It's extremely disturbing how Dr. Phil takes a female teacher having sex with a student as light hearted and fun, but it was a male teacher having sex with a female student the tone would be extremely dark, there would be shaming, polygraph tests, and being called a predator. It's disgusting.

Dr. Phil fooled me for the longest time of him being a voice of reason. Only after I hit around 22 did I realize that he was more of someone using the people who need help by masquerading them on TV. There are claims that his crew even gets the visitor to fall into a bad mental state just to make it more entertaining/shocking for the viewer.
Honestly, even disregarding any age differences, the text messages exchanged had so many red flags in them. The teacher was extremely needy and prone to guilt-tripping. This is not something that should be done in either a healthy relationship or by a 29 year old woman.

It IS a show, it has to keep audiences and advertisers happy- daytime television can’t be too dark, too dry or too serious and retain viewers in its demographic. Overall, it treats most topics appropriately , because , again, audiences and advertisers would not tolerate anything less.
I learned about something called a "chemically induced personality disorder" recently. Like, a person who has consumed so much drugs over such a long time period that they are never the same again. ...Hans certainly screams chemically induced personality disorder as well as some of the others featured in this video and on "Doctor" Phil's show in the past.
I remember watching Dr. Phil religiously as a teen. But once I started college and began majoring in Criminal Psychology, i realised Dr. Phil was a joke. I'd walk into the living room as my mom was watching it and would constantly call it "Jerry Springer for adults." 😂

I'm schizophrenic too, when the illness started presenting itself I was fully unaware and thereby - unmedicated. So I understand how awful Ramon's life would be if he isn't on the meds. Petting yourself on fire isn't even that out there as to what this life ruining illness makes you do. I hope dearly he is getting help. It sucks his country doesn't have free healthcare.

All of which will assist any individual in getting the care they need. All they have to do is ask for help. Much easier to whine though.
To all you in the comments section: I'm the guy you're talking about. My family invested shit loads of money into helping me figure this out after burning up. I had a legendary shrink that taught me some unconventional mental techniques for successfully coping with schizophrenia without using the medication. I have blown the prognosis out of the water in every single way. I've been off the meds more or less for about 8 years and @informitas0117 is right, it's absolute misery. I have, however, chosen to bear this burden with meaning and make the most of it. I'm not where I want to be yet, but since that day I have set and broken world records in fitness, written music, wrote a book, and I'm still climbing against all odds. Now is not time to brag because I'm not there yet, but I'm going to publish videos and a book showing how to deal with schizophrenia without having to take the medication (or even with the meds) because the meds don't help everybody, they don't fix the root problem, and they ALL have serious side effects. I will find a better way and then I will share it with the world.

I remember when there was a guy with his wife trying to make a failing marriage work. He was working like 60 hour weeks because she wanted to be a stay at home wife, and she got them in super debt from her spending and it turned out she was cheating on him. Dr.phil basically told the man he was a neglectful husband and needs to spend more time with her and he started tearing up. He wasnt working so much by choice, it was so they didnt end up in the streets. Havent watched an episode since.

Hans is manic. It’s obvious, any psychiatrist or therapist with a brain would recognize hypomania. Sure he could have some antisocial behaviors mixed in there, but his bizarre sexual topics and nontangential conversations with him self all scream bipolar mania. Jumping on your car and yelling is NOT anxiety disorder. My only thoughts were the psychiatrist didnt have enough sessions to properly document dsm 5 standards for bipolar disorder or Hans was calmer on those days.

It's defined as a milder form of mania and can be related to bipolar behaviour where this mania occurs for a period of days(according to my two minutes of google :D). Mania can last much longer, unless you're joking and you mean Hyper mania like he's a Dragon Ball Z character and his power level just tripled 🤣
It can be hard to get a bipolar diagnosis if you are not actively manic when you are being evaluated, especially in the cases where it is a one-off few hour meeting with a psychiatrist. A friend of mine had a therapist for *months* before she was manic around him, and then he immediately encouraged her to get her diagnosis changed from depression to bipolar disorder.
Crazy asf to me that someone can beat rheir wife to death (one of the worse ways to die), go to prison and be released, attempt to kill their son-in-law with a lot of premeditatation, and still be released again. The justice system in this country is giant failure.
I went to high school with Hans, he was a bit different and awkward but ultimately a kind, happy guy. The last time I saw him, several years after highschool (maybe 2004ish?), was when I saw the early stages of "Sexy Vegan", he talked about Meth amphetamines and described how they made him feel. You could say he was manic, but my interpretation of his behavior was that he was on speed. He also mentioned some disturbing things about animals I would rather not discuss in an open forum like this. Its really sad, and quite frankly I think his progression to where he is was the result of drug abuse. One of the things I remember about him was that he was kind, he was the opposite of a bully in high school.

