The Graph says "Closed No Filter" that is actually the metric for "No Top Fan". This is also to do with Deepcool telling us that the review embargo had been moved up by 24 hours about 3 hours from the new embargo. Instead of us having an extra day to polish the video within our planned schedule we were rushed. Very unprofessional of them. I guess it's reflected in the quality of this case. If there are any typos in the video. You know who to blame. We had to rush this to get it out on time. Just like Deepcool and their QC. Yeah I am salty about it. @@xs3tsunax not really, the NR200 is more of a liquid cooled case with a 280mm radiator support with the option to aircool aswell the only thing good about this case is the price which is really good.
Cheap SFF case with a handle seems like a solid LAN party option. Like Nick I want to dunk on it, but it really seams to do the job without breaking the bank or overheating parts.
SilverStone ML08B-H was a SFF case back in the day .. and it had a handle .. but at the time it was about $80 i believe .. it was a time when SFF build where starting to pop up..
Typically in ITX cases with this layout like the NCase M1, Cooler Master NR200, etc., when you use a tower cooler you set it up to intake from the back and bottom (for GPU) and exhausts through the top. This case has perforated front which makes things even easier, the PSU gets fresh air. For some reason, case makers don't include the fan filter for the back with cases with that layout which leads me to believe they either don't know how people set up air cooling in them or don't care. It's a shame they didn't make the case longer and added side brackets like in NR200. That would enable longer GPUs (good luck fitting any 4090 other than FE or most 4080s) and AIO or more storage, but it would raise the price too and geniuses would say "it's just another copy of NR200". In fact, the AIO isn't really needed when you have Thermalright coolers which cost like $50 and cool better than any 240mm AIO, but I would like to have more storage space...
The top and exhaust fans seem counter intuitive. The exhaust fan is right up against the cpu cooler fan, and the top fan directs the airflow away from the cpu cooler, basically exhausting the air intake from the front immediately.
Now this is a case that makes me want to build a new pc again. I wonder what iterations will it have gone through in years forward, when I actually go down to do it.
I need to have all the panels with that square mesh so I can cover them all with jerryrigged radiator mounts and "rockets" (which should also be cheaper to manufacture than the tempered glass, seems like they missed the mark on that one)
Love this channel and your energy. so under rated. Man and your beats are top notch I'm deff copping those as inspiration on the beats i'm trying to make.
TF as a Mod for Quake! Talk about flashbacks, I think that was my first in game "Grapple" Moment, It wasn't taking the PC case to a LAN part that was the headache, it was the CRT monitors haha, The coolest guy in the room was the one who brought the massive switch home from work I remember thinking how much does that cost and its sitting on a plastic chair in the middle of the room haha, good memories. This video gave me scew anxiety, mum jokes and some sweet slider timelapses amazing as always.
Probably my future case (in white) ... unless I get the Mars gaming MC-Elite or the Darkflash DLH21, both in white too. The only problem for me with this Deepcool is the glass side window. I would have preferred a perforated sheet metal window for the airflow.
I went with the Asus Prime AP201 due to your review, and how the measurements were kind of off. Completely true. Specially if you use a 140mm PSU or smaller.
well here in India, I am getting this case for around 3,500 INR, which if converted to USD should be around $40. For that price it's a steal of a deal. I do a lot of inter-city travelling and this case can definitely make my job easier instead of going for a M-ATX case.
Your complaint about having to maneuver the GPU in is probably SUPER skewed by the fact that you're constantly building systems. Most people spend 30 seconds getting the GPU in and it will stay there for months if not years. Kind of a ridiculous complaint honestly.
Good job for including dust filters. I am sick of seeing small cases which are cool, only to be let down by the lack of filters. I would put a second ssd on top where the fan is
From the looks of it, those mesh covers will be inaccessible once the build is completed. Cool idea, but lacking execution. Otherwise, the case is solid.
I’d would have tried like 7700 or 7900 non x and maybe switch that top fan up to intake. I know putting top fans to intake is big no but I believe in the scenario it might be ok
Case is way too big, yet is doesn't seem like it can handle a non-founders 4090....ugh. It aggravates me that these cases can fit founders edition, but not stuff like Asus. Why do these case designers assume everyone has founders editions? So close Deepcool....so close...ugh.
