We talk about this a lot, but could you imagine how much more we would talk about this if Perry never won that cup in 07? It would be nonstop memes and tears.
It's disappointing seeing the Oilers lose .But prrtty cool to see Florida win their first. My first thought after game 7 tho was Corey losing his fourth final. It's just very unfortunate. Both have a cities have a special team and a great group of men and played one heck of a series....what a season. 💙🧡/❤💛
2024: Final (Game 7) 2023: Round 1 2022: Final 2021: Final 2020: Final 2019: DNQ 2018: Round 1 2017: Conference Final 2016: Round 1 (Game 7) 2015: Conference Final (Game 7) 2014: Round 2 (Game 7) A lot of Heartbreak
Losing to the LEAFS in 2023 in the first round, something no team nor player had experienced in 20 YEARS, must have been horrible, shameful... That Tampa team really screwed big time man. It's such an important tradition: when Tor loses the first round as is customary, it's the sign of serious playoff hockey starting off. The moment legends are allowed to be born. It's an important duty for the chosen team each year.
I'm a duck fan living in edmonto. Oilers my 2nd favorite team such a let down this year for oilers fan we really thought we had that comeback in the bag
Corey Perry wasn't a curse for the oilers. Florida just stood there ground the exact same way in the first 3 games to finish the oilers off in game 7. To say he is a curse is to say every player on a team to make it to the finals without winning is a curse. The cup isn't easy to win. To rely on saying it's a curse for one player to be on a team is the same thing as believing crystals heal.
you should respect people who believe crystals heal just as you respect those who believe god heals or the virgin mary heals or a cross protects. no need to knock others beliefs just to try and prove a point.
Right? A lot of retired guys who had great careers that never even made it there would kill to have had the amount of cup experience that Perry’s had, and exactly at least he still has one ring. He also didn’t have to wait forever for that ring too, like Ovechkin did. he won it pretty early lol.
Yea it’s not as bad as someone like Pavel Bure who was just cursed with bad luck the most talented player to never win a cup imo. Hell the Canucks have gotta be cursed despite having all of these talented players they never won the cup.
@@walmartian422 well the thing is there are so many other teams competing for it the odds of winning it. Think about it, threre are 15 other teams that compete for it once the playoffs come into fruition
Boo hoo he called out bedard and he cried and u cried just keep crying about it. He didn’t do shit and you completely demonize a guy when you don’t know anything but here say
On the otherside imagine if Oilers won... biggest comeback in history the torment's over literally best cup ever (not that im an oilers fan but just in excitement) and it wouldve been a beatiful story to end Perry's career I don't think he would have resigned if he got the cup
As a Oilers fan, I used to loath Corey Perry but now that he is on our team, I do not blame him whatsoever for the loss or believe in a curse. I do believe playing in Florida in June had more of a factor in Game 7 then anything. Terrible ice.
@@joeydrummer7929 ok bandwagon fan. Lets see where your LOYALTY WILL BE when the Knights eventually have to rebuild. You are the dumbest "fans" of them all and NO ONE in the NHL has any respect for you because you were handed a winning team from the start. Oh but VGK is king.... yeah ok. It will be a mediocre team for most of its existence guaranteed as no one in Vegas really likes Hockey as they only love a spectacle. .
@@joeydrummer7929 I wonder what Florida fans would have said if the Oilers actually did beat them? Probably "The nhl gifted it to McDavid" so get off your high horse there and get on some level ground friend.
@@classic.cameras oh don’t get me wrong. Every single fan base makes excuses when their team loses . But Oilers fans are on ANOTHER LEVEL when it comes to excuses . The laughable conspiracy theories that Bettman somehow conspires to make sure Canadian teams don’t win cups whenever Oilers lose an important game/series LOL. I hear excuses from other fanbases , including my own, but can’t say I’ve seen them come up with entire conspiracies 😂🤦🏻♂️. I would’ve honestly probably rooted for Edmonton with my team out this year. The players , minus Kane and Perry somewhat , are ultimately pretty likeable . But the Oilers fanbase is so insufferable I just couldn’t do it. That’s what I’m getting at .
As an Oilers fan I never liked Perry But he was not a factor in the loss to Florida - he’s just one guy and over 7 games the better team won … awful loss that it was, it was a loss Least he’s got one ring and you never know next year as he’s been signed for another year with the Oilers Few pieces and you never know
Eichel is just a guy who remained loyal to an atrocious team for years, then finally decided to leave to a contender and got a cup right away of course lol
I read he also got some insane experimental spine surgery where they replaced a destroyed disk in his neck a year or 2 before he won the cup with the knights.
Is that REALLY a curse??? Put him back on Montreal please, lol, last time he was there, he even took our sorry team to the playoffs, and cup finals, well he didnt take us, Carey Price did, but he was there, and did contribute.
Yet McDavid went scoreless in Game 7, so it was more then Corey Perry losing this Stanley Cup. McScoreless is even worse since you Oilers fans keep calling him the best player on earth, he’s obviously not because if he was he would have contributed more. He certainly had the chance to.
I believe Heather most hated hockey player in the NHL if not one of the top 5 and unfortunately he's canadain i believe only Canada's prime Minister is the most hated canadain in the world and thats saying alot I think thank God my favorite nhl team didn't sign or id have to cheering and supporting him obviously the oilers still a desperate team to try and be a good 😅😅😂😂
corey perry has always been one of my favorite players, but i just learned about the vaccination card thing which has made him my favorite player in the history of the nhl
