This makes SO MUCH sense. I'm struggling with nearly everything you mentioned and my serum copper levels are off the charts high. My serum zinc is normal. But I'm starting a zinc supplementation anyway, and I'll look into copper chelation therapy.
@@Molly797wo Working on it, I'm taking zinc and also have migrated from the combined pill to the progestin only pill. I'll get tested again in September.
Do lots of research before starting chelation! Some people get worse to begin with. (I did)... I learned that l need to detox very slowly. Find a health practitioner who has had experience with the process. It's worth doing, but can be rough on relationships if you haven't been told what to expect.
if you have copper excess does that not mean you have low zinc becaue zinc and copper need eachother to be balanced so i would assume if someone is high in copper they should take zinc without copper for a while then test if the copper is going down. And once it's more balanced take zinc with copper because only taking zinc with depleat your copper to much....
@@Cedric_Harris I have some white spots on my nails and am trying a liquid zinc sulfate supplement. I have bad anxiety since 3 years and i feel like i am a bit calmer but i have just been using it for a few days and very low dose. So i have some experimenting to do. I hear blood test are not so reliable so i don't know if my copper is high or not. it's al about the balance of these 2 i guess. Like i said is copper 'toxicity'not just a zinc deficiency. I just wish there were clear tests we could do.
Not sure I’m understanding. A high copper toxicity test could indicate low absorption, not excess copper, right? I just recently heard it may be the cause of fibromyalgia? Does having the MTHFR gene (which means low absorption of Vit B) also mean I’m not utilizing copper well? Adding zinc helps my body use/absorb copper?
yes i would think so because copper and zinc need eachother if you are low in zinc you will be high in copper if you get enough copper but not zinc. So i woule think taking zinc without copper can balance it out and then you can take zinc and copper to keep it balanced.
I have dermatitis since child so I lack zinc. On the other side, they said copper is need when you have a chronical jaw disease like me. I will experiment to see any effect. Ringing in the ears scares me, I get 2 times a year for some years tinnitus, they said it´s for stress, but with TMJ (jaw disease) you are to 70% predestinated to tinnitus. I´m curious if it can be aliviated with higher copper. I have to take Ginkgo/tebolin then and it helps so slow, can´t sleep then with these acute noise
Is it copper excess or zinc deficiency? Last tested my serum copper was 107 and serum zinc was 67. I havent had this dealt with, but my understanding is that the copper to zinc ratio is too high. I would assume, though, that my zinc level should be higher. Not sure how to go about that.
@Dr. Aimie Apigian I don't need a lab test, I have insurance that covers my labs at the hospital. I really just want to know if my results indicate elevated copper, even though the value is within normal limits, because the cu/zn ratio is 1.6.
Dr. Aimie, I would love if you could help me with this. I could not find anybody to help me calculate the ratio. I saw your video and as well the interview with Irene Lyon and because I have big hope and admiration to both of you, i decided to test my level of copper and zinc. The problem is nobody knows to calculate the ratio.
My numbers are Copper 101 refference 80-155 ug/dl Zinc 123.93 refference 46-150 ug/dl I had and maybe still have post partum depression and a lot of the symptoms you mentions. I would so appreciate your help.
So awesome you got this tested! Fantastic! You can always get set up with my office hours or a private discovery call to go over your results. I'm hoping you are registered for the Biology of Trauma Summit and will be listening to Dr. William Walsh's interview talking about this? traumasolutionseries.byhealthmeans.com/?idev_id=31259 Hope to see you there!
Since you didn't get an actual response but a plug for her program, you should see a doctor in your area and try doing your research beforehand. A quick Google search revealed an ideal ratio of 8:1, but I'm not a doctor and don't know if this is correct.
everything has copper in so there's no deficiency there. The issue is peoples adrenals are not functioning which means no ceroplasmine emzyme function (the copper transport enzyme) people are toxic because the coppers not going to the right places its getting pushed into tissues, but also deficient at the same time
Excess copper comes from an ATP7B copper binding gene defect. It's not copper but unbound or free copper that causes the problem. The free copper test code at lab corp is 279071. A serum copper test is of no value, because it won't show the amount of toxic unbound copper. The serum copper consists of bound and unbound, and you need to know how much unbound is in the blood. Normal free copper should be 0-10 mcg/dl.
Hii, my serum cooper is at 175. Had a bronchitis allergic, then throat infection strep saliviarus, starting linezolid today. But the exhaustion... And high seru. Cooper. What to do to remove it from the body?
To lower copper you need to take 50 mg of zinc one hour before meals or 2 hours after (150mg per day). It will take 9-12 months to lower it to a non toxic level. It's not really copper but free or unbound copper you have to worry about. As long as your copper is safely bound to Ceruloplasmin proteins, it's harmless. You can have an elevated serum copper and as long as it's bound, it won't hurt you. The free copper blood test at lab corp is # 279071. Normal free copper should be 0-10 mg/dl.
I'm so confused. Im a male and am going gray pre-mature......I dont have the best appetite because I take alot of meds. But If I take a copper supplement it's going to make my anxiety and depression worse?? I need copper for my hair??
Yeah well try taking the supliments that fix it, I got way worse and kept getting wors to the point of suicidal thoughts even after months. It took 4 months to wear off after i stopped taking supliments.
Does anyone get a paradoxical reaction with zinc and found a solution? Tried all forms, anything over 10mg makes me feel like garbage for like 4 hrs. Its the last nutrient i need for a stack ive been researching for yrs, and is a cofactor for the iodine and d3 pathways ive built up so i know i need to make sure i have enough.
Zinc bisglyconate is best absorbed and more effective especially for men. Copper must be taken also in a ratio of around 2 mg Copper with approx 20 mg Zinc ....the Bisglyconate form of Zinc and Copper is advised 😊
