The Cult Of XDefiant --- Stop Drinking The Kool Aid ---- 

My honest opinion as a level 82 player with a 3000~ rating score 1.8 KD so far. Typically in most games I average about 30-45 kills. I am 27 and have been playing FPS games for the better part of 2 decades and mostly on Mouse and Keyboard. Just like what most people are saying, the game is unbalanced. Yes it absolutely is, the snipers, the MP7/ACR every game. IT IS unbalanced. Does that mean that in the last 50+ hours I have played is it not fun? No it's extremely fun, or else I wouldn't play it. I have spent money on it, because I WANT to support it. I have watched the response to the community and that is why I will continue to support it. From the video I watched I did see somethings that were unfair and frustrating, but I did also see a lot of areas you could improve and thus enjoy the game more. Now, you certainly don't have to take my word for it, but even after the nerf to snipers and the bunny hopping, good players will still kill you in ways that seem unfair. Without SBMM you will experience a much broader field of talent, meaning some people will be demons, others will be average joes who play after their 9-5. And others will be new FPS players or bad FPS players. KD isn't the end all be all stat, but I did mention it before as most people that play XDefiant come from COD or other similar titles and that is a stat they care about. TLDR: Game has problems, develop your FPS skills (tracking, flicking, movement), and be patient. If you read all this I appreciate you for taking the time. You put in the time and effort to make the video, so I decided to put some time into a response. I am open to opinions or disagreement.

Nah bro you aren't crazy, the snipers are legitimately broken and hard to play against especially on maps with long pathways

Tbh it does need balancing . NEEDS balancing and it isn't game breaking .

The fact you can’t criticize this game or its community without everyone jumping down your throat really is cult like. You’re on point with this. Even the random matchmaking like you can’t say people are sweaty in this game without people saying you’re just bad. You can be on top of the leaderboard and see how people in your match are trying insanely hard it’s not rocket science. The point is to have fun and no skill based should be randomized fun. It isn’t random when you experience that every single match.

The snipers are getting patched Wednesday so they are supposed to be fixed then I also hope they do fix the fact I die around corners

You mentioned Halo Infinite, thanks, I forgot that existed. Scummy company wanted $20 just so you can make your spartan blue, then changing the hue just a fraction and charging $20 again for a new shade of blue. I know this is about xDefiant but as a long time Halo fan, just the mention of Infinite ticked me off.

I really like this game but i agree that its pretty broken in its current state, and i think that the 'cult' is also aware of this but they are trying to look past it because its apparently getting fixed soon.

Sure its not perfect which game, especially just after release, has no issues. Im defo not a fan boy because i can happily put this game down and not feel im missing out. But all i know is that i struggled to hold a 1.0 kdr in COD whereas im not sweating in Xd and hovering around 2.0 kdr. Less stress and less rage

Honestly loving the game haven’t played a shooter inna min ,but I 100% agree having to put a whole clip in someone sucks, the snipers are laser one hit kills, reloading could be faster…. And they need to fix the lag…. I hate running behind a wall and still getting shot

They’re working on it. It’s the preseason. If the issues persist when the first season launches I would agree with you. That being said the XD does have issues but fewer than cod.

Rushes headfirst into B flag, stands still, and engages a sniper that's camping the flag on a headglitch from long range with an AR, gets smoked, then complains about it. Serious question- what was *supposed* to happen in that engagement? What do people think snipers are for? Do people want sniper rifles to be completely unusable? People complain when they get killed by them long range, or when they get quickscoped from 2 feet away, yet the MP7 exists. This game has it's issues (like literally *every* game on release), but snipers are low on that totem pole (they do need a tad more flinch, IMO). It's going to be crazy when snipers get patched and people are still getting shit on, and they'll blame something else. I can't wait for Black Ops 6 to hear the complaints about snipers just like in every Call of Duty for the last 20 years. Having said that, they have a lot of work to do to maintain the playerbase. The best they can do is keep it solid enough to get back some of the CoD players that that will leave for BO6 once the honeymoon period for that game is over. The Cult of Xdefiant will mostly go back to being the cult of CoD, though.

