This is my territory! It is my gift from the Most High! Because the Lord Himself gave it to me, Satan may threaten, but he cannot touch it!!! Many times, speaking in tongues has been a lifeline through extremely difficult times! Now, more and more, it is my beautiful place to enjoy being with my God! If I have to use it as a sword, I will, as a warrior, and as an interceding power in prayer!!! No one can take away this gift from me! God bless you both!

I just left a church that didn't believe in speaking in tongues. When I pray in tongues I know I'm speaking to God because I get so emotional! Praise God!

Yes the devil is weak his only strength is deception, he doesn't present himself as evil but as an angel of light.

Some Christians told me praying in toungues isn’t biblical so I felt discouraged and a while back I do remember being filled with the Holy Spirit and just on fire with the speaking of tongues

Just to share my testimony,I am praying in tongues for 1-2hours and I experienced peace, love, joy, protection like the Lord is carrying me and then I also prayed in tongues as my weapon during spiritual battle. Recently, we had a spiritual attack and distraction in midnight till morning outside of our house that causes our guard dog to howl. And then, I prayed in tongues as my weapon, called on the Lord to change the atmosphere with His peace , pleaded the blood of Jesus, used my authority as a believer to bind and loose and then the dog just didn't howl anymore. Glory to God in Jesus matchless name!!! Amen!

I love speaking in tongues most of the time we don't know how to pray or connect with God. It you want to speak in tongues put Worship in Tongues everyday.

Tongues is my freedom freeing me from speaking inhibitions . Without tongues I would have exploded as the awesomeness of Jesus coming into my life was beyond language.

Prayer covering in church ground is cleansed, while at home you need to do your own cleaning. Taking authority in your own home. You make a lovely team! Excellent point the devil hates one to flow in the spirit, worship, tongues, reading the word. Good points.

Thank you guys so much. There is a lot of revelation, wisdom and understanding in your message. Thanks again. I receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit at 15 years old in a catholic charismatic youth retreat, but not the gift of speaking in tongues. That experience was amazing, supernatural, even without tongues. When other people would used tongues I used adoration with my words: I love you Lord, I blessed you, I adore you Jesus, You are worthy, you are holy ... That keep me for years. I failed and ended in the new years, but then I came back. My pastor said I didn't have the baptism of the Holy Spirit because I didn't speak in tongues, but I knew, that I knew, that I knew that I had it. She prayed and fast for me and with me for deliverance from the strongholds of new age and for the 'whole' baptism of the Holy Spirit, and in a women retreat a was honored to received it, when I was in my 40's. I never doubt I had Him in me, as my best friend, not even when I couldn't speak in tongues. Years later I received the gift, I was watching a video of some generals of the faith, a marriage couple (English is my 2nd language). The husband was receiving a message of the Spirit. He was speaking in tongues and some words in English. The wife was 'interpreting tongues'. In my mind I was concerned, I though I didn't was understanding English, when our pastor ask if everybody saw the move of the Spirit and the used of the gift. I asked if he wasn't speaking all in English. My friends said: NO. And in that moment the Wonderful Spirit of God hit me with revelation: "we can be 'speaking in tongues' as we speak our own language" That was what happening to me when I was 'adoring" Him in my own language without the gift of tongues. The atmosphere around me changed in the same way, He communicated with me in the same way, his secrets, his loved, all was the same, except that I didn't have to think in try to not be repetitive or try to sound original in my adoration :-) Keep your sharing and testimonies on. Let the Father, the son and the wonderful Holy Spirit bless you with more and more.

I dont understand. I pray in tongues, but i get very sad. My body reacts and i feel terrable. But afterwords i feel better. Yes when i move into a new area it is worse

I don't want to speak in tongues either, unless it's to preach gospel to another language group. The devil DOES LIKE IT when people desire the counterfeit use of tongues, which is speaking into the air in an unknown gibberish language which edifies no one.
