I gotta say, your new videos are way better now, nothing against the news videos were you talked about the revealed cards, but those videos had almost zero rewatch value, since in a few days everyone will now, and there is nothing to go back on them to make us revisit them, but those videos are not only longer, more entertaining, but they also have great rewatch value since we can always see this information again for funs, while the reports were just one watch and that is it. Great to see this change in the channel cap.

I'm only 26 years old... And I'm sitting here going on a huge ass nostalgia trip cause I remembered everything from start to finish even when the news broke on YugiTube.

I didn't delete his channel. That would be another RU-vidr or RU-vid themselves.

When you said "A decade ago", I was like "Pshh, did we even have RU-vid in like 2002?". And then I remembered how old I was...

yooooo i died when that dude was like "dont drop the soap, cu you gon be hoppin on someone else's deck list now" or *"i wonder how much a dark armed dragon can get you in jail?"*

And let's talk about at that research you did. Even going through my videos. I'm honored.

Adam played at my locals back in 2009 and 2010. His collection was impressive, but he really treated people like they were below him. His arrest was a huge story in my area. A regional in Lafayette had some of his collection to raise money for him. They called it the "Adam Kolb is a Piece of Shit Auction."

This one hits me hard. I personally knew Adam for years as we participated in all the same regionals as he was from Louisana and Im in Southeast Texas. I hung out with Adam and all the Louisiana guys through out the years as I was a grinder of regionals and any Shonan Jump that was local. I was actually close to him and was becoming active in the groups. Hell, was even in his Fantasy Football league. I knew about the situation the minute it happened as our entire group got word from the ordeal. Sadly, alot of the stuff he was doing was unknown to EVERYONE. When we saw the local news talking about him, it made was FURIOUS. Only 2 people tried supporting him and thats it. Those people I DO NOT talk to today. There are SOOOOO many things we can talk about but ive blocked almost ALL my memories of Adam. This was around the time I was getting out of the game and moving on. I deleted all my videos that were involved with him as well back them. He can rot in jail for all I care. You just never know man...

My friends and I figured it would be him. I won a contest he did back in the day and then he kinda took me under his wing and was helping my channel grow right around when he got arrested. Because he had my address he even wrote me from various prisons and because I was a kid and didn't understand the gravity of the situation I even wrote back a couple times. Very much goes to show how you do not know people that you think you know through the internet.

This man was literally put on the banlist. G-hopper to 0 and not likely coming off.

The happy ending is that he can't victimize others anymore.

Cap, I am loving these type of journalistic videos on the yugioh community. This video...damn, I didn't even think someone like this was in the community. I didn't even get into the online community until a year or so ago. I'm used to seeing your channel, Cimoo, Dzeef, Mkohl40, House of Champs, TeamAPS, HardLegJoe, the list goes on. And while I really believed that this community was full of fun and vibrant and energetic people who loved the game...I never thought we'd have someone like Ghopper around. I didn't even know who he was until I saw this video...damn, goes to show there's a dark side to any community. Still, I remain optimistic. You and other content creators bust your asses for us and talk to us too. I love the new direction you're going as a Yugituber, providing content that has alot of values I learned when I went to college to be a journalist. You're bringing up all the crazy stories, the funny stories and now, even the dark stories. And as I was taught by journalists, this was their mantra: The Public Has the Right to Know. Keep up the good work, man. You're fulfilling your mission. I wish you nothing but success.

Holy moly that is some deep dark video! Outstanding topic and really inovative. Props to you for doing something that no one else is doing as well as you, and also for making videos that are perfect for me to rewatch while cooking or cleaning my house (even though this one creeped the heck out of me). CapG out here with the macro perspective of the Yugioh community as a whole, and I love it!!! I hope you introduce people to more history regarding past Yugioh personalities/Yugitubers, pivotal events, tournament upsets, etc. Much appreciation for the content.

I remember this guy, around that time I was playing tournaments at my locals in the area. He was really cool and really nice to me and even helped me build a deck before a tournament. I remember when this happened everyone was so surprised because he didn't seem like the kind of guy that would do this. It's crazy how this happened so long ago but watching this video put him so fresh in my mind.

While I do miss some of your replays and card reveal videos, I believe the video a week format is doing wonders especially if the Delinquent Duo story's views are anything to go off of. Never heard of this guy. Must've been a popular Yugituber way back during the early days of RU-vid. CapG even made a vid back in 2011 talking about the drama.

I made a comment in MBT's Remote Duel video about there being substantial room for a "Yugioh Event Historian" within the community, and I'm really happy you're doing something in that vein. Yugioh has existed for over 2 decades now and there are so many interesting stories like this, both well and little know. So many thanks and hope this series finds huge success.

I like to imagine that Ghopper85 was one of the background characters in the Satelight prison mini-arc at the start of 5Ds. Yusei gets arrested and sent to jail and has to duel the wardon for the safety of his fellow inmates who deserve to go free because they've served their sentences, so they smuggle him a deck of thrown together cards for him to duel with.

He just got released few weeks earlier than expected. Ghopper85 also started a new YT-channel

I remember this guy, not that well, but mostly from him being one of the earlier content creators. Its funny that you say that 'everyone was surprised', and "no one saw it coming", because he was known as shady from before his arrest, although mainly by his online boasting (that he generally couldn't back up IRL). For the gravity of what he did, and lets be honest, he is one of the most heinous people to ever play this game, the drama blew over fairly quickly. About a month after, no one remembered this creep, and I'm pretty sure it was because we weren't all that surprised by it. I will commend you on your 'history of yugioh' videos, honestly, they are the best ones on youtube, keep up the good work G

Honestly Cap, I really appreciated this video. Not for the style or the explanation, but for the coverage. Ghopper was my introduction to competitive yugioh (I was about eight at the time) and even though I understood I wouldn't be able to play competitively I enjoyed his content. However, as someone suffering from a lot of trauma, and due to that severe gaps in my memory, I didn't remember any of this but I sometimes tried to figure out where I remembered his face from. I've on go into depth on my problems due to this being a public platform, buy thank you. This is the sort of thing that shouldn't be swept under the rug and I'm glad you brought light onto the subject. The way you've delivered it all has given me hope for the closure I need. An other yugituber (way smaller though) was "The Ignoble Knight of youtube" who was convicted for beeing a pedofile.

I remember watching this dude back then. Seeing the full thing unfolding. God seeing your thumbnail brought back all these memories.

Man I really want this series to continue it is so nice to see the different side of yugioh and yugitubers as it is not talked about and having this media that you do can help shed light on people that abused their power in the yugioh community
