To be fair, neither has the timber wolves. The difference is, the Mavs are simply not playing their best because they don't start out well. The timberwolves are are not at their best because of the mavs pressure.

If anything, it's ant and kat on the wolves who should be stepping up. Quite the opposite for the mavs. Both stars are showing out while their role players have good defense but haven't had that really big game offensively.
@@jjcometa9333 you named one person game 1. One person game 2. And then average performance of Rudy gobert who's main purpose is Rim protection, yet the mavs have scored more paint points then they have in any playoff series thus far. YES, as a whole the T wolves have been not very good.

The key for Dallas is to continue shutting down Minnesota's top guys. Their defense on Ant and KAT through 2 games has been so important. Defensively, Luka has been stepping up, Derrick Jones J.R - who's come a long way from being known only as a 'high flyer'- has been the best perimeter defender for Dallas, and the key to their incredible defense: Dereck Lively II, Daniel Gafford, and P.J Washington. D Live is proving he should have made that All-Rookie First Team with his hustle and heart. Overall, Dallas has been letting the others step up and Jaden McDaniels' and Naz Reid aren't always going to behaving crazy shooting nights. It's Dallas in 6.
Once again. Luka hobbled still looked like an MVP still. Shame voters last year but if youre gonna make make up years, then make sure luke gets his as well. Cause the carry job luka did this year while being efficient and at least decent defensively should be noted
He came in and immediately knew his role. The chemistry between Luka and Kyrie is just amazing. It’s very rare these days to see this happen. Everyone is part of the look at me culture and it’s rare to have two stars come together put aside egos and Work to get a win. Kyrie lays it all out every game. He just works ! We have two stars, but these are definitely team wins. The Dallas Mavericks are a true team who play team ball !
The greatest fear in the NBA is if Eastern European teams were to petition to become part of the NBA. Might open a few eyes as to how high and mighty the NBA really is.....
would be surprised if THJ is still on the mavs next year hardy has played the same minutes vs the t wolves and looks so much better he get down hill well and he can think he knows when to shoot or pass when THJ is shooting well he is a better shooter but that's all he can do and he is so inconsistent
Naz Reid was killing those 3 pointers. 21 of his 23 points were 3 pointers. That last shot with just 3 seconds left in the game would have been classic had he made it. But he missed it. Imagine if Naz Reid had made that shot. That would have nullified the previous shot by Luka Doncic. Then the Ant Man would have been talking trash? Oh, well! Such is life, isn't it? Sometimes luck does happen. Positive or negative?
I would worry more about Dallas actually making their 3s next games if I were the wolves. If they are this close to lose while winning the sharpshooter battle, they need to adjust quickly

Mavs had Hella injuries this season and yet they're 6-7 games behind Jokic. That's pure BS. Russ won it when he avg triple dub for a season as a 6th seed. Jokic carried hard as 6th seed ad well. Where's luka's mvp? He's higher and circumstances placed his team 5th in their conference and 6-7 in the league
