Hey I was there too last night in San Diego. What an incredible performance! I went along with my husband because he loves this band. Now I'm a new fan. I can't remember a better concert. I think this song was my husband's favorite because of the "nice long lead-in instrumental". After this song he said, "OK... I'm happy!"

And just when it feels like the end is near Robert pulls you deeper to let ya feel the 'Cold', the 'Plainsong' within. 'Trust' he says, you feel like 'All Cats Are Grey'. You just need a friendly 'Push' to see yourself and feel 'The Same Deep Water'. Then dancing 'Inbetween the Days' you'll move to your 'Friday'. Days of freedom, 'You're In Love'. A 100% emotion
Porl has a very distinctive sound for this song, his guitar playing really comes out on any cure song. Our prayers have been answered...PORL IS BACK!!!

i cant believe how lucky i was to see the cure (along with 65 days of static) at my first concert where they played close to three hours, last october at download festival. i hope to see them again in may!
@greyag I completely agree that it's the best the cure album :) This song fits to desintgration taking into account that comes from the head on the door....
The Cure is great, no doubt! If you want to hear one of the best Cure covers, visit Failures Art on Myspace. It's the last track on their playlist - it's called Same Deep Water. It is excellent. Failures Art's original songs, of course, are excellent too.
About the drummer issue? All the yays say, Williams? We were Cure when he was the drummer. All the yays say, Jason, He is part of the Cure for more than 10 years now, and fine... Cure is Cure... Cure is also about remembering what has passed (i think it's even a saying of robert smith ;-) ) regards,

From your reply, I take it you weren't around when goth was born, in 1977, like I was, as I was (and still am) a goth myself. Goth is what is also labeled darkwave. By goth, I don't mean new generations who need an excuse to disrespect parents and system, I mean what was born from punk, and had a great taste for dark poetry and the supernatural. I do believe The Cure fit the label, although it is a little tight on them, as they are this and a mixture of other things too, at the same time.
psyhodelia? Don't you mean Psychedelic?.. as in, Zeppelin sometimes was? Well honey, I got news for you. The Cure is definitely goth. actually, The Cure is THE Gothic rock band. The Cure is definitely new wave, but.. I was born in the early eighties, I grew up listening to music like this, and trust me, The Cure is definitely Goth. Saw them live for the 8th time last month, and they still.. kick ass.
