Decisions, decisions... Diadem sent Ian 3 new racquets to put through the paces, but only ONE can be his new racquet moving forward. Which should he go with? #tennis #review #realtennis

Mad props Ian for doing a racket review that uses normal language to describe what you feel! I'm sick of reviews that talk about "launch angle" and "plow through." Those terms have really lost their meaning IMO, so appreciate this down to earth review.
Very cool. I've never tried diadem but I've heard good things esp if you compare it to the old wilson prostaffs. I moved to the 97L But for years I was looking for the racket you're describing. I also really was surprised by the new lite rackets. I ended up switching to the 97L and weighing it up. My old wilson ps90 was 363g and my final weight of my 97L is 323g. Really want to give these diadem rackets a try. Did you mention what the headsize is?
So, it's been a LONG time since I've hit with any of the 6.1 frames, but based on memory the weight, balance and swing weight are really similar to the Elevate Tour. The main difference is flexibility....I remember the 6.1 line being more stiff where the Elevate is a little bit more flexy, a little more like a Prestige. Definitely give it a try!
Hello Ian. I have been following the reviews of the Diadem Elevate Tour for some time, but no one has specified the swingweight of the racket, a fact that is super important to me, since I have tried many rackets before and it is essential to give me an idea of how I can play with the racket. By the way, I am one of those who is in favor of making more videos reviewing rackets and strings. It's good to see you back, I love the content you make. Greetings
So if one has a 475g racket currently, we would know what to choose. 🙂😉 Awesome review, nice, clean and straight to the point. Love their colors, truly epic. Can't wait to get my T-shirts from them Thank you RT for the generous 15% off. Cheers! M
@@REALTENNIS Yea, I did up until recently. I had 2 heavily modified 2019 Babolat Aeros that were up until recently at that weight with a 4.5 grip, close to 520g swing weight and 67 tension. They both got cracked after a couple of years of heavy use. I started convincing myself that it wasn't necessary keeping my super old school ways. Slowly but surely I come down in weight and string tension learning todays forehand swings, that's taken me years now. My torn right shoulder from years ago wasn't tolerating the weight either. I am currently at 350g and 50 tension. The racquets feel like featherweight sticks now; as I find many times that I'm too early with my swings, also thanks to my partial blindness things are to say the least complex. The crazy numbers were my racquets' setting in the old days, that eventually helped in tearing my shoulder muscles while in a serve competition. Oh well, you live and learn and it's been a super challenging and actually enjoyable trip with ET Academy as a great guide.
I've been playing the 305 V2 Elevate for just over a year and now these past 2 weeks the V3 305. To the new one they have added the Kraibon rubber material that has made the racket noticably softer overall (some could say more muted). BUT, it is much more stable on serve returns, super stable at the net and less twisty on slight misshits. It's great the V3. Much better than other 16*20 like the Babolat Pure Strike VS, that gave me shoulder soreness every time.
Are you playing with the Tour version? And how would you say the return of serve feels against a bigger hitter? Another review I saw did not feel very stable to them. I do know grip, footwork, timing, etc. goes into this shot and result, not always the racquets fault on twisting.
@@rodneyalt827 the regular 305 gram version. What I mean by stable, I mean it twists less on slight misshits on returning serves than some other rackets. The Elevate V3 is a very good racket in my opinion. You just need to find the right string setup. The only thing I didn't like was the rubbery paint finish that seems to be the same feel with the new Head speed
Would the Lite version suit a stronger 3.5/4.0 woman? Or is the 98 head and “pro staff-like” controlled response still too demanding? I am putting together a demo list for a friend.
Your swing is so compact (abbreviated), that I cannot help but assume that your choice of the Tour is a mistake. That is visible first and foremost in your point game, where you get tight and keep pushing the ball without proper take-back. I sincerely don't think that the Elevate Tour will benefit you most if you maintain that style of play (and I don't see you improve on your technique throughout the many years I've been following your channel(s)). So, please try to swing faster with the Tour (this racket deserves to have her full potential revealed!) or give some more time to testing the 305g version, or even the Lite.
What part of which of my swings is "compact" and "abbreviated"? My game has been criticized thousands of times over the years but I'm pretty sure I've never read that before...
the problem with taking on a racquet sponsor is that you can only review the brand's racquet. Content is kinda boring because I'm not interested in Diadem racquets.
I can review any racquet/brand I want. Frankly, I'm personally not interested in doing it, but if lots of people would like that I could in the future.
