I want them to be on. I really want them to be on together really fucking badly. They've got so much knowledge in strongman and are funny as fuck together.
Big men have confidence in their abilities. Big men are looked up to. As long as a big man isn't fucked with too hard as a child he will generally turn out to be a nice guy who helps people. That's what big men are for - pillars of strength.
It was super necessary, It does, you can be in the hospital and have an aorta tear and they still likely wont be able to save you. That a whole order of magnitude worse.
I shampoo my bald head ,its disgusting not to because your skin and scalp still pick up dust and dirt on the air just like anyone else does, how stupid are you ?
I’m surprised Joe didn’t make the “marunde” connection Jesse Marunde was the older brother of Bristol Marunde who was briefly in the UFC and was a contestant on TUF
Frankie Lindley I remember seeing Jesse on a WSM competition on espn. He kicked ass on the phone pole lift or whatever, had a smaller guy from Japan next to him. After Jesse cleared the task he went back to encourage his opponent. Unfortunate he passed so early, seemed like a good person based solely on the sportsmanship
Due to neck circumference My neck is 21" at 249 I hold a couple state PL records and have trained with some top guys in NA Strongman and PL Undiagnosed for 20 years; cpap turned my life around. Just 2.5 years later, I set those records
Or deadlifting. The last guy to win the world strongest man did a whole speech about that, if you don't want to be a strongman, don't deadlift. It's really fucking dangerous. And if you are... well Eddie Hall literally gave himself a *concussion* while breaking the world record (1162 pounds IIRC, or whatever 500kg in pounds is) He forgot the name of his wife and kids for 2 months.
Sam K Yeah I honestly don’t think Deadlifting is that bad for you given you do it correctly. Understandably an insane 1 rep max could fuck you up. But not a 2-3 sets of a comfortable/do-able weight
I’ve had sleep apnea (bad) since I was in my mid-30’s - now 59, and with my CPAP - I get the best sleep of my life. Now - Friday I go back to my CPAP Doctor, and I’ve lost 115lbs - 321lbs to 206lbs - and I’m curious what changes, if anything.
most folkjs lose weight on cpap because it fills up your stomach with air decreasing your appetite i tried cpap for a month i cant it gave me too much bad symptoms of aerophagia ima try a oral appliance
@Danny yeah true but you dont notice it yourself tho. I have apnea and my girlfriend thought i was dying in my sleep and woke me thats how we found out, i thought i was sleeping fine. Felt like shit tho but i thought it was something else
@@mariofernandez9409 ah ok i had those at first but my mouth kept opening so they gave a me chin strap after that but my lips where still going brrrr :P so they gave ma a full mask but im happy now :)
All powelifters suffer from hemorrhoids and anal fissures, imagine how much you have to eat to get so damn fat! Your fat ass (pun intended) is gonna suffer a toll.
CPAP folks I was 5-11 and 300lbs Took a sleep study , was prescribed a CPAP and immediately I could sleep all night and lost 10 pounds pretty quick and my lung capacity has increased Which I know because I wear respiratory protection at work and have to be tested regularly
I am about to see a specialist to get one myself, similar height and weight. Did you have any issues adjusting to it? And did you recognize a difference in rest? I should have mine in approximately 1-2 weeks.
@@1337PeeZy I have a full face mask. It took a bit of getting used to but the difference is massive. It changed my life. Waking up with energy, change in mood. Just being able to do more things. Highly recommend anyone who is worried about their sleep to consider this.
Sushi Uchiha you’re mad about something and I can’t figure out why? Is it that daddy didn’t hug you enough or did he hug you a little too much? Do us all a favor and go back down to your moms basement and be quiet while the adults speak. You contributed nothing toward the conversation. Keep doing that elsewhere kid.
Great content Joe , loved your'e meet up with McGregor haven't seen his vicious victory I cannot get this super strong man stuff after a while the problems outweigh any more gains in flexibility in aerobics in actual movement but I guess everyone to their own , right elbow fracture mending, no matter how tough we are all just flesh and blood at the end of the day.
"It happens in Jiu Jitsu. Guys have heart attacks while training." My fat paranoid self has training at 7pm. I've been worried about having a heart attack. I have felt like I was having a heart attack!
Shit, I remember Jesse Marunde, he was competing in World's Strongest Man in our Polish dominator Pudzianowski's times. He was pretty young back then and I was sure he’s gonna stay on the top for longer time. Had no idea he passed away at such a young age...
On July 25, 2007 Marunde died following a workout in Sequim, Washington. The cause of his death was a genetic heart defect, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a leading cause of sudden cardiac death in young athletes. Jesse's widow Callie Marunde is currently married to professional strongman competitor Nick Best.
When you hold your breath lifting heavy weight your diaphragm can become facilitated for other muscles. In other words, the inhibited muscles can’t work properly without the input of the diaphragm. It’s a dysfunctional pattern that can cause a lot of dysfunction and pain, which can become chronic.
haha right i think we all knew that but why did they try and hide the name in the title.. it's "sleep apnea" haha just lose weight and you wont die in your sleep
@Michael Edwards Obstructive sleep apnea, witch is the most common can be caused by obesity and losing weight will typically help. I've been performing sleep studies for the past 16 years . AMOF I have 2 patients I'm watching as I type this
@@lucaschitwood4305 you would also know then that it is internal anatomy that is the true factore and the external weight is secondary. Weight is not the problem.
Also deadlifts and farmers walks are easier for the shorter people. They dont have to lift things as far off the ground. Also the squat type events. The strong man competition is interesting to me cause some events are easier for different body types. The keg toss and the one where they pick up the balls and stick them on the pedestals are easier for the taller people. The bus/train tow is easier for the heavier (and to an extent) shorter people too. Low center of gravity. More inertia. Stumpy legs.
I’m very small compared to these strong men. I have what’s (in Laymans terms) centralized sleep apnea. Every 7-9 seconds my respiratory system pauses. I can’t imagine being big and strong lifting that heavy and not making it to 30. That would be my luck.
DimensionZombie ronda rousy can’t do anything except make that stupid “I’m so tough even men are scared of me” face. Which actually just makes her look like an angry person with Down syndrome
Im 27, ive had sleep apnea since i was 14. I was skinny as hell before i got it. I blew up to 250 pounds without using a cpap. Now im 215 pounds. But i think i got sleep apnea through stress. Grew up in a broken home and was always stressed out. Im hoping if i get down to 180 ill cure it.
@@hart3113 internal anatomy of your oral phalanx. While laying in the horizontal position the area is not large and with your body literally paralyzing your muscles things tend to close off. The factor is to what degree of the area is closed off. If you have been diagnosed with sleep apnea then you need it treated.
Stress couldve added to it because it adds to Insulin Resistance. Apnea is related to Fatty Tongue. Its like Fatty Liver disease where fat builds up where it shouldnt. Eddie Hall has apnea, hes probably got a few things happening which are detectable through the correct blood tests, GGT, Lipids/Cholesterol.
