The Destruction of Sodom & Gomorrah - Genesis 19 

I’ve been exposed to various protestant churches over the years, and I keep coming back to good old Calvary Chapel. After 24 years, walking with the Lord, I’ve really learned to appreciate, solid Bible, teaching from Calvary chapel pastors. Moreover, their doctoral positions appear solid and grounded. Pastor Guzik teaches clearly and effectively. I really hope that you do these type of videos for the entire Bible. God bless you and your family as well as the ministry that God has given to you.

Our City Council had a number of crosswalks & public washrooms painted in 'rainbow colours' to demonstrate openly the acceptance of homosexual lifestyles. The rainbow flag is displayed in business ads & in various places. Schools are teaching & promoting the LGBTQ + lifestyles saying people need to be 'inclusive & diverse'. It feels like we are living again in the days of Sodom & Gomorrah. It saddens my heart deeply. People seem to be going along aimlessly. Thank you so much for speaking on such a sensitive subject. As listeners to your sermons and followers of Christ, I pray that each of us will forward this timely & compassionate message on as God leads. Good day, David. I am a Sunday school teacher. Sometime, in 2021, While making research on a topic I was preparing to teach; I came across Enduring word for the first time (I quickly fell in love with the site). That is what I use for ALL my Bible research/study till today. Thank you for making yourself available for God's assignment.

In May, I decided I wanted to truly understand the bible- start from the top, and learn. I want to know it as an unfolding story. I've searched for books that might help.. but couldn't find anything to truly explain to a 100% newbie. And then... I stumbled upon Mr. Guzik's Study of Genesis. Ive watched a video each day in my study and am learning SO much! I knew this day would come.. where I'm now caught up and eagerly awaiting the next chapter. how does the story unfold... how does the book end?!?! Waiting patiently for David to finish the story! it reminds of be being a kid again, asking my dad for "one more book, one more chapter." Waiting patiently, Mr. Guzik!

This is my first time that I came across your program and watched it right through and I have to say this ; you have explained Genius 19 in a clear way that I understood far better than anyone else before you . To conclude, I never looked forward to being Rapture as much as I do at this very moment and I can only pray that I am worthy enough to go and spend internity with Jesus Christ in Paradise where there are no more sins and no more tears , an endless life with Jesus to be able to love and love in a way that no words alone could ever explain for I know that it's a love that goes beyond and can only be felt because there are no words that could ever express the love that Jesus has for His children. And to know that at any given time the Rapture could take place I've never been so happy just knowing this. To think about it we are not only in the Last Days I strongly believe that we are now in the Last Hours the Last Moments here on earth before the Rapture. And thank you once again for just being there sharing God's/Jesus word with us all that are watching and listening to you , for you are a blessing and that comes right from my heart to yours .

Sir, I'm from Indonesia and so happy to be able to listen to your blessing channel and explanation on Genesis. What I want to ask is, do you also include Luther's Work on Genesis in your reading while commentaring it? I know you include Dr. Charles Spurgeon's comment and I've known him since my childhood from his writing that my dad always read before preaching for a week and months. I have a program Bible for 1 year and start 2024 with reading Genesis 4 chapters each day. Now, while reading them, of course questions pop up in the people's mind and that's why I'm so happy to share this to answer their curiosity. God bless you Sir and your family. I really like the lgbt topic and am thankful that Indonesian government does not allow that conduct. I hope US can be brave in spiritual and return to God.

Thank you for sharing this teaching. I have been thinking about this topic this week, after what I saw last week during the Cologne Pride festival here in Germany. It was my first time to see the pride march since I moved to Europe during COVID. My heart was weeping to see the hige investments by individuals, corporates and worse, by Churches to celebrate homosexuality. Why do we celebrate sin?? Should we not be ashamed when we sin?

The 1611 king James doesn't say their hands but their hand. And later on Lot says unto them Lord and not lords. I think he understood them to be God (plural to singular): [Genesis 19:10 KJV] But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door. [Genesis 19:18 KJV] And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord: [Genesis 19:19 KJV] Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:

I want to ask a question: I saw this line of quote while studying about Peter's ministry to the Gentile. And I want to verify the source before I use it. This is the quote: A ministry can’t turn people to the Lord unless the hand of the Lord is with them. · You can turn people to a personality without the hand of the Lord. · You can turn people to a social club without the hand of the Lord. · You can turn people to a church or an institution without the hand of the Lord. · But you can’t turn people to the Lord without the hand of the Lord

Always thought Lot and his family was saved because, of Abraham.

What if...LOT is an example of the church, and Sodom is an example of the world? What if...there is a great "dualism" here, perfectly expressing the future? What if...Ezekiel's War and the Rapture go hand in hand? Bingo, that is exactly the analogy the Holy Spirit wants us to grasp. Rapture-Judgement, the whole future of things to come. Luke 21.28.

The debate is at where do we stand regarding the change in laws regarding same sex standing by the GOVERNMENT., how are the children going to assimilate these actions and manifestation across many countries, .

Excellent explanation of the events surrounding the story of Saddam and Gamora but I have a question.. Whatever happened to the 2 son-in laws?? Did they remain?

I have to disagree that consensual homosexuality was a reason God destroyed these two cities. The men of Sodom were looking to have sex with the angels by force. I won’t disagree that homosexuality even consensual does violate God’s law but what we have to ask ourselves is “Don’t I break many of God’s laws as well?” This leads to how Jesus deals with sin and even sexual immorality specifically. Luckily we have John chapter 8 to look towards. We all fail to meet God’s standards. Sodom and Gomorrah had to fall because of their evil and wicked ways; before their power and influence spread

Lot was lying about his daughters, because in verse 32 to 36 the daughters of lot they make their father drunk so that they can have sex with their father, because no virgin daughters that will have sex with their father.

Sodom and gommorah never really existed. The story is a mythe.

The bible is bronze age mythology.
