It is nearly impossible to find video on HOW to grow Monstera outdoors. As far as light requirements, what to do when it rains, do's and donts. It's all tips for indoor monsteras. I would LOVE to find more content on outdoor growing !!
Loving the monstera content. Would love to see your take on how you attach your Montreal to both kinds of stakes. I have an indoor plant that’s droopy after repotting and I don’t think I staked properly.
Hey man, I really want to grow my monstera outdoor, but I fear the light amount it is exposing to, can you do a video on where you position your plant to get the fair amount of light it need? thank you.
Helloo my 2 monstera’s are both outdoor plants and have been outdoor since the beginning of march they are thriving! But i am a little concerned about winter around the corner should them in for the winter ?? I know they are tropical and it does get quite cold in the south
Question: how do you care for your outdoor monstera in the winter? Do you bring it inside or do you keep it outside and continue with your regular maintenance?
Hi! If you live in an area with a moderate climate, it can stay outdoors. Otherwise, I recommend bringing it indoors but you'll need to can it away from too much heat. It might dry out.
It's not dots they are holes the big leaves block the smaller ones at the bottom from getting sunlight therefore the holes allow sunlight to reach the younger smaller leaves at the bottom
Hello, I planted a Monstera outside in the ground and it is doing excellent. Growing fast and healthy. However, I just noticed that it has a lot of roots on top, which caused me to think about how much roots it must have in the ground. Do this plants roots cause plumbing problems, do they get into the pipes? Thanks
These are aerial roots and they tend to grow massive, but don't worry its not going to get a lot worse , only if you live in the tropics you should be aware of it is going to be invasive! I live in North Greece, I keep my monstera outdoors in a pot, my zone considered to be 9a .
Hi! Unless you live in the tropics, it won't be invasive or cause plumbing problems. If you notice a lot of aerial roots, it's ok to cut them back. It won't hurt the monstera.
I'm considering in the summer time putting some of my plants including my Monstera on my patio. Is that safe for the plant? It's growing fine by my window now but I figure some outdoor air/light might be good for it. Thanks for the vid btw!
If it’s growing fine in its current spot, I wouldn’t change the location unless the patio would be receiving the same conditions or better conditions. I made the mistake of changing my monsteras location to outside and shocked the plant within a day, and took awhile to recover. I would just be careful with what ever you end up doing and make sure to acclimate it if you do. Best of luck!
