Its funny because I went to my local spirit Halloween, and I didn't see a SINGLE dc or marvel/disney outfit (and I combed the store head to toe as I use it to by props) and not like it was sold out either, there was literally no section or tags or anything, just more slasher outfits and other movie tie-ins even Spirit Halloween gave up gave up on them lmaooooo
Last year a friend of mine bought two 10' tall realistic skeletons from Walmart, and he said that this year Home Deport has a 12' version. I like them because they seem proportioned propertly. Most skeletons look too fake with flat rib cages etc
There used to be a joint costume/gaming store called U-need-us which had a full-size skeleton on the wall. As a kid, I always wanted it but the price was always out of reach (I can't recall what it was now). I should treat myself to something similar now that I can afford it.

If you look at that section (at least in my local store for reference), there is only classic Scooby Doo. No "Velma" stuff. Classic Velma sells, and I picked up a Scooby Snacks cross-body bag because they only had one in stock and it had my name on it. C:

The only Star Wars costumes I saw when I went looking for a Wednesday costume for my kid was Mando and Vader in the boys section. My 9 yo little girl wants to be Wednesday despite the fact that she loves lightsabers. She has no interest in being Ahsoka and thinks the lekku are weird lol Wednesday Addams is VERY big this year for girls

I went to my local Ollie's and they have tons of Marvel and Star Wars stuff that they can't sell. Old Shang Chi, Black Panther, Last Jedi and other Star Wars lines just piled in racks. My how the house of mouse has fallen.

Recently spotted at Dollar Tree: one-pound boxes of cereal from Post, $1.25 each, expiring in February, celebrating the Disney 100-year anniversary and featuring Pixar characters. Dollar Tree gets a lot of overpriced or just weird cereals that didn’t sell, usually but not always General Mills products. They had relatively tiny boxes of Hocus Pocus 2 cereal a while back. But I don’t think that the Disney connection is making cereal more appealing.

I'm 44, old enough to have thought 'Scream' was cool when it came out OVER TWENTY YEARS AGO. Why did the manufacturers of 'Scream' merchandise think anyone alive still thinks the movie is cool? If I made Halloween costumes, I certainly wouldn't waste money on licensing fees for 'Scream'.

About the anime constumes. Most of them are Naruto, but there are other masks from Bleach, Demon Slayer, MHA and even Tokyo Ghoul. And yes all of those masks belong to an important character or associated with an important group. As for whether or not those anime are good, for me IMO. MHA is decent along with Demon Slayer while Bleach (without fillers) is good. Tokyo Ghoul though it's bad especially Re.
I wonder if there is a warehouse somewhere full of Disney Halloween costumes for 2023 but nothing is shipping because nobody is interested in the garbage!!
MHA has been wrecked by the creator. He is desperately trying to end it, no matter the cost. What ever heart the series has was killed by his editors many, many years ago.
Just curious after watching many of these walk-throughs: Do you guys tell the store folks either before, during or after that you videoed their merch? Do the Target, Wal-Mart and Ollie's people learn about it the same time as we see it?
I live in the third world and the fact some of these toys are like 1/3 of the minumum wage is kinda hilarious, Disney really expect us to pay for a boring Eternal toy or ShuriCopter at that price? Hell no. Lol
Mystique. What made any fantasy or sci-fi stuff fun in the past was the mystique of it all. Writers giving away all of their character backgrounds ruins the mystique. It's not fun anymore. There's nothing to enjoy. Either in the name of emasculating heroes or explaining (don't do this) why new world characters are so good at everything and their motivations. There's no mystery. There is no mystique. There is just 'this happened'. Nobody cares anymore.

Best thing about Halloween? Girls can slut out any costume. I think I liked Halloween more as I got older. From candy and trick or treating as a kid. Got older drinking to looking scantly covered women. That was more my style.
Shockingly, there’s zero small arms in the original Top Gun. Shockingly there isn’t even a random sentry with a rifle in an establishing shot. Also it’s about the Navy’s naval aviators, not the Air Force. I’m surprised that oni hasn’t made the generic/unbranded masks yet.
All the fun feedbacks Anime-naruto is good, nice staple Shonen, the spin off shits the bed. My hero is good for a couple seasons, demon slayer just has pretty animation, story is mid. Yes, for Nightmare before Christmas, and Marshmallow is a "DJ" that makes super bland and forgettable edm music. Basically like eating marshmallows. Really sweet for 15 seconds and then it's just a slog of diabetes level sugar rush. Also hell yeah I'm about to hit Spirit just to get some of that fire decor, Jason Pillows, Mars Attacks Blankets, Killer Klown set pieces, they got some good stuff
