Quick question to an older video: my frame specifies 65mm minimum insertion. The seatpost manufacturer claims 10 cm. Is the seatpost manufacturer in any way trying to account for all the different frames it could be paired with... or not? Should I honour both, or just the 65 mm? P.s. I am semi-prepared to buy a new seatpost for the 35mm saving, but also don't fancy causing msyelf an injury :)

I used a miter saw with 80 teeth blade to cut the carbon seat post. Clean and quick. :D

So cutting 2 inches n a querter should not put bike at risk?
