@@TheLeevoy Update: I dm'd the company who presses Capcom's game vinyls (laced audio). I asked if there were plans for a DR PRESSING with being connected to Capcom, They said "No plans currently I'm afraid, but always a chance in future" :( Don't hold your breath :'(
Now I can play gone guru out loud in a military car in a park at 8 PM I would like to formally apologize as I made this comment before STiP0 mentioned the fact that gone guru is not present in the official dead rising soundtrack Cd due to "some copy right issues".
I love Japanese game soundtrack CDs. Japan has always had a fascination with game music way more than the west did in the past it seems since there are so many games with official cd soundtracks that we never got! Also, the cardboard sleeve is called a "spinecard" or "obi", that might make searching for complete CDs a bit easier since a lot of Japanese sellers will specify "with obi" or "missing obi"(some big Japanese sellers with storefronts use stock photos of items so if it doesn't look like it has the obi, always read the description!). I didn't know this soundtrack even existed! Great video!
I recently bought some School Food Punishment CDs from Japan which mostly came with the obi. I don't know why they're seemingly important enough to be worth mentioning in the listing whether it has them or not, but I don't get how people would lose them. Would you not just put it inside the jewel case after opening...?
I'm surprised STiP0 didn't mention the T-Shirt that came with ordering the soundtrack. To be fair, that shirt is extremely hard to come by, I've only seen a couple mentions of it on the internet.
I love the way you explain things, a few months back I didn't even know this game, but you made me absolutely obsessed with it, thank you so much for all your content! (And for fixing your trainer's link when it stopped working, I wanted to try some goofy stuff myself 😂)
This made me wonder, is there a fully instrumental version of Justified somewhere? The intro with Connie&Dakota ends with a short, cut together version of it. (The ending portion would normally have lyrics over it at that point.)
Had this as a kid because I couldn't find anything dead rising on itunes back then at the time before dead rising 2 was released. So glad I had ripped this onto my PC and kept it in my itunes library after all these years.
That portrait of Madonna the dog is not really random. On that page there seems to be a commentary of one of the devs and he mentioned that he wants to make something cute, like a dog related game. That's why Madonna is there.
I’ve been to Japan twice and asked around everywhere I could but couldn’t get my hands on this 😫 Love all you videos by the way. Dead rising is the most nostalgia inducing game, and still my all time favourite game ever
Don't know how interested you'd be in this, but I recently got a hold of a Dead Rising 2 Zombrex Edition Box set. It comes with the base game and a bonus content disc as well. If you ever wanted to do another video on Dead Rising physical content, I could send you some pictures and videos of both the physical items and the bonus disk footage.
STiP0, your content is unbelievably good, yet i still don't know how i found your channel, seeing as the only version of dead rising that i played was chop till you drop lol.
I wish Dead Rising had more collectible merchandise. What you mentioned is of course most of what we have. You have got something I’d love to come across and keep safe as the Soundtrack of this game has always stuck with me; my favorites being the main mall music, Carlitos theme in cutscenes/Bomb collector, Carlitos locket/Santa Cabeza, and of course the Psychopath music (Adam is still best) Me as a minor figure collector wished some company made figures of our heroes. Frank from DR1 And OTR/CW games, Chuck from DR2 and 3, and Nick with a variant of damaged clothing. Depending on the company I’m sure many other figures would’ve come along but I at least wish we got our main characters. Still hoping someday for at least Frank from the original game. Camera, Baseball bat, hammer, chainsaw, pistol, a Queen, orange juice, and a maybe some shades. After all these years I consider this game to be my favorite of all time so Im sad nobody ever made any figures before the series sunk. Best I got is a poster
I collect vinyl and a bunch also have an obi strip, thankfully with vinyl you can easily keep the sleeves and keep the obi strip with the records even then I've had to store a few in a drawer near my collection.
I’m currently trying to find a sealed Steelbook Collectors Edition of the game. Unfortunately the steelbook was exclusive to Europe so it’s been difficult finding one on eBay that will ship to the US
I have lyrics from Slave by The Evolutionaries tattooed on my wrists, and I never would've heard the song without DR and I think the song as well as the soundtrack(and honestly the entire game) is underrated. So seeing an official lyric page for it, with Dead Rising decor around it, is such a fucking fever dream. What a fucking find bröther
Hey Stipo! just wondering something, inside that little book that has both names and lyrics of all Dead Rising songs... I saw Adam's theme is song no.12. Would you mind sharing the lyrics of that damn piece? I swear I've tried to decipher the lyrics more times that I'd like to admit. Btw, great job mantaining the development history of Dead Rising, a game that I'm very fond of! Keep it up man!
I just found a factory sealed North American print of the first edition of dead rising 1 on Xbox 360 with the white label for $150. I thought it was a steal considering most I see come up for around $500.
I love listening to this soundtrack especially the music at the beginning when taking photos, the mall music and the credits called justified,I got the same one a few years back on eBay,I didn't know it was rare.👍
I hope they make new Dead Rising 1 merch someday if the title ever gets a remaster or special anniversary, I found a sorta rare DR1 shirt on Mercari but never bought it and havent seen it again since :,)
Have you ever had an idea for a dead rising game? If so what’s the story? Who’s the MC? Where would the location be? What kinda psychopath would there be?
Hey Stip0 i was wondering if you knew if there was any anti-piracy protection that the capcop developers put in. I know some developers add easter egg stuff to scare people who pirate the game but I was wondering if there were any for Dead Rising.
StiP0, this is going back as I have that cd as well. With the CD soundtrack did you also get the limited edition t-shirt as well? I remember when i saw that I had to get both the cd and t-shirt. I still have the t-shirt unworn in a drawer.
I fucking thought this existed I thought I was going crazy but actually does exist hahaha I knew it, a game store in Australia actually did have one of these but I didn't think too much of it, little did I know how difficult it would be to find this gem
This soundtrack is actually the source of all the song uploads on the internet! Some websites still carry the 1:1 audio quality. Capcom has never released FLAC audio or anything sadly.
