i hated it at first, but after getting one in game i fell in love with it!

Sliggoo and Goodra are based on creatures with shells, so these are their perfect forms.

Yeah I don’t understand why either. At first when I saw it for the first time I was like “Wow this is a lame design 😑” but afterwards it grew on me. Although I kind of preferred the Kalosian form of Goodra since it was pink, and I was kind of surprised they changed Goodra’s tail into more of a shell

Probably because the hisuian forms don’t have much of a difference, but maybe it just didn’t have to change that much between hisuian and kalosian times.

Its gonna be sick future games and maybe both forms be available like you need a special way to get it or evolve through a thunder storm type kinda deal instead of just raining but still needs to rain to. Sword and shield had both those weathers.

They likely did but there isn't much they probably could of done about it. I think of it like Splatoon, there tentacle hair is usualy clipping thru there arms and body that you kinda just have to give it a pass

@@jameskard not… really. I’m no animator by any stretch of the imagination but I doubt it would be difficult to slightly alter the angle/animation of the antenna to avoid clipping while still keeping it in relatively the same place. Otherwise it’s great

@@donovanjoseph737 yeah I'm not saying it can't be done, just that it's a common enough thing to happen that they probably just had to allow it or over complicate the model

Not really exinct, just changed. evolved to better suit their new circumstances

@@balamugunthbalaji8110 what you've said basically means the same as extinction. A newer variant of a species evolving to displace the old one (if they live in the same habitat, that is) usually means the older one will die out

Technically, extinction is defined as the death of all individuals of a certain species. The fact that there are variants that can be clearly identified as descendants of this species in modern canon means that either the population gradually changed by natural selection to assume the form it has in modern canon (that may or may not still be reproduction-capable with the ancient variant) or that there was divergent evolution that caused one or more splits in the progenitor population where geographical/ecological/etc. separation caused diverging paths of evolution (which is also the case in canon for e.g. the Alolan variants) that eventually led to the extinction of all branches but the ones existing in modern canon. As, however, pokemon are intrinsically cross-breedable based on egg groups, they do not conform to the real-life scientific definition of species (or genetics really as there does not seem to be much recombination) as different pokemon can still produce reproduction-viable offspring. But in any case, there was only partial extinction if at all.

@@yuujinner5801 Some of them are the same but with slight differences..so it doesn't really classify as extinct more so just changing a body part; Loke with goodra it just looses it's shell, it's still a goodra but it lacks a shell. Evolution isn't exactly extinction..for example dog breeds looked WAY different 5 decades ago yet they're still considered the same thing with no changes in names or species thus there was no extinction as the species still is around just a bit different.

@@testerwulf3357 that's because dog breeds are largely artificial and made by humans. In reality having or not having a certain trait is already enough to guarantee it's a different species using irl logic. we and neanderthals are different, yet closely species, yet we look almost the same with minor differences

Since they are lonely, it makes sense why Goodra are typically very clingy

Actually, if you look very careful, Goodra has a very adorable smile. After noticing that smile, Goodra doesn't look sad anymore.

Yeah your right. At first i kinda hate some Hisui form but once i had the game, i start to like all of them. (Expect origin Dialga and Palkia, they look horrible and ugly and wrong on many level for me. They don't look as cool as origin Giratina)

Oh god what did the creators think when they were coming up with origin Dialga and Palkia like they look like they could be a first draft of making a design but not a canon one, I especially think that they did Palkia the dirtiest, like the head looks so weird on the body their in which is basically a horse looking body with no arms yet for some reason those circular things that are on the shoulders stays-

@@Mimikai4884 I think the concept was great they try to look like their creators but in design they screwed up. Like They could have had their legs look alot better and allowed palkia to keep its arms then I guarentee it would look amazing. And as for dialga it lost its armor plating which is easily how you fix it. Give it back that armor and fix its werid leg designs and bomb top teir design. Its funny too. They try to mimic their creator and all and at first glance you can say giratina isnt but in actuality it too is mimicking arceus just not completly girating only mimic's a certain aspect of arceus his head. if you look at origin giratina it looks just like the back of arceus's head. Even if it wasnt the case originally I feel like that is super neat.

Is depresed because, in the times of Hisui, the people are afraid of Pokémon and goodra dont have much contact whith humans, just see the description of the Pokédex of normal goodra in older games

Sligoo can't get out of it's shell, and it's probably heavy, I don't think it's blind, just really slow at turning around.

@@blazenflakes7251 its pokedex entry in x and y says that its eyes have devolved and there's no reason hisuan sliggoos wouldn't either

Both hate to be Alone, and while og goodra live in a era where pokemon and human co exists and where he can make friends, hissui one are stuck in an era were most people don't trust pokemon, making so he doesn't have many human friends