I've been pondering what to eventually replace my 11.5 liter Silverstone SG13 with, and even though this is obviously larger, I think this might be the one.. Between modern I/O, full sized PSU support, glass side panel, and larger GPU support, all while still being pretty dang small and inexpensive, it's a winner! Only thing is I would need to buy an air cooler.. I currently have a 120mm AIO cooler in my SG13, do you think it'd be fine to just put that in this case hooked up to any of the fan mounts? Or is there not even enough clearance for that you think? I see some level of extra space in your build, but it'd definitely be tight, if it fit at all.
why why why is there no perfect itx case, the nr200p can't install front fan and can only install 90mm rear fan, then come this case that fixes all that but now there is a power cord dangling outside the case looking like shit and can't install bottom fans, wtf why do case manufacturers have to do this?
amazing case, love the design, love the assassin, love the way psu and gpu have an exhaust pointing at the exterior of the case, which is not always the case. smart little case, efficient use of space.
i know this is for an itx build .. but please review the SAMA IM01 or IM01 pro with glass panel .. it supports itx and mATX motherboard .. and if you do happen to review it, please compare your experience with building on both the Deepcool and Sama case .. please note the Sama IM01 got its inspiration from the Coolermaster NR200, but i like the Sama IM01 case better for its support of mATX motherboard ..
Too much of the focus has gone into the CPU cooling which is backwards thinking. The GPU is what needs to most cooling and for a case this large, i find it unacceptable to not support active cooling for it. Both the NR200 and M1, both being smaller and the same layout, can support this. some suggestions to Deep Cool for the V2 of this case: 1) better build quality for an $7-80 Price tag 2) make the front panel removeable 3) offer a mesh side panel inplace of the glass 4) reduce the I/O to only; a power button, 1 USB Type A and Audio (personally i'd remove the audio jack as well) 5) after fixing the I/O, remove the excess metal running along the bottom of the case in favor of improved GPU entry. Yes literally make it a squared off hub of IO sitting in the bottom right. 6) Increase Case height and length but reduce width. This goes back to assisted airflow; both top and bottom fans need to be supported over massive air coolers.
i also prefer aluminium and itx is too often related to cheap materials because it's all about the size, and bigger it is, more excited the marketing and investors will be.
You mentioned there is no radiator support and I'll never doubt you but I'm curious to know if the radiator was mounted below the top 120mm fans in a non conventional way (bracket, fan radiator with longer screws) would really love for you to test it if it hasn't already been done Thank you LOVE YOUR VIDEOS....
Man, if only this supported more than 2.5"/3.5" drive, this would've been an instant buy. Still a great chassis nonetheless and I'd probably pick it if I was building a new system right now.
feels cheap? it is the most cute itx i've seen that doesn't cost a human organ, I will def. buy it for my am5 build. Thermals are surprinsingly good in every review I have watched, i am sold.
Deep Cool? With the NSFW one liners you are spitting I honestly thought it was a DeadPool case... Also, was a piece of plastic crinkling ASMR sound that you threw in the mix of the build montage? Brilliant if it was
1) meshroom d = dead. 2) BUT it is another budget SFF case, that is TALL ENOUGH to fit mATX motherboard, but ITX-only instead. That's really bad, because (as I see it), thise kind of cases are positioned for "good performance rigs on a budget". And there is no "sff tax" on mATX motherboards. 3) as with NR200, move motherboard upwards, add 1 slot at the bottom, and there you have it, mATX, same size.
Can you please review Antec C5? There's literally no videos about that case and how a build would look inside it. I'd like to see if you use a matx board
i mean you could do a dual 90mm fans rads if you wanted to... but you probably need an adaptor for it though... BTW the top fan should have been intake otherwise both the top and front fans serve no purpose...
oh and you could mount 240 rads if you use the fans at the top of the rads if you wanted to it looks like depending on the mobo you get, you could fit a 240 AIO...
its running pretty warm in this config... ya think???.... you set the top fan as exhaust... there is almost no fresh air coming into the case from the fans...
can you fit 2 slim 120mm under that 4090? Wanting to try it out and swap my dan a4 h2o for the ch160. Also I think you might have just deprave that cooler from the fresh air by mounting that fan on top and not flipping the airflow. What I mean by that is you should setup the cpu cooler to suck the air from the back, push it to the inside of the case and use 2 120mm fans to suck it out from the front.
One thing that absolutely unnerves me about cases is the ridiculous length of the front panel cables. And the length of these cables is egregious! Why the hell would you use foot-long cables in an iTX case this small?! The motherboard connectors are literally in front of the front panel!
@Gear Seekers i would love to know the exact tempered glass dimension, measured insinde the black frames, exactly the clear window dimension length and height , i have a project in mind with this case, so if you still have it and you can help me, please. thanks
Hi. Will i have clearance problems if my nvme requires heatsink?🤔 Other parts that will go with build is 4080super, peerless asasin 120se for cooling, sfx psu, asrock a620i mobo. Thx!
If im going to be traveling with this case and using the handle. Do they have a configuration with all metal case. I dont like it having a glass panel. And if this case is gonna be used for travel use case. I would rather prefer this itx travel case by SilverStone ML08B-H
