ABOUT JAY LENO'S GARAGE ON CNBC
Hosted by legendary comedian and “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno, the series explores our obsession with all things automotive. From classic cars to supercars and everything in-between, Jay is hitting the road to discover the most exciting, weird and wonderful vehicles ever made and meet the passionate people behind their wheels. Each one-hour themed episode features a mix of stunts, challenges, reviews, and celebrity interviews that showcases the colorful history of the automobile. Whether he’s exploring the story of an iconic brand, road-testing the newest super car, or investigating the latest automotive innovations, there is no wheel Jay won’t get behind to tell the story of our love affair with the car.
About Jay Leno: Acclaimed TV late night show host, admired stand-up comedian, best-selling children’s book author, much-in-demand corporate speaker, lovable TV and movie voice-over artist, pioneering car builder and mechanic, and philanthropist…it’s no wonder that Jay Leno is widely characterized as “the hardest working man in show business.”

As the son of immigrant parents and 1st gen American I really needed to express something. I clicked the video expecting some crazy suped up van like usual and I’m entirely surprised with what I was watching but more than any single thing, what I was hearing. What struck me first was hearing the mans accent and less than fluent English. In my life I’m so accustomed to hearing very similar accents and ability with English and it’s so normal for me. It’s everyday. But I realized very rarely are these kinds of people on any kind of media ever represented unless it’s some death story on the news or something. It’s so easy to connect with someone when you’re listening to their life story. I really wish more of our stories were out there and told like this by people like, Jay. We’re so accustomed to believing that immigrants are ruining the country and are overall a negative thing but in reality we are all immigrants and nobody came from anywhere but this planet. Cheers!

@seeburg10 3 года назад
Do the math. 2-1/2 million legal immigrants are arriving per year including work visas. In Miami-Dade County, Florida, White Americans are only about 3 percent of the population. Coming to your County soon. Of course you may enjoy that.
@zabnat

The people who believe immigrants are "ruining this country". Are always the most closed minded boring people i ever meet. I want more immigrants because they bring with them different perspectived and ways of living we can all learn from. The part i like the most about immigrants is the food and flavors i get to try. If the aforementioned people had their way the only flavors we would have would be salt, pepper and sugar. They can keep their bland diet and bland lives.

It gave him the right to work and provide a decent and honest living for himself and his family. I also love a lot that you not only show expensive and fancy cars, but also cars that are more valuable for what they do and represent for their owners. The truck in this show is very good example, and Mr. Pino abilities to fix the Frankenstein cars running in Cuba. This truck is his pride and tool very important for his business. Again thanks!

I dont comment much .But I gotta say I liked this one. I'm 2 end gen of my Italian family. My grandpa came here .he raised 6 kids in Chicago Ill . By sharping knifes and saws and fixing umbrellas. And all is well in our large family. I'm think that Mr.Pino will do very well also. thank for this video Mr. Leno. Cary on.

Hahah, this has put a smile on my face instantly. What a fresh variation from Jay inviting this guy and his passion. Him as a Cuban, I'm certain he knows how to work on classics profoundly, and how to fix issues. He obviously wants to keep the business small and manageable for himself; good him. Not to worry Jay, car restauration runs in the blood here by marriage. Most enjoy the passion of the men and their results very much. The kiddies have grown up with it. It is a true privilege.

Great video with a great story of a man that did it the right way. Legally. Came here, works hard and is proud. Very cool old van. I like the quirkiness of it. I also like the originality of it. Still has a few bugs to be worked out, but does the job it is meant for. Thank you for sharing with us and best of luck to Diosely and his wife in all of their ventures. Congratulations on the little one too.

The reason I love Jay Leno garage is the cars and people that Jay show cases in his show about wonderful cars. It was so humbling to see how this bright man from Cuba immigrated to our lovely country and has done well for himself and his family. Wonderful job with this show case Jay.

I thought it was a food van at first. Leno's Garage tip: Often the slower a vehicle is or the older it is, or the more obscure it is, the more fascinating it is. :)

My Dad drove one of those in Omaha for 33 years for Butternut Bread. He was a Teamster union man and Shop Steward. In 33 years he never missed a day of work. I also remember Going to buy a new Camaro in 68 My sister's husband was the manager of a Chevy dealer Satellite store. There were 50 brand new Camaros Z28, SS396 SS RS SS350. Every color combo you could imagine. My father was a simple man, he picked the cheapest one on the lot. He walked away from a deal for 47 cents a month. I was 17 and I knew that that car was going to be mine one day Although it was just a 6cy standard it was still a 68 Camaro which turned out to be the best year and 396s bolt right in.

One of the reasons I love Jay, is not because of the cars and motorcycles, but because of his love of people and country. America is what it is because of immigrants and their contribution. Jay is Italian and Scottish, I am Scottish, Canadian. We have made our countries better.