Other than that you're not aiming towards the upper body/head and complaining that it takes forever to kill someone. This isn't cod and the game isn't gonna hold your hand you need to learn to straff and aim for the head.

4 headshots for a kill or 5 body shots for a kill. Or level up a weapon all the way for 3 shot body kills. Game is more annoying than cod and i dunno how the fuck thats possible

Netcode bad, snipers OP, some games my gun kills fast, and others I'm shooting hugs and rainbows. Still having fun though. My only other complaint is those damn spiders, it's like they know I have arachnophobia. I watched a my game back and I got hit by that shit 6 times in a match

I'd also add a restriction to how many people can pick a certain faction. If everyone on enemy team is echelon, it's rip for ours. Unless we are also all echelon. That's where it gets boring.

I had high hopes for Xdefiant but the more I play the more obvious the problems within the game is slapping you on the face . The weapons balancing is so off that snipers can run around with the confidence of Golgo 13 sniping away while it's takes a whole drum from the maxed out AA 12 up close to defeat 2 enemies barley 🥴🤦🏿‍♂️. the factions are unbalanced especially echelon when the game can jokingly make the cheater comment when they activate their wall hacks basically acknowledging their abilities are broken . Xdefiant say they isn't on shenanigans but if they don't fix the problems the game has them we have no choice but to think that this was done on purpose .the bad hit registration could be a excuse to hide the rigging that's why if Xdefiant t drag their feet on fixing hit registration that will turn players off if they feel like the gun battles are a mismatch

Honestly, as much as I want to maintain my hype for xdefiant, if it's not satisfactorily fixed at the start of season 1, I'll be uninstalling

You're right, snipers indeed are broken, but M4 isn't the best choice. I personally use LMG ( the last one ) it takes 3 hits to kill and really not much recoil. Give it a try

Snipers in my opinion take more skill simply because it’s very very unforgiving if miss your first shot. If you snipe aggressively and actually play the objective instead of sitting in a corner, that takes skill and even more so than the automatic guns If I were to change something it would be the flinching that they’re already working on adding back to the game Snipers should be one shot otherwise you shouldn’t have them inside of your game. There's obvious problems with the game, the hit registration is insane, weapon balance. I don't mind the abilities, btw learned my lesson in COD and won't buy crap!!!!!

Overwatch is a completely different situation. I paid for OW 1 got that taken from me only to be replaced by OW 2. So yeah, being mad about that seems legit. Xdefiant was f2p to begin with. Um. Maybe its because I don't look at social media or Reddit or anything. But I don't know a single person saying xdefiant has no flaws. I haven't heard of this "cult" you speak of. Everyone knows this game has massive issues. Everyone know the netcode is inexcusably bad, snipers need some old dam flinch, etc. As for the micro transactions, I don't like it and it is what it is. If the game is to remain free to play then its kinda a necessary evil, unfortunately, otherwise the game would of been shutdown yesterday. You really do have to just ignore it, and the moment any pay to win happens, then that's when its time to say goodbye and move on. ANYWAYS, point is, anyone who defends and says theirs nothing wrong with xDefiant (which I'm sure is a loud minority of people), They are clearly just brain dead idiots. Xdefiant is honestly in a good state. There's things that will not be perfect as the devs even said and hit detection is one of those things. They're already releasing an update for snipers getting flinch. As for this whole cult feel around xdefiant is simply people who dont agree with you and personally i dont agree with that take of having a cult around the game. Also where's the proof that there's been multiple betas??? The server test was not that long ago which btw is not a beta its a server test and the only beta we had was last year. I wanna point something out that you said now. You said the game is mid before saying its good. Which one is it lol and cod started out way worse in terms of micro transactions you remember loot boxes???

To be fair, yes there are a lot of issues with the game and it aint perfect BUT with level 14, 14 matches played, only ranting about the "cult" 10 minutes straight while in the background is gameplay where you hit maybe every third shot and then cry "the TTK is way to long" is ridiculous. Ranting about the cosmetic shop in a f2p game is basicly just stupid, how should they make money then? I played Cod since the Original MW and Never saw a CoD developer asking or interacting with the Community about changes or feedback but hey Ubisoft dont care about us because the do it and listen.
