Yeah. People say 2013 was his best but I think 2008 and 2010 were better, especially tennis wise, results can be argued

Yes, not only that year, Rafa will always be the best ever player on the plannet, no comperation with Rafa, Rafa is Tennis fan from Srbia, I knowvthis gold, and all Rafas matches, all his unique shots, as his huge fan for more than 15 years,

2010 a banner year. Yes 08, 10 and 13 were huge for Rafa. I like 2010 because he became at age 24 the youngest player to win the grand slam(and golden slam). His 2010 US Open final victory over Novak was the best I’ve seen him play on hard courts. No man alive could have beat him that day.
@manojkumardutta8800
@manojkumardutta8800 4 года назад
@@damohanson5393 I agree that 2010 is Rafa's banner year as it was his only 3 slam year. Clay Slam, Channel Slam, youngest Career GS holder, reclaiming no 1 from Fed and finishing the year no 1 too..so many records yet 2013 was better overall unquestionably. A very simple fact, he scored more wins, more big titles and more year ending points in 2013 than 2010. Not to mention snatching the no 1 spot from prime Djokovic for good!!!

Some might say that Gonzalez was an easy prey for Rafa, or could say that Rafa was handed a gift medal. It is not the case at all. In the previous round, Rafa faced an in-form Djoko, who gave everything to win. Gonzalez reminds (now) of Kachanov, really a hard hitter in all aspect of his game. He was a top 5 player in the world. Also won Beijing in 2007. So Gonzalez was at ease on this court.

That third set was just a mix. Gonzalez didn’t seem like he was sure and at times looks like he has just thrown the towel. I would have demanded that he left his heart and soul on the court and keep trying to give more, even if he lost. It is the final of a major event, granted not a Slam, but still. As for Rafa, this was nostalgic. Some things he does here better than now, but there are things he does now that even the young version cannot do. Love the redirecting he does in this video. Just like how Federer learned to improve his backhand in rallies, Rafa improved his ability to deal with powerful drives to his forehand.
