V3 is way way better than the prior gens! Definitely a gem and I encourage people to check them out.

I still prefer my v1 over the latest gens. Haven't felt the need to upgrade after play testing them .

I just switched back to the Elevate V3. I really like your review. The 10 grams I added to the handle really makes it quite stable. It reminds me of a modern version of my Pro Staff 85. I actually like the fact that off center hits are crappy; it is good feedback.

I've been hitting with the V3 for the last week, and I had zero issue returning serve with them (quite the opposite really). That being said, I might experiment with a touch of weight for a bit more pop.

My current frame of choice is the Elevate tour. I recently purchased the V3. I like the update a lot. I agree these frames play better with a hybid set up over a full bed poly. I added a leather grip and I think some more weight helps the stability. I also added a gram of lead tape to 3 and 9. I love the control of the frame. Keeping the string tension low opens up more power and comfort. Your opinions on where the frames could be better is spot on. Great review!

I really appreciate that the Elevates bring something unique to the table. They dont just feel like EZONE or Blade copies. I should have said this in the video, but creatinga unique identity for your frames is an impressive feat for a smaller company.

@@TennCom I agree 100% that Diadem has created a unique control orientated frame. If you get a chance to try the Nova, its an interesting frame. I wish Diadem would release an extended length Elevate. I would like the control with the increased reach and plough.

Well done with the review. I haven’t hit with the tour yet and I’m currently going back and forth between the Elevate V3 and the Graphene 360 Extreme Tour as my main sticks. The Elevate V3 gently corrects any hitches in my strokes, I struggled with it initially as I was using to much wrist and not enough kinetic chain. But now, I’m getting consistent groundies with good spin and plow.

Thanks Andy! The Elevate is a great self-teaching tool as it doesnt let you get away with bad habits (of which i have too many)

@@TennCom it is interesting you found it uncomfortable. I think comfort is a very personal thing. It was super comfortable for me ever against big hitters. You and I can both be right.

I have comfort issues with the 360+ Extreme Tour in stock form as well. Mostly just on service returns when I can’t take a full swing/am late.

I didn't expience some much instability as in your test, I only added a few grams in the throat and the Elevate V3 performs incredibly well. I switched from Head Gravity Pro ProStock. When I tested the Extreme Tour 360+, a few years ago, I had to add to much weight to make it works and I sold it. By the way, nice review!

@@TennCom my TGTs are lighter, but still very solid, 310gr, 31.2 cm balance, SW297, 27.25 lenght. They are now unstrung in my bag 'cause I'm using the Elevate, but I watch them and I'm tempted every day...

Thanks for the great review. I am considering these as an update to the 2012 ish era Dunlop Aerogels. Have you played with them to be able to compare? I have the 200’s in several set ups, including the Tour 16x18 heavier stick, The standard 200 18x20, and the more rare 200 Japanese model that is 16x19. I don’t foresee ever totally replacing because of how good they feel and play. But a couple of them are really starting to wear. I mainly use synthetic gut at around 55 lbs., sometimes hybrid with poly.

I think this racquet would play best with Natural Gut mains and Grapplesnake Tour M8 1.25 in the crosses at 50/52lbs.

First 1.5 hitting session with the V3 Elevate. I wanted to play both the V2 and V3 parallel to each other, but I was enjoying the V3 too much to leave it on the bench! I'll do next time. Both strung with Topspin Cyber Soft 1.25 (think round-shaped "stiff" control oriented string). The V3 felt a tad softer, much more stable at the next and maaaybe slightly more powerful. I'll share more feedback next time. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wOIKKNVJ-Mk.html

How did you go this entire review without saying “twist weight”? Did you make a point to not say it? That’s like your catch phrase. Appreciate your honesty with this sticks. I played the gen 1 tour a lot and loved it. Only issue I had was it was a pretty low swing weight for a 315 static. But I did love the stiffness of the tour compared to the regular. The regular was too soft and under powered feeling. If I were to do it again I probably would go regular tho and do some lead at 3/9 to fix stability and then maybe a touch at 12 if necessary to get swing weight to upper 320s without having to like on the lead at 3/9 to achieve it.
@TennCom
@TennCom Год назад
Hahahaha, perhaps I should have mentioned this, but I’ve asked Diadem about this specifically and they do not QC for twistweight and I don’t think one off measurements from my samples matter that much.

You should try catching your racquet with your left hand on forehand. Kind of stays down at your side… You’d get a lot more centrifugal force and therefore power.

Making tour stiff is too bad, I love 16/20 of vc95 and Prokennex, but stiff frames are lame

They also claim to be the only American tennis company totally ignoring solinco and... WILSON. Lol
@TennCom
@TennCom Год назад
They might be referring to which country currently owns them. I believe Solinco is South Korean and Wilson is Chinese. I think Prince is kind of American since TW owns their US division, but it might not fully count as there's a separate Prince entity in Japan too.
