Praying in Tudor-Stewart English. I think that is so great! I'll bet there are few people who can say they can do that. I didn't start using a KJV until about 5 years ago, but don't remember having any problems understanding it. I think if people pray before reading it, it will help them with comprehension. It just seems that people want everything with little effort these days.

Yes, a Webster's 1828 Dictionary is always an excellent supplement to any King James Bible (even the Defined King James). www.thekjvstore.com/noah-websters-1828-dictionary/ Just so you know though, the Defined King James Bibles have been out of print for several years now, and we do not have an updated due date from the publisher as of yet.

+Timothy Turenne Even if the definitions were available in a PDF file, that means you would have to look up every single word as you come across it in that large PDF File, rather than have the convenience of looking down on the very same page in the Defined King James Bible and finding the definition. Not everyone wants to scroll through a PDF file on a computer or a phone for days on end to find definitions of archaic or hard to understand words in the King James Bible. We sell the Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary here that defines more words in the King James Version Bible than any other Dictionary: www.thekjvstore.com/noah-webster-s-1828-dictionary.html, but you still have to have this massive book in addition to your KJV Bible and take the time to look up words which is very tedious. Whereas for less than $60.00 for the most expensive edition, you can have the Defined King James Bible in print which already does all of this for you in 1 book and on the exact page where you need the definition.

Gerald Braun, if these words are added into the text then it will not be a King James Version anymore. The words are added at the bottom so as to not change the real Bible which God has given us but to explain it to those who don't understand.

Hmm, so not understand what you are reading when attempting to read the bible is wrong? Is God the author of confusion? Does he not want us to seek understanding (definitions if needed) for his Word? Respectfully, we 100% disagree. On the contrary, the Defined King James Bible is one of the most conservative and fundamentally minded "KJV Study Bibles" put out by a publisher that is about as exclusively KJV as it can get. There is nothing wrong with a person trying to educate themselves on word meanings. God's commandment is to "study to shew thyself approved" not to "remain ignorant and never look anything up". Find that in the written scriptures telling you to change God's words to meet today's definitions that can be and will continue to change at the whim of men. Funny that you say "You are not supposed to change the words of God in the Scriptures" yet you just spent time "Paraphrasing" verse after verse after verse of the Bible. Your "paraphrasing" is YOUR form of commentary and YOUR form of a dictionary definition. You are "commenting on" and "interpreting" the Scriptures using your own words. I.E. YOU are indeed changing the very words of the Scriptures with your own interpretation. You felt the need to "define" the Scripture for our company and RU-vid viewers. Still, the translator's had to pick and choose various words with various meanings in their translation work. The point is, "the words of the Scriptures" have been changed over and over again throughout history from language to language and translation to translation. The problem is that the "many" manuscripts you mention, are the "wrong" manuscripts, AKA Westcott & Hort / Vaticanus, Sanaiticus. Matthew 18:11 does appear in the Textus Receptus, which the KJV is based on. God Bless.

@@TheKJVStore (2) Matthew 18:11 Googling the Matthew 18:11 controversy one finds: "It (Matthew 18:11) is not found in any manuscript before the 5th century. According to Bruce Metzger, "There can be little doubt that the words ... are spurious here, being omitted by the earliest witnesses representing several textual types... [This verse was] manifestly borrowed by copyists from Luke 19:10." In my modest opinion, holding up the KJV up as the closest representation of the words of Matthew in contradiction to the majority of Greek manuscripts seems an absurd position. I love the KJV, but I prefer that the voice of Matthew informs me.
