For me 2 players should not have been first choice all tournament, Kane and Foden, They offered nothing today, and the majority of the games leading upto the final.
Southgate proved he is not up to job again! Beaten by a much better team with a coach who was prepared to give youth a chance!! Kane and Co should’ve been dropped after first game totally abysmal! You can’t win things by just defending, you have to attack with pace and movement of both players and ball. The wait goes on as will the inquiries to another defeat and if I’m being honest with myself I didn’t think we could win! We have the talent and players but not the manager to use them to their best!
We did. I just think if we'd gone all out - something they haven't done all tournament - then we'd have been picked off. Could have game over after 30 mins.
If your team only performs when substitutions are made…doesn’t that say, the starting XI is wrong? Foden & Bellingham both wanted a free role in the middle, constantly leaving the left side exposed.
The Spain's manager didn't have to guess the starting 11 Southgate would out , should have started palmer,watkins and Gordon and kane/Bellingham and foden coming on as super subs, the structure of the team would not have changed,just more mobile/hungry players up top 🏴💪
