Stars: Bela Lugosi, Suzanne Kaaren, Dave O'Brien Director: Jean Yarbrough A mad scientist develops an aftershave lotion that causes his gigantic bats to kill anyone who wears it!
I know what you mean by feeling like your living in a different era, all of my relatives and friends questions me how/why I got into these kind of classic movies as a teen especially when I’m in my mid 20’s now lol
Having OCTOBER 31 as a birthday for 80 yrs. You can only imagine how much I love this kind of film. Many thanks. Three cheers for Bela & bat families all over film land.
Footnote: No Devil Bats were harmed during the filming of this motion picture. Additionally, after shave sales plummeted after the release of this movie. Lol
The crow-like squawking was funny enough, but when it let out the long shriek during its dive bomb, it fully made me lol. (And I love how the guy with the thick Eastern European accent has a nice Scottish name.)
Just in case anybody out there doesn't know this. The leading lady here is the same one who played the dancer on trial (Gale Tempest) in that funny Three Stooges short.
@@quester09 The name you are looking for is Suzanne Kaaren listed in the credits ,born 1912 pasted at 92 ,I enjoyed the research , she did a lot of interesting things
But those he wanted to kill were interested in his scent creations. Also none had beards and I doubt a beard would have deterred a devil bar enraged by the secnt
No disrespect to Mr Lugosi, but the props in this movie were terrible. The scenes where he is talking to the bat looks like he is talking to a rug . The only time the bat looks real is when they insert close ups of a real bat. Also the parts where the bat is flying - totally unrealistic. Really dreadful.
