The old Japanese analog delays just have a way of working in a mix/musical context and not be too tinkery, and that's what I love about them. I get overwhelmed messing about with feature-rich pedals that can do everything.

The reason why i love Mythos pedals is that there isn't any bullshit. Some people enjoy that sort of thing but I hate buying a pedal and having too many options. I just want to plug it in and play. I want a pedal for my guitar not a computer.

Zach, I'm greatly enjoying this series of videos featuring each of your pedals! I'm saying this as someone who already owns and regularily plays a majority of your pedal line. Love what Mythos is doing! The Oracle exceeds expectations.

My favorite delay, and one of my all-time favorite pedals. I really enjoy how simple it is, and how good it sounds. It fits so nicely in the background for me. It is destined to be a classic.

The color nod on this was obvious to me and I liked it but but wanted some preset goodness on a vapor trail deluxe. The core tone was more raw and "fun" on the method though. I found the bucket sample rate sound a bit much when over clocking it, but I have a memory man that does that too so it seems totally normal - I love the heroically bright and powerful celebration of echo that this pedal represents. Love it!

Love seeing people online „why didn’t he build a delay pedal for ppl who want one?“ cause dude, how much better can you get than an El Caspian, so this is for ppl who don’t want those 1.000 different settings

Man I love the fact it bit crushes when you utelize the tap with the delay time set all the way to max and slow it down even more. this is actually a fantastic sounding and very very usefull analog delay ( THE ONLY KIND OF DELAY IN MY HUMBLE OPINION) And also as a fairly experienced guitarist for over 30 years.. I have to say I have never ran a whole lot of pedals..when I am in a gigging band usually as a Lead Guitarist/Vocalist, I find that theres only about 3-4 fx I can truly utelize and make great effect of ( hehe pun sort aintended?) in the variety of styles or songs in my personal hard rock/metal/blues/fucked up Aliens gona burn us all alive and melt the world type genres of music i write and Perform. Thats #1 A GREAT CLassic Old Dunlop/Hammond Organ COmpany original Crybaby... or some sort of ACTUAL CRYBABY WAH. Or at least one that is analog and functions in that manner. #2 A good Overdrive/ or tube overdrive pedal for a gain/lead boost, #3 A really rally nice analog delay pedal such as this or my personal fav ive ever owned, a Memory Boy Delux WITH the optional Expression pedal to pull of that INSANE shit that happens when you fuck with the time control, but to be able to control that with a wah style sweepable expression pedal while performing..#4 a EH Pitch FOrk or something similar ALSO with rhe optional Expression pedal. I love the EH Pitch FOrk because it gives you 2 blendabe octave/any step up or down for 2 or 3 entire octaves that you can control and blend into your original un altered guitar tone... this with the epxression pedal allows me to acheive litteraly IMPOSSIBLE tunings and create some amazingly heavy and brutally wierd and warped and wrong sounding shit... I can litteraly use it as a Whammy pedal and more, or utelize it to change my tuning into some super brutal or just plain fucked up weird shit in middle of litteraly anything. Its a very very very cool pedal with the expression pedal and i highly reccomend it. I have the delux model and while its def got a bit of a learning curve, its worth it! #5 A Rotovibe pedal or a sweep-controllable Tremelo or Rotary-soeaker emulator to be more exact.. a really good one as well with an expression pedal to controll the speed. I am a enormous SOundgarden and Kim Thayl/Chris COrnell fan... they are my all time biggest influence as a songwriter/vocalist/lead guitarist..etc. NO other band...( Well maybe Faith No More..but in a entirely different way) has ever come close to the originality and the sheer sonic "garden" of both tonalities and tunings and expressive emotive styles that come both from amazingly gifted and talented song crafting and sonic choices in guitars and effects ad tunings and just tastefully constructed stylistic original ideas and peel-the-paint-off-themofoing-walls vocal power... that COrnell and SOudgarden brought to the world in thier amazing music... From Thayills amazingly blostering and somewhat Indian/middle eastern influenced entirely improvized solo's and amazingly unique and killer sounding heavy rhythms and doom-laced snaking legato licks... to Cornells litteralymost powerful, expressive, talented, tasteful and emotional vocals and his own unique style of playing guitar and song writing that is legendary ... to the incredibly complex/off the wall and out of nowhere weird and yet technically perfect drumming and polyrhythmic style of Matt Camerons incredible drumming, to Ben Sheppards low-slung wierd and eclectic and amazingly ow down and heavy and yet heartfelt and true and jazzy/artisic Bass lines... Soundgarden was amazing....( Sorry didnt mean to turn this into a love letter to my all time fav band... but talking about how great a good expression-pedal controlled rotary speaker pedal is and how amazingly effective and cool its effect is lol...BlackHoleSun made me think about ythem... RIP Chris... i love you man.. you got me through the insane shit of my childhood and inspired me to sing and to try to write music, to try and be a descent and kind man, and to love and live like there is no tomorrow. Thanks brother. Rest well my brother) love yall!

I like the idea behind this pedal, I like a lot of the sounds, top loading jacks are good, but I own an AD999, which is pretty much magical. I think I'd be more likely to come around to the Oracle if the external control jack was for mix, and a hold function on the tap switch for maxed feedback. That would be the bee's knees.

I hate delay, especially with humbuckers. Especially when playing or listening to blues. Only way I will use it is turned down so much that you barely even notice it.

I use it in a similar way. Just to add a little space. We made the mix knob actually work better for that application

Treble city! Not trying to be unkind; but why do people take a Les Paul and turn it into a Telecaster?!
@MythosPedals
@MythosPedals Год назад
There is a reason why all the people playing Teles switched to Les Pauls they are like Teles on steroids. Every vintage one I've played (which is quite a few) are bright and biting and that's the tone I like from an LP.
