I'd prefer them going bankrupt (along with Disney) and selling Star Trek to someone who knows how to handle it. Or at least know how to tell interesting, intelligent stories.

The problem is they try to be star wars. Trek worked because of the content was wrapped up in one show, a moral fiber filled approach. They went far away from this, which is the core of Genes vision. It's like the creators don't even watch the show. Strange new worlds captures this, and is worthy but paramount nudged the Orville off the radar so far with dirty tactics and broadcast money. It's a different time, but mostly they fail.

When did the word Trekkers stop being an insult to the fans? It's like saying Pokeman to a pokemon fan. Must be the "new" generation of fans who helped make star trek, no longer star trek. New season of discovery is like an Indiana Jones movie broken up for TV consumption. But we are not on TV just make it one thing already. Star Trek Picard? Well thats in the new Kelvin universe or the one it created. Romulas never blew up except in that movie. Which means its not in our original universe. They made it sound like Jean Luc Picard could destroy the whole federation with that last season. Wasn't CBS and paramount + reasons why many people stopped watching TV? We were already paying for a subscription and then they charge us more for something we already technically pay for. I watch everything on the internet, there is no reason to pay for TV or movies or streaming services. maybe one day they will end the need to constantly be stimulated. Though it makes sense why most people in real life are so dull and burned out. They do nothing but watch stuff that make their body produce dopemine, so if you don't do that, their dopemine is non existant? It really is time to go outside and do something that needs both hands, like swimming or fishing or climbing...