Well, that would certainly account for bleeding his wealthy mom dry, insisting he lives near W Hollywood and everything about his seemingly at-will manic behavior. Stimulant-induced psychosis is literally indistinguishable from 'normal' Schizophrenia, but only after around 3+ days of sleep deprivation which is when the 'tweaking' symptoms will start to become apparent. If anyone's curious, dopamine-antagonists (aka Antipsychotics) are equally and incredibly effective for both cases with a return to 'normal' behavior within an hour. The problem is, mania is euphoric and they're eventually not willing or able to take their meds and they end up in the streets getting arrested.

I worked at a gas station once and when I started there was a girl who was a few months along. Over the next couple of months, she kept showing more and more gradually, always had doctor's notes, everything. Because she was heavily pregnant, she got to sit on some stacked boxes while she worked the register (there were no chairs in the entire store). Then, around time for her to go give birth, we had a little party for her and talked about how we couldn't wait to see her and the baby. Months went by and when she didn't come back, I thought it was a stay at home mom thing, but then I casually mentioned her to my coworkers and they gasped and said "You don't know?!" This woman faked HER ENTIRE PREGNANCY, the whole thing, convincingly, and no one caught her out on it til we couldn't ever see the baby, and my oblivious ass just missed it. 😂 Truly wild. I have no idea what happened to her but I think the authorities did get involved.
You should do more crime documentaries- u explain things in ways that make my ears melt i can’t explain it but if you ever do get into more criminal stuff i think you’d be hella good at it- there is always a piece of info left out of criminal documentaries and i mean ur pretty good at finding the nooks n crannies of dark information
The teacher student sex story is genuinely one of the hardest things I had to sit through. The fact that the exploitation of a MINOR is glossed over because it was an adult woman sleeping with a teenage boy is so upsetting and gross to me. That woman deserves to be behind bars, or at the very least on the sex offenders registry. It's just fucked up dude.

The fact that SV managed to actually finish a book, let alone two, but couldn't stop himself from fucking up the plot by inserting either himself or becoming straight fanfiction, (as soon as his character was revealed to be a fallen angel and was punished by God, it became fanfiction even if it was sold in an official capacity) makes me want to look closer at my own stuff to be sure my biases are not obstructing a good idea.

There was a guy having a relationship with the English teacher when I was in high school, he was 18 and she was 26. The weird thing is they were pretty open about it and nobody made it a big deal. They stayed together for years after he graduated, I wouldn't be surprised if they're married and have a bunch of kids now. I don't think any of them took advantage of the other though since he was a really bright guy and didn't need any favors when it came to grades. Back then I didn't see it as strange, you wouldn't notice an age difference when they were together. But thinking back, it IS a bit... icky.

If anything, I think, for a casual viewer it's very easy to think the programme is about healthcare. That's why so many people watch.

Well it does happen. Drs says dead walking or walking dead person etc BUT it’s in warning to people who are very Ill but are delusionally believing they’re very super healthy in order to scare them into taking their health seriously. I think the reason a lot of these guests don't have a diagnosis, or at least not a public one, is because they have multiple mental and behaviourial conditions, more complicated than a daytime TV therapist like Dr Phil can make into a short powerpoint segment. Sexy Vegan for example; His manic behaviour could be ADHD, his personality and attitude suggests he may have Narcissistic Personality Disorder and his delusions might be the result of his ongoing drug use.
You forgot to mention how when the jilly juice lady doubled down on it curing homosexuality on the show, some random dude in the crowd frantically tried to run onstage and grab it Lmfao.
I guarantee it was ptsd & if the post made was true untreated schizophrenia that was underlying but kicked off by his encounters prior. The fire make a lot of sense since it was one way he was attempted being killed. He probably just thought they were going after him the whole time whether or not it was true and reached a point of mental implosion.
It's a long story and I wrote a book about it if anyone cares to read it. It didn't really kick off hard until I went to college in Oregon and started smoking lots of newly legal weed. That stuff is bad for your head. It's a lot easier after sobering up but it's a complicated issue.
