That night I cried out to the Lord asking for forgiveness....what church could not do for 10 years, that moment of repentance change me for ever. That said, I was a huge believer you can lose you salvation, and so I worked hard to keep my salvation. Til one day I fell in deep mud, and I said no way GOD will forgive me, and yet his grace came over me...and I heard this verse there is 'no condemnation for those who are in Jesus Christ". It hit me, salvation is about Jesus, I never earned it, therefore i cant lose it.

Some hypocrites say Matthew 7 is about Christians who correctly boasted, but their boasting was somehow insufficient because their works were not up to demanded standard by living how God wants as a result of grace, or the secret rejection and a lack of such ability

In reality it is consistent with what was and will still be preached here, which is consistent with not of works but the gift of God, so that no one can boast and that means they were mistakenly boasting about their works when it should be, how imperfect they were and how grateful they were that what was done at calvary was greater than their sins

I know for a fact I'm saved, but nowhere in the Bible does it say once you're saved you're always saved, that doctrine should not be taught.

Thing is can eternal life be taken away? Angels couldn’t die so had eternal life, it didn’t stop 1/3 from perishing in an eternal death. I was just coming to Christ when i saw his testimony and found it fishy and unmoving but didn’t want to judge but now that I know he’s a work’s salvationist it makes sense

Not of works but the gift of God so that no one can boast, but in Matthew 7 they were boasting about their works instead of confessing how imperfect they were, and how grateful they were for what was done at calvary which was greater than their sins

Anyone teaching that u can lose your salvation is depending on what they do and not what Jesus has done. It’s like saying if you sin x amount of times then your condemned. We are not to grieve the spirit which redeems us and sanctifies us but to walk in the spirit and not the flesh. We can quench or grieve the spirit but not lose it because the Bible says you are sealed until the day of redemption.

You are of the belief that the Holy Spirit CANNOT help us overcome our sins???

@@freddhernanadez2230 I truly tell you with all my heart friend, if anyone could lose their salvation after being saved, sadly I most certainly would be that person. But it is the love that Jesus shows me daily throughout my life, the forgiveness He gives me when I am so undeserving, even when I fail Him the most that keeps me turning to Him, striving to be more like Him, putting my faith in Him rather than myself and is why I love Him so!

If one's definition of overcoming sin is that you sin less, or don't commit the big sins, then you have not overcome sin at all. If you think you have overcome sin completely in this life then you have deceived yourself.

He actually claims to live a holy life too. I'm not kidding or exaggerating, he claims that verbatim.

You guys just don’t understand the difference between practicing a sin and the built in sinful nature of humans.

@@Kam-qn5is then explain to me how many times you need to commit the same sin before you can say you practice a sin. Can you tell me if you will truly ever stop lying? If not can you admit you have a practice of Lying? I used to think exactly like you and spent years wondering whether a sin I had committed was a habit because I couldn’t go a month without it. Like I would actually tally up how many times I lied etc in a month jusy to make sure I wasn’t practicing a sin. I ended up being a puffed up judgmental idiot thinking I was better than others only to fall into the worse shameful sins of my life. And I’m grateful because God showed me in that moment that I am a filthy sinner no matter how much I try. We all sin everyday that’s the sad truth we are sinners, that’s why Jesus taught us in the Lord’s Prayer to say “forgive us our sins” it’s in there for a reason.

@@freddhernanadez2230 If you commit one sin at the same time you say the Holy spirit has power to help us overcome sin, then you are saying the Holy Spirit only has limited power because he was not able to stop you from committing that one sin. Think about it. Satan's main objective is to make sure nobody comes to the knowledge of the truth. The world is convicted of sin. 1st John 5:4-5 For whatsoever is BORN OF GOD overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that BELIEVETH that Jesus is the Son of God. Believers have overcome sin because it will no longer send us to Hell. We have not stopped sinning but have overcome the judgement upon it. You are confusing the 2 natures that every saved person has. 1st John 3:9 and John 3:16. Either these 2 verses are true or they are not. I believe they are true so lets compare them. Both of these passages are talking about the spiritual birth and has nothing to do with the flesh birth. 1st John 3:9 reads, Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he CANNOT (meaning unable to) sin, because he is BORN OF GOD. Your spirit birth is born of God. Your natural flesh birth is not. Your new born again spiritual birth is perfect and CANNOT SIN. 1st Peter 1:23 Being BORN AGAIN, not of corruptible seed, but of INCORRUPTIBLE, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. If I could somehow lose my salvation, then my spiritual birth got corrupted somehow when the Bible says that it cleary cannot be corrupted. But your flesh birth keeps on sinning til the day you die. When people say they sin less, they deceive themselves. If 1st John was talking about your flesh, then you would not have ANY SINS because according to this verse, you are unable to sin even 1 time. God is perfect. So whosoever is born of God has to be perfect. You also wouldn't even have to make a conscious effort not to sin. Becaue if you are not able, then no conscious effort would be needed. This is the born again spiritual birth. Same with John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should NOT PERISH, but have everlasting life. Again talking about your spirit birth. Your spirit birth will never perish (die). It CANNOT DIE. It is unable to die. But your flesh birth will either be in an urn or 6 feet under ground. It's not going anywhere. I hope you don't think you will not die physically. So you know this verse has to talking about the spiritual birth. John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be BORN AGAIN, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Then he tells Nicodemus how this new birth is given in John 3:16.

See the thing is once you are saved you already have overcome sin due to the holy spirit being God’s imputed righteousness. Romans 4: 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. Also also if you believe in what you believe in surely at the judgment seat of Christ you won’t say “Have I not done many wonderful works?”

Please~~ With a humble heart, pray about ETERNAL SALVATION and ask God to show you the Truth. Tell the Lord that if you are misunderstanding the gospel of our salvation, you need to know. Ask Him to correct anything that you may have wrong, because NOTHING is more important than understanding His Word correctly. You really need to BELIEVE on what Jesus, ALONE, completely accomplished at the cross to save you. And you need to see, in scripture, that the Christian’s mortal life, once born of God’s Spirit through FAITH ALONE in Christ’s finished work, does not affect their position in Christ, as their flesh (the old man, in Adam) was crucified on the cross with Christ, they are now alive IN CHRIST and sealed with the Spirit of God until redemption.

You can loose it if you live in sin without repentance.

@@CornerstoneMinistry316 You can become lukewarm and fall because of the sin. Repentance keeps you alive every time when you confess your sins to God and obey the commands. The one who endures until the end is saved.

In context 1JOHN 1:9 describes a non-believer if they admit they need the Savior as evidenced by agreeing we have sin, confess those sins and we have sinned, God saves us and makes us righteous, forgiven, justified, sanctified,and glorified.

I believe they are deceived and can't see those verses with correct understanding.

I don't think they understand that God is actually real and that Jesus did come and die for us on a cross and rose again. I think they think it's just a book made by man to teach you how to live. They don't take it seriously whatsoever.

@@eternitywithjesus777 Then why don’t they ever quote the above verse of 1 Corinthians but then misinterpret it? THEY ALWAYS AVOID IT despite having had to have seen it. They DID understand it which is why they avoid it. And that strongly indicates that they are deliberately leading people astray with premeditated malice.
